  2. i know what you mean but sorry i have never seen such a product here

but having said that even credit cards in Thailand are pre paid as such because even if you as a foreigner can get one you are required to open an account and deposit an equal amount to your given credit limit and i think the deposit cannot be accessed to be used in any other way apart from collateral for that limit that's my take on the situation but again i do not have a credit card so a second opinion might shed more factual info basically go without its easy to manage now i am going to stick my neck out and say if your credit card were say cloned any loss i am sure will be debited initially from your pocket or the security account until such times as you prove different Thai banks have a strict one way policy and its their way loaded

    This information isn't correct.

I have a number of credit cards issued by banks in Thailand, none of which I have deposited funds into their banks, or given any form of security. Credit limits on these cards vary from 150,000 to 400,000.

They all require a minimum of 10% of the outstanding paid every month. I would hate to have anything outstanding as the interest rates are very high.

Main reason I have these credit cards are to be able to benefit from their favorable dining promotions, many cases are 30 to 50% off the bill at hotel restaurants

then you are thai or you have a monthly income in thailand what is 200000 Baht or more for this Credit limit,

or you have somebody garantie for you and signed at bank with you

  3. No ,bangkok bank open account without work permit . Visit their site it's clearly stated . You have to give passport, a second proof of identity ( your driver license of your country ) and a proof of adress in thailand ( lease agreement ) ...and you can have internet banking. I opened an account like that...the staff was friendly and i show them on their website the papers needed . No problem

Sent from my AT300 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

No ,bangkok bank open account without work permit ???

    sorry not accurate info

for Bkk Bank no Visa required, even on 30 day stamp you get a account + internetbanking,

  4. Wonder if they would accept my complaint over a non-elected government??coffee1.gif

Or would the "rapid response team" escort me to the airport??

So far this government has done very well considering the pre-existing problems it is trying to deal with.

Why don't you give them a chance?

You give chance to a junta who is use only lies and propaganda 190000 complains, they not did 500 in real.

This goverment is the worse what could thailand happend. Or is there any positive change in law ?

You cant even dscuss about politics, about work of police without to scare to go in prison.

And in 2 years we will all see the result, And this result will not be good for Thailand and for sure not good for all foreigners living here

  5. it is realy funny how all th TV members jump on every stupid interview of a thai official, this curfew never can happend because for this must be a law and it would means everybody would have to be at home at 10 pm,

how they prove this peopel are not tourists? I just meet last week 4 women from myamar in Chiang Mai who spent a weekend there.

Youu cant make a curfew on nationality or work even Thailand cant do!

But you all believe it, if a Thai say something stupid and not workable, even after more than 100 stupids interviews in the last months, still people react like it is real. So all the dive intructors working on the islands now ou will time to sleep early because your day finish at 10 pm clap2.gifcheesy.gif

  6. whistling.gif I'm the one whois I trying to push the idea of the "Self Employed Online Worker" visa in Thailand.

So far with very little success.

All you so-called "digital nomads" should be pushing for this visa, but frankly, a lot of you are just using your "work" in Thailand as just an excuse to booze it up and avoid paying taxes anywhere (including your home country).

In order for there ever to be a real "Digital Workers On-line Visa" in Thailand, you need to make such a thing profitable for the Thai government.

That means you have got to cut them in on a share of the tax revenue from the legitimate income you earn on-line.

Yes, I know you don't like that idea.

But if you ever get such a visa is to come about you need it to be desirable for the Thai government to enact it.

That, my friend, is called a "Quid Pro Quo" ..... or more commonly ...... everybody gets their due share, you wash my hands and I wash yours.

It would also be beneficial to you who work here in Thailand to be legal, and also the income tax rates are usually lower in Thailand than in other developed countries around the work.

My proposal therefore is that such a visa would require taxes to be paid on the PORTION of your on-line income that you bring into Thailand for living expenses here in Thailand.

You would declare that, and pay Thai taxes on that as you would income earned in Thailand.

For that , you would get the right to a Digital Worker On-line Worker visa that would allow you to live in Thailand and could be renewed annually.

Of course that annual renewal would require annual tax filing in Thailand.

    Think about it.

    rolleyes.gif

what a stupid comment, no country give every a visa or work permit to people to work outside their country or offer service, thai goverment can only provide work permits to work in thailand, but this would give the people the right to work for thai customers and offers service on thai market.

why all the peopek on retirement Visa dont pay tax? because thailand not have the right to charge, if they would charge any tax, all the peopek would have the right to work in thailand and get social insurance and helth insurance.

if you offer service for customers in other countrys you are not working in thailand and you doing nothing illegal

  7. Thailand's "leaders" have a long tradition of creating their own propaganda. Their reports from Milan will all be fawning over how the 'PM' is (1) accepted, and (2) improving Thailand's image on the world stage.

And polls like this will continue - there is no end in sight.

next week they will write in Thai news that Obama and Merkel are calling Prayut´s to ask for his oppinion about the world problems, this man is the biggest shame for thailand, he change nothing, nobody got charged for anything, old buddy´s are back in power.

Everbody who sucked out this country do not have to fear anything, they not loose any money or face charges.

  8. <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

Seems about right. That would fall in line with the figures that show a 7% fanatical group that embrace terrorism.

Good to see that 93% of the population are looking at a brighter, peaceful future where their voices will be heard post ballot box. Unless of course we will be referring to an election over 3 years ago to discredit this poll conducted 24 hours ago.

Yes, it's a shame that we can't point to elections in 2014 or 2015. Who knows about 2016? That will depend on whether the Junta has eliminated all potential domestic and foreign (thai) critics.

who believes this lies from Thai agencies? in january he will have 133% and the worse thing is, that the Tahi even would not recognize that this is not possible, everything over 60% is a lie and this is valid for every country in the world

  9. General, I've trusted you up to now.

You are making me to change my mind about your way of thinking and acting.

Be the man that you appeared to be at the beginning.

Don't let people stop trusting you and your judgement.

Are you crazy? This man made the biggest crime in Thailand, he took over the power with weapons, he not respect a elected goverment, he not respect the constitution! He was the Army chief in one of the most corrupted countrys in the world, how he get this position? He and hes family they have assests what are 50 times more what they could ever earned in their job, even when counting they never spent any Baht or ever payed any tax.

Do you think this guy is Ghandi?

This is a criminal and one day he and the other guys from the junta will sit in prison for what they made

  10. how you can believe any statistic, do you realy think that nay number published by TAT or THA are real, they published what they want to .....

thai tourist bussiness is near to collaps, tussian rubel went down 20 % in the last 10 month, world economic everywhere, but prices in thailand went up, holiday in Phuket, Bkk, Samui costs you more that the same level in Europe, double pricing everywhere, no respect of customers and their needs, and more than 40% of holiday bussines was built up in the last 10 years, so more competition and higher risk in bankrupt, if there will be a bad season there is no back up, a lot of people will loose everything, I live in Chiang Mai, and i have the time for make every month some days holiday, but if 4 days in Phuket or Samui costs me more than a flight to Europe than for sure I wont, CM to Koh Samui return flight with Bkk airways, 48000 Baht for 3 people, to Europe 60000 Baht for 3 people,
