The reason you don't understand why is because you both refuse to do your own research into what it takes to make a truly protective garment (which would explain why something good isn't cheap), and you refuse to listen to anything people with years of personal experience wearing the gear that's available have to say. You don't want to hear about abrasion resistance, CE-ratings, air-flow, the advantages of combining light and dark colors, etc- all you want to is complain and ask the same questions over-and-over.
As far as your 'skeleton suit' goes, I've twice pointed you in the direction where you could find one online, including the example of the jacket I own, and doing it again seems a proper waste of time. It takes more than 'plastic bits' to make armor that will properly disperse the force of an impact- hitting the ground at 30mph let alone 50mph can permanently incapacitate or kill you, and spending what it take to be properly protected is very much worth it.
It's unfortunately impossible to tell you anything because you steadfastly will not listen to it unless it jibes with your incorrect assumptions.

If I'm pushing the bike hard I wear a one-piece leather suit- I generally wear my leather jacket weather-permitting- there are days when I'll wear my textile jackets instead, but I agree that in a hard crash leather would probably hold up better- still, the quality of the textile has really improved in recent years, but the best stuff can actually be more expensive than leather (i.e. Rukka gear) because it offers similar protective benefits while offering way better airflow.
I don't know if I could bring myself to pay $900 for a textile jacket, though...

Sorry but perforated leather all the way. Mesh/textile jacket is ok riding to the local mom & pop store but longer trips require serious gear. ATGATT!
It depends on the situation- I have high-end leather and mesh jackets and pants, and I make my choices accordingly. By your logic, though, I would assume you wear perf leather pants everywhere as well, as your lower body is also very likely to sustain crash injuries- I wear my textile pants more often than my leathers.
The Rukka gear is extremely good quality and it has lightweight CE level-2 protection- it would probably hold up better than many perf leather jackets.

No, but I've been intrigued by the Rukka stuff for a while- mostly the fact it's so incredibly expensive for textile ( and gets great reviews) leads me to think it's something special.
Revzilla is dumping some of it relatively cheaply- I think it's just too pricey for the US market- I'm tempted.

It's true the MSX-125 seat is an a$$-breaker- I've been meaning to order a better one. I have zero problems with the clutch or transmission, and at 6'2", I fit on it without a problem.

Could you explain further? I've never heard the term "greyed-out" in reference to a usename!^
The OP is either suspended or banned based on his username being 'greyed-out'.
Click on my username and it will take you to my profile- click on a 'greyed-out' (my term- maybe there's a better way of putting it;)) name and nothing happens- it means the account is suspended for some reason.

Buy it there as it will be way cheaper (there are currently some great deals on the RF-1100, which will be phased out for the RF-1200)- a helmet will fit in a large suitcase without a problem- just roll it in some bubble wrap to protect it from clumsy baggage handlers.

I got one in November- I think it was 74K- fun little bike, but it encourages hooliganism.

Sounds like they have high hopes for the upcoming cheaper, lower-displacement models.
Why don't people buy real bikes like R1'S, ZX range 6 to 14, ? They made a "fat boy" didn't they? Named undoubtedly after most of their riders !!!
People like what they like- I don't understand the choices some people make, but many don't understand the motorcycle choices I've made, especially in LOS. The fact is that an HD can be used more to it's full potential than my ZX-14R in Thailand, but that means nothing to me- I bought what made me happy.
The only time I get involved in the HD vs sportbike debate is when obvious misinformation regarding performance is posted (my pet pedantic peeve:))- otherwise I look at it as everybody on two wheels vs everybody on four wheels- we're all on the same team in the end.

Looks good- at least the blacked-out cans look better than the ones on previous models.
You're most likely going to have to bite the bullet and deal with importing an exhaust if you want a full system- slip-ons are available- I know that Real Motosports had either the Yosh or Akra on their FB page recently.

Leather@3K you're probably not going to find- Panda Rider, The Paddock, and a couple other places might have an acceptable textile jacket for that.

