  1. No you can't - it's in that woman's stomach! ????
  2. Anyone who has lived in Thailand for more than a few months knows never to walk on drain covers, manholes, in fact any type of cover or lid for a well or hole or roadworks etc. The fact that they were Thai means (I assume), that they had more than a few months of living in Thailand to be aware of the risks. So I guess one can conclude "you can't fix stupid". Did they sleep on railway lines as well?
  3. They won't have that, but your new Thai 'girlfriend' might!!
  4. Maybe you are a lard-bucket and the waitresses reckon you'll be a pushover if they mention food....
  5. After leaving Naypyitaw in late 2018, and a spell of living in Laos and Thailand while teaching online, I'm returning to live and work in Myanmar in a couple of weeks from now. I'm exchanging the 'delights' of Pattaya for the uncertainty of living in Yangon, with growing civil unrest. I decided to return to Myanmar because it is easier for me to do my (very small-scale), educational charity work for Myanmar students if I'm actually living in the country again. I think my efforts (although small) will be welcome by many students who are unable to attend school I will be teaching at an international school, and will continue to teach online in the evening/weekends. This joint income will certainly help to cover the cost of books for my charity work. Alas, it's no longer safe for me to visit Shan State by motorbike - so book deliveries will be by bus postal service. Who else is living in Myanmar right now?
  6. Yonks ago I had a very painful lower back, due to falling off a horse. One evening in Silom, the pain was so intense that I ventured out with my Thai GF to find a massage shop. The only one open was a LB massage place, but OK that's cool. The LB instructed me to lie on my front and he then sat on my buttocks and proceeded to massage my lower back, backwards and forwards. The back pain rapidly reduced, but my GF was lying on the floor howling with laughter. "Darling, it look like he <deleted> you" she exclaimed! So, my only experience of LBs is fake anal sex (I'm the 'bottom'), which does wonders for my back...
  7. So your legal wife is living with a Thai man and presumably f***ing him. Under Thai law, you can sue him for financial damages for having sex with your legal wife. Mention the relevant law to your lovely wife and her Thai man, and that should persuade her to be at the Amphur office double quick for the divorce (it did for mine!)
  8. In the end, I took the risk of postage delays and ordered 18 different flashcard sets from a Thai supplier on Lazada. Birds, jobs, body parts etc etc. Total cost just 500 baht or so for these 18 sets. What's more, the delivery was only 1 day! Anyway, I'm just about ready to return to my previous teaching haunt >> Myanmar. Yes, I'm aware of the civil war/unrest, and the disruption that it has caused/is causing to students' education. That was the major reason why I wanted to return).
  9. Thanks, I'll try harbour mall. Lazada is no good - I'm flying in a few days!
  10. There is a large bookshop at the Emporium Mall in Bangkok, where I previously purchased flashcards to help kids learn English. You know, animal names, fruit, jobs etc. I donated all my flashcards to a school in Laos last year and now need to buy new cards. But I'm not in Bangkok... Does anyone know of a shop in Pattaya that sells a range of flashcards? Thanks.
  11. I had a background check done yonks ago in Bangkok. Now I need to update it, but I'm in Pattaya and want to avoid going to the police clearance office in Bangkok, if at all possible, (no, not in case they recognise me!!, just don't want to take time out of my schedule to drive to Bangers etc) Is there a company in Pattaya who offers this kind of service, whereby I can get my prints taken at Soi 9 police station and then those and the required documents are sent to Bangkok for processing. Thanks!
  12. I tried to post a poll in the pub forum. I entered the poll title, question and choice of replies. When I click on submit, I get an error message that I haven't entered a title..... My title is about 30 characters long. Any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks.
  13. I need to buy some 1 metre lengths of 2x4 inch wood (to mount my radio antennas on my new condo patio). Can anyone suggest such a shop, perhaps on/near Sukhumvit Road? I'm located a few hundred metres from Tuk-Com. Thanks.
  14. Concerned about the PM2.5 air quality, and the lack of online data for my location (the websites simply interpolate data from 2 distant monitors in other cities), I bought a monitor off Aliexpress. Well, the unit switches on, displays a PM2.5 value, and that value increases as the smoke density rises. But the values seem completely at odds with the online interpolated data. In my garden, the normal reading is about 20, which I refuse to believe as correct, (Phuket has very clean air and typically has a value of about 50 - I live in the hills with local scrub burning at times). Online data suggests about 70. If I walk past a dusty building site, the value rises to about 55. The monitor is made by a Chinese company called 'Total B0ll0x Factory #5'. Can anyone recommend an accurate air quality monitor that I can buy from Aliexpress (not Lazada - I live in Laos)?
