  1. This kind of guns ?

To replace some of its current inventory of M16A1 rifles, The Royal Thai army purchased three batches of TAR-21 rifles for USD27.77 million (THB 946.99 million) and approved delivery of a fourth batch on 15 September 2009, bringing the total to more than 58,000 TAR-21 rifles. ( WiKi )

    Made in Israel

Very good weapon, the bull pup design a full length barrel going back into the stock easy to use little recoil and red dot among sight, most of the western forces have upgraded to this sort of weapon

    iwi-ta10.jpg

No handguns as in pistols semi automatic ones too no doubt

  2. The fact these cretins are also armed is scary. It is long overdue for the government to implement some serious gun control in this country.

What a great idea ban all guns, wait a minute these were home made guns, OK ban criminals from making home made guns that would work, wait if that works ban criminals from committing crimes we are on a roll now got the whole problem solved just by banning stuff.

To get a legal gun in Thailand is expensive twice the price of Australia and 3 to 4 times the price than America, that is why the crims make their own and no laws will stop them because believe or not they make their living from breaking the law.

  3. I dont know mate, i think we can all afford thai women , so long as they recall what they have to offer us in return for bleeding one to death $$ wise ???

take out the lies & the scamming families - then what have they really got to offer us ?? not much huh ))) we are in favour mode to them , soon as we alight the plane !

they all sob poverty but take a stroll through udon thani see how many cars you can count that are 8 years old ??? amazing __ if the poverty stories are all true well we should only see Rickshaws '' and buffalos along with starvation and beggars abound )) but i didnt see that )))

The woman i think they deserve about twice the average 9k baht they get a month in most jobs . I think if a woman wants more that that , ''then she had entered greed street ''-------------the big thing they forget - is without us, they have nothing ))))) ( and looking at the amount of westerners whom actually want to live thier ???? )) well )) from US few ___ they don't have much of a selection to choose from)))) ( beggar can't be the chooser ) not in my country they can't )))

Without us they sitting in a dirty village street in Issan chewing on 30 baht pok pok !

If somebody came along and saved my ass )))) id never stop saying thanks ! but Thais''' they appear to miss that part of life ?????''the gratitude section '' its missing out of thier dictionary !

SOMEBODY TORE OUT THE PAGES EH )))

When I first took the family to dinner, from the mother down to the youngest child nobody said a simple thank you, I mentioned this to my t/gf and told her it is polite normal society to thank the host for a meal, the next time I took them they all said thank you and the mother even thanked me for looking after her daughter so well. So a little education in common manners went a long way,

  4. hi My kids got my mothers money and will get their mothers money, they really don't need what I will leave, I made a will a few weeks ago at the local Ampour,(total cost 150 bht ) leaving all I own in Thailand ( condo ,pickup and money in bank) to my G/f

I am 66 and she is 43, we get on really well and after two western wives she is an eye opener on how to treat a man., I do not have one complaint about her she is frugal in her spending and keeps the condo spotless, she is all I wished for in the other two but sadley never got.

She gets go fantastic with my two grown up kids and they both agree she deserves the inheritance just for putting up with me, and for turning my life from one of trouble and trife to happy days again

  5. Nice work! Never thought I would say that.

Good to see that the cop aimed at the legs. Same story in the US would have resulted in the robber riddles with at hundreds of bullets.

Maybe they should have shot the gun out of his hand like in the Roy Rogers movies. no police are trained to shoot to wound

All police are trained to shoot centre mass of the body that is the middle of the chest, ideally with hollow points so the the bullet stays in the body does not exit and hit bystanders.

They are taught a man with a knife can stab you from 7 metres away in a one second that is how much time they have to aim and fire before being killed or injured themselves

The old sayings are do the crime do the time, or live by the sword and die by the sword

  6. I bought my son his first electric drum set when he was 14, fairly cheap to start with he is now 21 and is into his 4th percussion set and has a heavy metal band, not my taste in music but he loves all music, it was something I always wanted to do but born in the East End of London in the late 40s it was not an option we were too poor.

  7. Thanks for the replies.

I have heard on numerous occasions that Thais/chinese buy condos and just let them sit there without paying fees. This may be exaggerated I have no idea. But if it is as serious as selling your condo off, even without the chanote i take it, I will get more serious about it, maybe. ha. I was just planning on paying the 10% and 20% when back. The way I see it, and I could be wrong about this, but they want the money, but they dont have a lot of ways of paying the money from overseas.

I will figure it all out and report back.

