  1. I bet many members here wished to have taken a complete different decision some time in their life. Decisions are not always turning in to what we expected. For this lunatic, the decision will lock him up for a long time (maybe) and ensure that he will not harm anybody.
  2. At the age of 14, I started to work. In order to get to my workplace and back home, I had to get a bike/motorbike. No public transport to the workplace. A bike would not be adequate considering the distance. So, I started to drive a "Lawn mower" (a 49cc Mobylette with the motor mounted on the frontwheel). At that time, crash helmets ware not exsiting. Even speed crossers were wearing a rubber helmet with goggles. So, start cleaning first your own front door. I posted several times a picture of a couple on a Vespa, with the lady sitting in Amazone posee and holding a baby. None of them are wearing a helmet. And it was not in Thailand.
  3. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DiAMVNQHC/ From the replies: To save you reading: The article says: “So to clear things up, if your PC is compatible with Windows 11, you can still upgrade for free. For those who don't own compatible PCs, you still have the same options as beforehand. You can either stick with Windows 10, buy a new device or pay $30 for extended support until 2026” Kinda makes me mad. There is nothing wrong with my laptop, it runs just great but it says it's not compatible with windows 11. So now I will have to buy a new laptop for no reason other than they don't want to keep making the updates. Just another way to make people spend money that they really don't have.
  4. I live in Spain since a few months and there are no crossings in Spain. Only "Roundabouts" with almost 0 accidents. If you stand near a Zebra crossing, cars and motorcyles will STOP for you. Learn the Spanish drivers the same attitude "I am FREE and I don't give a hoot about traffic rules" and you will get the same mayhem as in Thailand within a week. The difference is that before you are allowed to drive on any road in Spain, you need to get a proper driving education and a proper mindset. Not a Thai mindset. Also, if you get involved in an accident with a pedestrian you will lose your driving license for a few months, you will fined very high fine and your car might be impounded. If the pedestrian is hurt very bad or the pedestrian die, you will be in for a few years in jail and lose your driving license for 5 or 10 years. No "OR" like in Thailand. If Thailand want to make their road safer, they will need to start with creating a separate police department that will have a car/motorbike and patrol the roads 24/24. That department would fund itself with the fines in no time. No "10 puh-ups" because you are only 12 years old. Schools need to start at a young age to teach the traffic rules and make sure that the students adhere to this. Judges need to start giving hefty fines and proper jail terms for people that don't want to adapt to the traffic rules. The whole traffic fines need to be adapted to the current age and multiplied by 100. But, that will never happen in "The Land Of The FREE".
  5. No way Jose. If you are in Thailand, you live in 2568. The 25th century. If you live in a Muslim country, you live in the year 1447. The middle ages. If you have Alzheimer, you don't know in what year you live.
  6. No military? It started already an in a near future no humans will have to go to war. Drones, Robots, etc. will fight a war, far better and more destructive, than humans do. No bombs? Laser and Chemicals are alrady been used in wars many times. Easier to kill the whole population of a village by using Chemicals instead of bombs. No bombs and no military, but more destruction. Enjoy life while you can and take care of the warlords (war pigs).
  7. There are "Camera Detector" applications for download that are working pretty well. Used this app a few month's ago in a rented apartment.
  8. The Coalminers were protecting their workplace. Protecting their job. https://www.npdoc.be/Grauwels-Cieters/ (In Dutch)
  9. https://www.sordum.org/downloads/?st-windows-update-blocker#google_vignette Download "WUB.EXE" (Windows Update Blocker) at your own risk.
  10. I appreciate your try to be helpful, but that was not asked for in my OP. I only asked an "OPINION about which to chose from, upgrading my Notebook to suit Microsoft or installing Linux". I didn't ask for the ways to "CHEAT MICROSOFT" warning of installing Win 11 23H2/24H2 on a not supported system.
  11. The "worst" time of my life was in 1985. The Belgian Government decided to close the Coalmines (I was working in a coalmine at that time) and the coalminers went into a strike. Beating up the "Rat's" who were trying to sneak past the strike posts to go to work. As the strike was not supported by the Union's, we did not received a penny from the Union. The coalmine was not paying a salary as well as we were on strike. As the strike went on and most of us had no money to keep supporting a family and pay the bill's, many coalminers wife's went into a divorce, creating additional suffering and misery. I was sentenced to pay about 250 USD alimony for my children whilst I had no income at all. The only food and clothes we had were donated by the local shops who supported the strike. Luckily, after the rain came the sunshine, and in 1986 the coalminers received a "big" sum of money, and the possibility to be relocated to other jobs. That was a year where I saw "Black Snow". Many coalminers commited suicide while in that situation.
