Where are the "eVisa" processed?
Confuscious replied to Confuscious's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Did you try to hit the "Enter" button ans send your application? I guess not. When a wise man see a sign "DON'T ENTER" he follows the warning. Only a fool will "Enter" and look if there is something that contradicts the warning sign. I followed the "DON'T ENTER" sign and choose to inform wehter this sign was there on error or was it TRUE? And I got a response from the Thai Embassy in Spain. I publish here the Original and the translation. Now you have 2 choices: 1. Admit that you are wrong and swalllow your answer with pride. 2. Delete the whole thing and act as you didn't published anything. What will it be? Re: VISA OA, Retired Embajada Real de Tailandia - Sección Consular 10:03 AM (2 hours ago) If you want to apply for a retired visa, called non-OA, you must present the insurance. All planned, or just the way it turned out ?
Confuscious replied to The Cobra's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I came to Thailand to do a job for the company I was working for. It was planned to take about 1 1/2 to 2 years. Never planned to stay in Thailand, but always had planned to retire in Spain. In the time I was working in Thai, I meet a girl/woman. I made clear to her that I would leave Thailand as soon as the job is done. Although she promised always that she was "cut" (sterilized), she became praignant and I decided to marry her and stay in Thailand for the sake of the child. A decision I still regret. -
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Seems to me that Trump is putting more oil on the fire, and not only with the Ukraine. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tylerroush/2025/03/06/trump-planning-on-canceling-legal-status-for-240000-ukrainians-who-fled-war-with-russia-report-says/?ctpv=xlrecirc&fbclid=IwY2xjawI3ZTBleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHSuNtK9OquaBAJKYYv6gMlEQkNg8twtiZ7pfzREhlqmSXg48WR9noYrrpw_aem_qTxDHc5oR_w-4ccXEc9HHQ Trump Planning On Canceling Legal Status For 240,000 Ukrainians Who Fled War With Russia, Report Says Trump signed an executive order on Jan. 20 requesting the Department of Homeland Security to “terminate all categorical parole programs.” The Trump administration is expected to revoke temporary legal status for migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela who flew to the U.S. with American sponsors, CBS News reported, citing internal government documents. The move would affect over 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans. Some 77,000 Afghans who escaped the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan are also covered under the parole programs.

Where are the "eVisa" processed?
Confuscious replied to Confuscious's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Opinions can differ ... You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to my opinion. I click on the site of the embassy of Thailand in Spain and it says VERY CLEAR that a retirement visa is an "OA" visa and requires a health insurance. So, for me, that's the end of this discussion. -
Where are the "eVisa" processed?
Confuscious replied to Confuscious's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I clicked on the link of the Thai Embassy in Spain and got this information. I am not going to click on every possible link to find 99+ versions of their information about the Visa's to Thailand and which one will be considered valid for that day. They are a THAI CONSULATE and they should clean up their website to give 1 CORRECT INFORMATION!!!!!! -
What excites you the most about Thailand?
Confuscious replied to 123Stodg's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Going to immigration to make your Visa extension and find out that there are new people in charge who have invented new requirements that are nowhere to find in the Immigration publications. Going to immigration and being required to walk several times to the copy center in front of the Immigration office, which are later deemed as not required and "classified vertically". Meeting your dreamgirl/dreamwoman and find out that she has a very extended family who are ready to live, piggy-back, on your pension. Meeting your dreamgirl/dreamwoman in a bar somewhere, telling you that she is working there only 2 weeks before she meet you and you are the man (love you longtime mister long hair, short hair, no hair, etc.) of her dreams and she is ready to marry you if you can pay the dowry. Spend a fortune on a house and furniture, and find out that your dreamgirl/dreamwoman prefer to eat on a rotan carpet on the floor. Etc. -

At least we can dream about a future THAILAND where we could find all immigration requirements on 1 website only and without interpretations of the officers, depending which leg got first out of bed .... -
Where are the "eVisa" processed?
Confuscious replied to Confuscious's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Maybe a question on which AN can not give an answer but AN could forward this question to the competent authorities" Why is it not possible to publish CLEAR AND UNANIMOUS on IMMIGRATION requirements instead the information now where each country has his own viewpoint on the requirements? Make ALL THE INFORMATION ABOUT VISA's ONLY PUBLISHED ON 1 WEBSITE!!!! Would this possible? -
Can we change the email address and password, but keep the User Name? As we can Log-In with the UserName, it should be easy to let us change the email address linked with that UserName. And, as I am asking, will it be possible to use the "Authenticator" program to verify that it is me? I use the "Authenticator" for many accounts, including FaceBook and Instagram and orefer it above the SMS notification.

Where are the "eVisa" processed?

So, the best solution would be to apply for a tourist visa in Spain, anywhere near Thailand, and apply for an eVisa from there. -

Can it be processed in an other country using a VPN? -
In an other thread, I published aleady that not every country shares the same ideas about Visa's for Thailand. I live currently in Spain and, according the Thai consulate in Spain, a visa on retirement purposes is an "O-A" Visa. With the health insurance requirements. If I would apply for an "eVisa", is this processed by the country where you are residing at the moment or centrally in Thailand?

Uncertainty Over U.S. Troops in Europe Sparks Anxiety Among Allies
Confuscious replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The USA stole all the scholars from Europe during WW2 Werner von Braun, etc. Without them you would still be fighting the native Indians with your guns. Even Elon Musk with his Starlink is not an USA citizen but from South-Africa. Pathetic Amerucan way of thinking. -

does thai familes use nursing home?
Confuscious replied to villageidiotY2K's topic in General Topics
Korat has several nursing homes. Not only directed to the "elderly", but also for disabled persons or revalidating persons. The are quite good compared to the Western nursery homes and much more affordable. Most of the people who are located there are Thais, but there are also foreigners. One particular foreigner I knew, who was married to a Thai, went to such a home to live his final days after being diagnosed with Cancer. Most of the homes are located nearby a hospital and offer medical care too. The home where the foreigner used to spend his final days was like a small apartment and the rental price was 18,000 Baht.