If the court orders the condo to be sold to recover money owed they do not need permission from the owner or the chanotes to do it, but the balance if any after expenses is kept in trust for the owner to claim

  8. If the maintenance fees are not paid you could be charged 10% interest the first year and 20% for the years after and the management could apply to the court to sell your condo to recoup the the fees owing, and be aware there is always a relative or friend of the manager that would like to buy a condo at a fire sale price.

We are looking at doing the same in our block of condos with absent owners not seen for years.

It is not fair on the ones that pay their dues to subsidise the defaulters

  10. I had a problem a couple of years ago at Heathrow, I am English born in London traveling on a Australian passport, I was asked at immigration where I would be staying, I said with my brother in law,i said the address is in my case that is on the carrousel, so this extremely dark officer with quite bad English was trying to tell me I could not enter without her knowing where i was staying I stated that my relatives were meeting me outside so I did not need the address. I was getting quite stressed by this time and said what if I had no plans to stay anywhere but just to hire a car and drive around England, this kind of baffled her, my wife had already gone through her immigration and came back to calm me down, I could not believe I was going to be denied entry to the country of my birth by a obvious immigrant.

Yes before you lot berate me I am as racist as the average person but normally only against pumped up <deleted> in uniform

And yes I do live in a racist country Thailand

If you are English born in London then are you not British? if so you have every right to enter the UK and should have used your British Passport, if you do not have a British Passport you should have shown proof you are a British citizen with right of abode in the UK, they can not refuse you entry.

But even if you were of English decent but were registered as another nationality and not registered British then you are just another foreigner.

On my Australian passport it states I was born in England

  12. Um....How is the fork and spoon in Thailand any different to the knife and fork in Western countries. It's normal to be holding two utensils while eating a typical meal.

Although I do note that many Americans seem to like to cut up their food into small pieces and then discard their knife. Maybe that's where your comparison is coming from.

Americans use a fork and knife only when cutting. For example, when eating a steak. If we are eating pasta we're not scooping it into a spoon using a fork and then eating it from a fork.

Nor do we use a fork and chop sticks to gather noodles or rice. The special lady friend was using a fork and spoon last night to eat rice, which I found particularly interesting.

Whereas in most other English and Western cultures, we hold a knife and fork all the time while eating a typical meal and cutting the portion you are about to eat. Have you not seen this happen in your travels?

Thais eat with a spoon and fork and usually only use chop sticks for the noodles, A Thai once told me " anyone who brings a knife to the dinner table is a savage

The Thais think it's funny when they see a westerner eating Thai food with only a fork - especially rice.

It's just cultural differences. Aussies, Brits, and Kiwis would never think of cutting up a steak into small pieces before eating it as the Americans do.

  13. It is best to come and check before signing leases I lived in Park Lane for 12 months agreed it is a nice condo but the problem is the huge workman camp near by that is very very noisy they also park their trucks for the weekend opposite the front block and the noise early Monday morning is not very pleasant apart from the dust generated. So it is best to sight the place before committing to a lease any where in Jontiem, there is so much building going on there. On the other hand if you speak Russian it is the perfect place to stay

  14. The girls were with you because you spent money, and they got a cut of everything you spent.

Girl takes you to a club, she gets a cut.

Girl get in a taxi with you, she gets a cut.

Girl negotiates in Thai to but something, she tells them to up the price, she gets a cut.

Girl takes you to a hotel/resort, she gets a cut.

Uhm no, most of them I met in the mall, had a coffee, took to my hotel room, and finished it.

Some even paid for their own dinner.

These were normal girls I met from tinder.

  15. One has to see it from a Thai perspective:

Thailand is a premier league player in fields like science, the arts, sports, innovation, productivity, etc. Blessed with a stable political environment, a legal-system above and beyond any doubt and an educational-system that is the envy of the world. All this is well supported by the achievements of the 649 Thai Nobel Price winners.

The cure for the worlds ailments is therefore "Thainess".

Considering all this, Thailand can comfortably await the day when Thai will replace English as the worlds universal second language.

    Cheers.

  16. Thought this might of interest to some people, Renewed my driving licence (car) today at the RAYONG office, arrived 8.30am out by 12. 15 pm, I had to have proof of residency ( yellow book ok ) passport with in date visa, medical letter from Doctor and old licence and copies of everything, stood in line to do colour blind test and then told to come back in 1 hour, Came back and paid fees had photo taken and issued with new five year licence, did not have to do the reaction tests, driving computer exam or sit through the lecture. All up cost 655 Baht I was the only falang in the whole place maybe this made a difference