  12. I posted a while ago, before leaving Thailand, what I did with the transfer of my funds. With pictures of the transer. I used Bank to Bank transfer and that was super cheap and fast. UOB bank was in Euro and Bangkok Bank account was in USD. Wise insisted on change the funds to Thai baht first and then from Thai baht back to Eur.
  13. For the people in this forum who were thinking that their government was not treating them well, here are the plans for the PENSION from the new Flemish Government. (Translated by Google from Dutch). 1️⃣ a "pension malus", this is a permanent expropriation of your accrued pension rights if you stop before the age of 66 – and soon 67 – without having worked enough years effectively; 2️⃣ a new interpretation of "the career years", which means that most people will lose a year or more; 3️⃣ a complete abolition of the scheme for heavy professions in the private sector (the SWT will disappear after 35 years of work in a heavy profession) and a major dismantling of the scheme for heavy professions in the public sector (police, fire brigade, postmen, teachers will have to work for at least 41 years before they can take early retirement – if they do so after those 41 years, they will also lose a portion of their pension). 4️⃣ "the malus": up to 25 percent of your pension lost through the expropriation of your accrued rights; 5️⃣ a structural reduction of the civil servant pension, via the calculation at 45 years instead of the last 10 years: civil servants lose approximately 20 percent of their pension; 6️⃣ all periods of technical unemployment and SWT to be calculated on the basis of a limited fictitious salary. The equalizations for "landing paths", which should make working longer more feasible, are also being limited or even abolished 🤦‍♂️. The survivor's pension, which offers a safety net to the surviving spouse over the age of 50, is disappearing. The same applies to the divorce pension and the family pension. "Everyone for themselves", is the logic. The Arizona coalition also seems to want to cut the minimum pension. This will now be calculated on the basis of "effective work performance". How exactly this will happen is not explained further.

  14. Read my original post again!!!!! I am running LINUX MINT!!!!
  15. I am consistently surprised that people keep giving "advises" which were not asked for and consistently want to get appraisal for their ranting and accusations. Like accusing me now for posting insults in YouTube and the UNFOUNDED accusations he posted before. What's next? Accusing me of planning the 7/11 attack on the twin towers? I have pity with that person. Must be spending his whole day looking at accusing people in posts in Aseannow while living in Thailand. What a pathetic person. He reminds me of an old German guy in out village who used to spend his whole day at his computer, reading how people get around the software keys and in the evening he came to the local pub telling his rants to everybody and expecting the consumers to buy hin a drink. Pathetic. Microsoft Windows keep evolving and is adapting their OS to the new versions of the PROCESSOR, the version 8, which has code for a lot of hardware that was not exsisting 2 years ago. "C" ports instead of USB ports, SSD instead of physical hard disks, Memory cards, etc. Using Windows 23H2/24H2 on an older system can lead to data loss or computer malfunctioning. I take their advice anytime above the "ILL ADVICES" in this group of how to cheat Microsoft.
  16. You could as well ask a fox not to eat the chickens. Will never work.
  17. WHO is asking for ADVICE? I told in my OP that I made already the decision to install LINUX on my notebook because of the continuous hassle with Microsoft and asked the OPINION of other users on this decision. I am fully aware of the existing "Cheats" on the Internet to install an upgrade on your system despite the warnings of Microsoft, but that was not what I had in mind. Of course, some readers here need to get a course on READING ENGLISH.
  18. It will not get any better when AI gets a full swing and 90% of the posts are AI generated videos/reels with false information.
  19. Just like "Teflon Tony", there are many people everywhere who stands above the law and enjoy some priorities that are not apply to others. That's how it works in almost every country.
  20. With a forward ticket to Dubai? Before he is arrested again and would face a jailterm?
  21. I was told by the ThaiVisa/AseanNow guru's and Mod's many times that there is no such thing as a "Retirement visa". Things has obviously been changed since then and now there exsists a "Retirment Visa".
  22. I have seen such price "errors" frequently on Shoppee, Lazada and many others. Ebay isnotoreus in that "scam". An item is being sold at a very low price, but the shipping costs are extremely high. At the end, these items tend to be more expensive as the regular ones.
  23. Introduce the Sharia Law. If you are caught stealing, your hand will be chopped off. Easy peasy
  24. By the way, Windows 12 will most likely will be running from the Microsoft servers, not from your system. Just like the big companies where you have one mainframe with the OS and the hardware and a lot of basic computers with a minimal hardware connected to the mainframe by LAN. Microsoft will charge users to keep running Windows 12 on a monthly fee.
  25. There will always be "smart" asses (Centigrade32) who will publish a "cheat" to let windows 12 run on an old XT computer. The point is that when Microsoft warns you not to do it and they start dumping their own old "Surface" tablets below the market price you know that something fishy is going on. I followed the advice of Microsoft and installed Linux Mint and I am very pleased with that decision. I made my notebook Dual-Boot so I can still run windows 10 22H2 when needed.
