  1. And what about the criminal Navy officers who have been involved in this crime? Soon forgotten in so called Buddhist country.

    What crime dear?

We are speaking here about the EU ban on exports due to illegal fishing.

    Not about human trafficking.

They are dealing with this as we speak.

They have already rescued about 50 people, out of the thousands on fishing boats out there......................

I do understand, everybody can get mixed up, sometimes........

Costas, it's not unusual for fishermen to pay off navy etc for fishing in prohibited areas or over-fishing certain types of fish. My next door neighbour in Phuket was chief of the marine police and we used to get loads of calls from him telling us he'd just arrested a crew for illegal fishing and had confiscted the catch - did we want aby tuna etc - reality was that it was likely to be the pay-off.

  2. I think Holland is safe. I mean, who on earth would go their willingly? The Navies of Europe should patrol the coasts of Libya (and N Africa) when they come across a boat full of refugees, take the refugees on board and send the boat back. When the boat id a couple of miles away - blast it and it's crew out of the ocean.

But about these "refugees". What I see on the news are endless amounts of young, well-groomed families wearing good clothes that have paid up to £1500 per person, mostly Muslims. There could be a lot in it when people claim they are financial refugees.

  3. If the U.K. and the E.U. countries had any sense at all - they governments would simply declare a stoppage of all immigration except on a highly selective screening ... people who possess skills in science, engineering, etc., have a job offer, and who can contribute something to society besides living off the dole, protesting and demanding more rights and generally acting like asses in other peoples countries.

    queue UKIP and Nigel Farage....

  4. Just do a quick google search on World's best islands; you'll find a lot of links and none of them (except trip advisor) even mention Koh Tao or any other island in Thailand come to that, even if you drill down a bit to best islands in Asia etc. Santorini is consistently number 1 though then the usual suspects, a few of the Hawaiin islands, Bora-Bora, Fiji etc. Koh Toa might the World's number 1 island to go and get murdered though...

  5. Regain it's lead? That would mean at some stage Thailand was indeed the region's economic leader. When?

Yes indeed between year 2001-2006. Our reserve double, stock exchange outperformed regional, budget balance and fiscal surplus achieved, income inequality was the narrowest and debt to GDP declined from 51% to 40%. Thaksin was the PM then.

Fantastic! It was stronger than China and Indonesia? I just bet the yellow shirt apologists are eating their hearts out!!

  6. You answered your own long winded question in your second paragraph. It can cause blockages. Why and why do we not (usually) get blockages in most European countries? Because of the diameter of the soil pipe. It's a lot smaller in Thailand than elsewhere. As a matter of interest, it's not only Thais that use the bum-gun. Most expats I know use them too and roo not having them when they return home! It's a cleanliness thing.

  7. BTW, when did the UDD ever have any support in Pattani? It is hardly Redshirt country is it?

Led by former Labour Minister Dr Prasong Buranapong, they did declare a Red Shirt Village in Trang province last Thursday (November 1)

and they have also declared Villages in the troubled Deep South provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat,

though opponents say that only a handful of houses in those villages have openly declared support by hanging out red flags. -

    See more at: http://www.thephuketnews.com/protesters-block-new-phuket-red-shirt-village-plan-34307.php#sthash.3IYuSMsS.dpuf

That article is 3 years old and says they were stopped from living there. Such is Thai society. You can only live somewhere if you wear the right coloured shirt. A friend of mine (British) left a company he was working for because everybody kicked off at him for being a redshirt. He was wearing a Man Utd shirt and probably cares less about Thai politics than he does British politics.

  8. The real reason he couldn't be circumcised is because there's just no end to this prick!

He was just practising on himself before he offered his services to others. Don't know why he would bother as there is no pay for doing a circumcision... Although you do get to keep all the tips...

  9. So much anger towards ISIS ... this is a war . You think the serbs were that much different in bosnia ?

(to use an example close to home ). You think wars in europe the last 1000 years were different?

You think the civil war in the US was different?

Of course back then there were no youtube video's...

So I guess you condone all of the beheadings and the kidnapping of young Christian girls as sex slaves to other pervert Muslims? You have absolutely NO idea what you're talking about do you? Serbs and Bosnians being different? There is hundreds of years of hatred there, the most immediate from WW2 and then to 1945 when Tito recognized Bosnia Herzegovina which pur the Serbs nose out of joint. I won't go into a history lesson Comparing Serb/Bosnian conflict the whole slaughter by IS is insane. This IS thing is no war. There has been no declration of war, IS is not a country nor a state just a particularly violent and twisted terror group

  10. "became suspicious why the pickup truck spent six hours to travel just less than 300 kilometres."
"Where the pickup truck stopped or went to on the way to Don Sak which should take not more than three hours, they said."

National speed limit is 90kph (with the exception of 2 highways) so at that speed limit it would take 3 hours 20 minutes without stopping for gas or slowing at villages/traffic lights etc. 6 hours (maybe 5+) sounds about right. I can't believe they would think these people would speed and break the law......Joking aside, surely the last thing they would want is to get stopped by plod for speeding or iffy driving.. That's if they really were the bombers of course
