  1. AFTER removing his inners alive and selling them to the highest bidder .... Chinese death penalty ....
  2. I use to do the same. Every time I get a message that somebody who is not in my friends list "Like'd" a message, I simply block them to be sure that they have no further access to my posts. Let FaceSh.t handle the rest for themselves.
  3. A lot of Big-C outlets are closing the last few months. In Korat, several of them are also closing down or running on their last legs. Wait and see ...
  4. Lucky you. Here in Korat I am waiting for the 1st big rain.
  5. Was the big too too not going to wipe out this maffia business out of the land of happiness? He started 10 years ago, but for some reason he went thrue with it .....
  6. Not about this incident, but why are EV's allowed to park in covered Shopping Malls and even be plugged into a battery charger. Vehicles with an LPG/NGV installation are prohibited to enter a covered parking area but EV's which tends to burst on flames at the slightest malfunction can hang with a dozen at a charging spot in a covered mall. Why?
  7. Sooner or later you too will be scammed. Just wait for it.
  8. Not only that, but a while ago I read that this malware can be loaded when connecting to a charging station anywhere. Android is not a safe operating system and believers that claim otherwise should face the truth. I refuse to use my phone for any banking or financial transactions.
  9. Police will be no help against the Baht-taxi Maffia. The driver will say sorry, wai to the family of the girl and go on with his filthy business. The Government should do what they started a few years ago and wipe all the baht-taxis out of business. Where are aircon mini-busses Pattaya introduced a few years ago?
  10. I am living in Thailand with a retirement visa and I live alone About 2 months ago, immigration came to visit me. They called me about 4 hours prior to the visit to ask if it was ok. The visit was very friendly and the officer gave me a number which I could call if something urgent happened to me. I asked if I needed to pay anything and the answer was NO. All in all a very pleasant meeting. By the way, it was the 1st visit in 20 years.
  11. In 2018, my daughter was kidnapped while I was having a heavy surgery. When I am at home, I still hear my daughter talking to me or hear noises in her room. That's why I spend most of the day away from home. Somehow, when I go on a holiday somewhere, it's easier to forget about the past.
  12. Strange. At home, I can not fall asleep. Turning and turning until 3AM and then I fall asleep. But I wake up 2 or 3 hours later to go to the bathroom and when I return from the bathroom it's the same story again. But when I go to Pattaya, Jomtien, or some place for a short holiday, I fall asleep like a block when I go to bed. Even while the sound of the discobars is bouncing on the walls. Before 2018, I had no problem sleeping. But after 2018, the house seems to by haunted.
  13. Put steel mats, cement and gravel to use as a car park
  14. It's just a small yard. About 5 meters by 7 meters. The trees have already been removed by the tetsabaan. As proposed by a member, I have covered the front garden with a black plastic. Will see in a week if that's helps
  15. I want to cleanup my front yard, get rid of all the grass and other plants that are growing there. I would like to do this with spraying a weed killer. Does anybody knows of a good and efficient weed killer? TIA
  16. I am not religious and I don't believe in that Mumbo-Jumbo. But it as amazing that many people who faces their death suddenly become religious and start praying and visiting churches in the hope for a miracle. Most of the people who follow any religion (specially Catholic) are people in the 65+ braquet.

  18. In Belgium, the statutory retirement age is currently 65 (66 years from 2025 and 67 years from 2030). For some civil servants the age limit is higher (eg magistrates) or lower (eg military). Link is in Dutch/French or German. https://www.socialsecurity.be/citizen/nl/pensioenen/je-rustpensioen#:~:text=In België is de wettelijke,of lager (bijvoorbeeld militairen). The state pension age will gradually increase from 65 to 67 years in 2024. In 2019, the state pension age is 66 years and 4 months. The retirement age is 68 in 2019 .May 1, 2566 BE When Can I Retire? - Apuntateuna The EU has acknowledged this week a new law which would unify the standard retirements at a specific age and a specific pension, which would be 1,500 EUR for everybody who retires after the new law is passed.
  19. With the salary you've got in the years when you was young, you can not save enough money to live comfortable anywhere. Even nowadays it is quasy impossible for a normal worker to save enough to retire in Thailand. Specially when you go live in Thailand at retirement age and you have none or a basic medical insurance (which will kick you out at 70 anyway). And don't forget that the retirement age in most European countries is now already 68 years and will be 70 years in 2025. For me, I made the plan to move back to Europe soon. This will allow me to have a FULL health insurance and other benefits (no need to beg for a Visa extension to a monkey). Once registrered in Europe, I can travel anytime to any country I want (maximum 3 months) and have the guarantee that in case something happens to me I will be taken care off by the insurance (Repatriation).
  20. Korat has an elder home with Palliative care at a very affordable price. http://camilliancarekorat.org/th/?fbclid=IwAR1U2XSxC694N29-xHcdQNocARcA0JtPLU2SOHzkYlH8K3iDQzbW1WOtQn8
  21. So, if you would be in his situation (3th stage Cancer and Metastases everywhere), what would be your option? Cling to life at high costs like my friend or face the truth and go home to die peacefull?
  22. A friend of mine, JDG, lived happily with his wife (who could be his youngest daughter) until he began to feel a permanent headache. At the time, he was already over the 70'ties. He went to several hospitals in Korat, but everywhere he got the same answer: "Nothing serious. Nothing you need to worry about. Here, take a Paracetamol every 4 hours and you will forget your headache." Luckely for him, he still had his house in Begium and he went to a Belgian hospital. The answer: "Stage 1 Cancer in the brain." As the cancer was in stage 1, he started with Chemo and Radiation. That was 5 years ago. He still returns every year during Christmas and New Year because of his wife and her family, but if it was to him he would give this place the middle finger.
  23. In dreams ....
  24. My ex-wife, 65 years old was hospitalized last year with urgency for the 99th time. Could not breath. Happened every time the weather was sunny and the temperature raised above the 25 degrees. Her lungs were gone to the dogs by her heavy smoking habit. When she was transported to the hospital she was still conscious and she signed a paper that if her situation would get worse she would refuse to be kept alive with machines ($$$$$$). She died peaceful after 2 weeks in the hospital without machines.
  25. That's exactly what is happening to my friend now. He has no insurance and must pay everything out his own pocket. He is spending now lots of money on hospital bills, whilst knowing that he will not be cured. Only delay his faith. Is this worth the suffering?
