There were no chilled or frozen products in my cart. Only bread and vitamilk in packs

While most of the outlet stores can blame Covid for their difficulties, big-c seems to be causing their own demise. Long before Covid they got rid of their fine meat (salami, etc) department. The same with many other departments. But cutting the amount of available cashiers was the final drop for me.

I was watching a YouTube clip in Facebook, shot at an ALDI store in the UK. Apparently the store was not accepting cash money anymore and this guy was paying cash money and walking out of the store claiming that they could call the police if they were not pleased. Is this True or staged? Is ALDI refusing cash payments?

Big-c outlet near Terminal 21 was going down the gutter since the beginning of this year. It started with reducing their products and leaving some parts of their store blank. Then the prices went up and the trip to big-c was not worth doing it. Since about 8 months, their discounted products were less available and not worth the price. Today, I was in Terminal 21 and needed some groceries. As usual, I went to Big-c. Everything was rearranged again and the fresh products department was as big as a 7/11 store. Not many people buying there anymore. When I went to the cashiers, I could not believe what I saw. The cashiers were reduced to 3 cashiers line and the customers were lining up to 8 people. I left my cart at the place and walked away from Big-c. That was the end of Big-C for me.

Alleged Bar Guards Dump Unconscious Woman on Walking Street
Confuscious replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
I know a lady in Korat who needs a "balloon" surgery in the Maharat, on a 30 baht sheme, and she is told that she have 2 choices: 1. There is a wait list for that surgery from 4 months. So, go home, and if you had no heart attack in that time, we can maybe do the surgery. 2. Pay for the surgery (not 30 baht) and we can do it this week. End of this silly discussion for me. -

Helping somebody in Thailand can bring you into hot waters. Not only the "help" but the REAL danger that the person who has been helped may turn into you and accuse you for causing the injuries. Would not be the 1st time and would not be the last time here. Even (REAL CASE), being "a friend of someone" can get you into deep waters when that person is in trouble and he list you as his friend. -

30 baht is only for the basic healthcare. If you need surgery or some serious healthcare you better have some $$$$ -
Alleged Bar Guards Dump Unconscious Woman on Walking Street

Not condoning what happened, but I can understand that the 2 man dumped her instead of calling an ambulance and have to foot the hospital bill for that woman. Happens everywhere in Thailand. -
With Thaiksin knowledge about his enemies in Thailand andd the "Mai Pen Rai" attitude of his return, I fear that Thailand will repeat the murdering at the airport like in the Philipinne.

Thai woman loses legs after lying on a train track in Pattaya
Confuscious replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
How can a train drive over a human leg. Trains should be equipped with safety devices (comb plates) all around to push everything on the tracks aside. Just like the travelators. Hope she will sue the thai railways. -
Wait for the follow-up where the doc owner sues the local residents for killing his dog.

Reminds me of my ex-wife. She was from Chaiyaphum and according to her, the best doctors in the world came from Chaiyaphum. One day, after trying to lose weight by all possible products (mostly medicines sold by monks to lose weight in a few days), she told me that was going to a hospital in her village. There was a doctor who had found a "Miracle" intervention to lose weight. On a Friday, she took the bus to Chaiyaphum, and she came back on Sunday evening. Instead of losing weight, she was now bloated like if she was in her 9th month pregnancy. I asked what she had done and she told me what the "Miracle" intervention was. The doctor had shoved a complete (peeled) oignon in her anus and she was told not to remove it but let it rot. It will come out together with all the food in your stomach and het exhaust pipe. In the mean time, she would not feel hungry as the food in her stomach would not find a way out and she would digest the food better. After a week, she was literally exploding and I called the Maharat hospital which removed the rotten onion and performed a cleaning of her intestines. Luckely, she had a 30 baht card and the costs were ok.

Thai man arrested for making a dick of himself in public places
Confuscious replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
I know a lot of members who are making a dick of themselves in a public forum. Yet, no police is involved (other than the Mod's). -
When I asked for a Credit Card at my Thai bank, 15 years ago, I got a Visa Card which was in fact a Debet card as I could not use it for transactions on the Internet or on-line. Notwithstanding I had more money in my bank account than most rural Thais. My Thai ex-wife had a deck of credit card like a deck of playing cards and they were all valid. She had 100 baht in her bank account. Go figure ....

Phuket couple held with thousands of meth pills and illegal firearm
Confuscious replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Yes, the meth sold by the RTP. -
Yes, the majority of the pack are indebted because they want to show-off a standing that is too high for them. Specially the young people are offered luxe items (Apple phones and other devices; Luxury cars; Credit Cards a go-go; Ways to spend more money than you can afford to buy (pay with IR-Code); etc.) without realising that they have to pay all this back soon. But I know a few girls and boys who where asked by their parents to take a loan for the medical care of themselves or an elder family member and they got stuck into these debts for the rest of their lives. Also, many people I know were tricked into buying goods during a party (with free food, free drinks, free dancing clads, etc.) and realised what they had done the day after.
