The house next door to me was a rental and their dog was chained up and barked all day and into the night, so I rang the landlord and asked him if he gave permission for pets in his house he said he did, so I explained my problem and he was not very accommodating so I said I would ring him at all hours of the day and night when the dog starting barking, the next day the dog was gone, just goes to show the power of revenge

A woman took her aged mum to a old folks home, really nice place, and said to mum you sit her by the widow while I go and do the paperwork, one of the nurses seeing the old lady about to fall of the chair sideways rushes to straighten her up, this happens about 3 times ,when the daughter comes back and asks if mum likes the place, she replies it is indeed a lovely place but they just will not let you fart.

I have two boxes with true one in the lounge and one in the bedroom, I had a problem with the tv cutting in and out on both tv's at the same time, so called in the techs they checked and replaced the lounge room box, I said it can't be the box because both tvs go out together it must be a dish problem they nodded and smiled and left, called them back the next day and was told it was the weather causing the problem I said it must be a dish problem again, they smiled again and off they went ( stupid falang what does he know)

I checked with other condo owners and they don;t have any problems, So call the techs again and told them if they do not fix this time take it out I don't want the service and would not be paying for this month.

This time the two tech arrived with a woman carrying yet another box, I tried to tell her it can't be the box as both tvs are affected at the same time it must be the dish, so she orders the men to check the dish they came back and said it was loose and moving about causing the programs to drop out, would you believe I had to send them back up there to tighten the fixing they did not do while they were checking.

I suggest that you increase your commission, as 10,000 baht is only 0.66% of 1.5 million.

 

Most agents would expect 5% for a condo.

Sounds like you are talking about Viengping. My experience was that the co-owners had no say in the running of the place and the management did exactly what it liked, including at one point levying a charge on anyone using the lifts to take construction materials up to a renovation. Attempts to get the place running properly came to nothing (don't think we didn't try) and in the end, anyone who wanted a life gave it up as a bad job and quit. You may like to check the records (should you be able to get hold of any) but when I sold my condo there was still a legal action brought by the Land Office against the Juristic Person for multiple infringements of the Condo Act languishing in a drawer somewhere in a local police station. Finding out why might be instructive....

As for the pool, they introduced a charge a few years ago with no consultation but then failed to keep the pool in good order so no one wanted to use it anyway. If you simply want to swim rather than fight for your rights then go to the excellent pool next door at Greenhill Place.

Also check you HAVE a spare tyre mine was stolen not long after I bought the pickup, on checking around it is quite a common theft from pickups normally done in shopping centre car parks, they back up to your vehicle and drop the tailgates and work undetected undercover, I now have a heavy duty chain and extra strong lock on my spare after spending 4000+ Bt replacing it, some people replace with an old rim and "get you home " tyre to deter the thieves.

What about all the bars on the beach side of walking street were they legally built or will the army do the same as in Phuket and order them torn down, it would certainly change the appeal of the street

I had some mystery insect bite which I didn't really notice until it eventually led to infection and a swelling the size of a ten baht coin. The hospital ended up cutting out a spoonfull of infected flesh and I had to return each day to change the dressing. There were no stitches required. It healed up nicely with a tiny scar.

Then recently I got another bite which I saw leading to the previous condition and started to self medicate with antibiotics. When it didn't get better I swallowed my pride and went back to the hospital where they gave me the right meds. Luckily it healed nicely and the swelling went away.

Lessons learned. With these pain in the ass mystery insect bites, go straight to the doctor.

I had the same thing in Nakhon Sawon on my calf the Doc cut into it to release the pus and packed it with antibiotic gauze had to go back every day for a week for them to scrape out the wound it was bloody painful but it worked and healed nicely, if it happens again I will not leave it so long to get treated