I actually agree with ll2 that a trade-in is often the best way to go (if you're planning on getting a different bike) if the bike you're selling is fairly expensive (500K+)- you'll get a bit less, but the stress factor is so much lower. If we're talking about a scooter, I would allow a test-ride without much more than ID- I'm thinking of this on a personal level and I'm just leery of strangers riding my big/heavy/powerful bike without knowing if they can handle it (or knowing if they're just test-pilots who want to try it out for free).

What will you do if the bike is dropped in this closed area and the guy refuses to pay for it? Call the cops? They'll say to contact your insurance company. Beat him up? That might give you a measure of satisfaction, but it won't help you at all. Sue him in court? He could say the brakes failed or some other excuse, and then it's your word against his, but you're the one with the damaged bike, and even if you win it's a gigantic hassle.
This isn't a likely scenario, but it's not inconceivable either (you could easily be dealing with some jerk who won't pay for his error)- I always think of the worst-case scenario, and then proceed in a way that will avoid it. I've seen too much shady crap and too many untrustworthy people in LOS (and elsewhere) to leave myself exposed to that kind of problem.

It's not necessary to bring the money. You could come and look at it- you could hear it run, and follow me on your own bike if you have one. If you decide to buy it, you'll have a short but reasonable time to ask for a refund (and if you can't trust me to refund you, how can you expect me trust you to take my bike for a test-ride?) You wouldn't have to show up with 1.5mil in cash in your pocket to check the bike out.
Selling to a friend or someone I have some prior relationship with (even some people from this board that I haven't met in person) would be a different story- I've let friends try out my bikes (as long as I know they can handle them) without selling being an issue- this thread is about dealing with a complete stranger (at least that's what my posts have been about).

You wouldn't get a test-ride if that were my bike- what you would get is a ten-minute return policy after making payment- if you're not happy, I'll refund your money if you bring it back in the same condition that you took it- if you can't live with those terms, I guess I'd have to find another buyer.
Why should I, as the seller, assume the greater financial risk by giving you my 1.5mil asset with anything less than full payment? Your passport, license, or whatever guarantee you're willing to leave will mean little or nothing without serious expense and time in my end to take you to court if you decide to do a runner or argue that you don't have the cash to pay.

Isn't the benchmark of being an authorized dealer the ability to sell products with a factory warranty?

If you're a thief, you're probably also a liar- if you leave me only documentation or less than the sale price of the bike, you can say or do anything after a test ride- the police won't be too eager to get involved or sort things out in LOS, and at the least you can cause me a lot of grief trying to collect or set things right.
If you take my XXX,XXX baht bike for a spin, I think it's fair that you leave me the cash value of it if you're a serious buyer. Especially if it's a powerful, heavy, large-displacement bike, I have no way of judging someone's skill level or the likelihood they might drop it if they tell me a good story about their prior experience.
I've been doing business for a long time in Thailand- if you give someone the opportunity to screw you over, they often will due to the frequent lack of consequences, especially when it's an altercation between foreigners- it might turn some prospective buyers off, but it prefer to be cautious with strangers here, especially when it comes to money.

I wish some of these 'riding experts' (most of whom I've never seen post in this section before) would lend their knowledge and experience to threads other than those where members are willing to share their mistakes with the group (where they pour out their scorn and derision rather than trying to be actually helpful)- maybe you could share the benefit of your advice before someone goes down, and improve the general skill level around here.
I'm guessing most of you are 'scooter-riding girl scouts', but maybe not- perhaps some of you are actual motorcyclists (though that would probably shine through in your comments, and for the most part it doesn't...)

If I were on that road during the same time and under the same traffic conditions, I'd probably be pushing it a bit. I don't think I'm the only one... There's no way (as a fellow rider) I can condemn this guy for giving it some throttle on an empty street- it's a shame he ate sh!t, but he certainly wasn't a risk to anyone else.

It looked like an early morning on a road devoid of traffic to me- not one other person or vehicle (except his buddy) is seen on the video- the only risk was to himself, IMHO, and if you're going to practice your riding skills on a public road, that's the time and place to do it.
I don't think ABS would have saved it, but traction control probably would have helped.

Good- if I decide to drop a set on my Kawi you can put in a good word for me.

I already recommended my white, red and black Dainese textile jacket with CE-rated pads that was on sale for 6900baht and he scoffed at it.
