Airports around the world are bowing down to the United States TSA.
Soon, they will be checking your ass because you might have a bomb shoved up your ass.
Well I feel safer if they are checking, did they not find a bomb in a guys shoe and another in guy had one in his underpants, so yes it would not be hard to hide a bomb up your arse
I see people huffing and puffing because they are asked to take off their belts and shoes, me, I thank the officers for being diligent.
Always better safe than saying your praters as the plane is plummeting to the ground

A friend of mine just left via Swampy to the States and said he has never seen the airport so quite he sent a photo it looked deserted, he put down the lack of tourists to the coup maybe

I too am pretty much a non-believer but some things defy an explanation. I fell over some newly installed curb stops while exiting a bar/restaurant in Pattaya. Landed on my hands but pitched forward and scraped my forehead. My wife's uncle was the Abbot of a Wat in Bangkok. I had met him a couple of times before he passed away and really liked him. My wife was in BKK when this happened and received a phone call from her father in Nakhon Si Thammarat who asked how I was after falling and hitting my head. No possible way he could have known about this. The father said his brother, the Abbot came to him in a dream and told him about the accident. He also told him that the Abbot was coming to live with us for a while to watch over us. Every day since we have put out a breakfast for the spirit of the Abbot. So far, so good
Interesting ,does he eat the breakfast?, my T/g/f puts food on the Bhudda table but alas he never visits to eat it, but as a kid I remember Santa always took a bite from the biscuit and a sip of milk I left out for him, I was a believer then

She said she forces you to partake in her religious activities!!!!!!! are you a man or a mouse? maybe you are the one possessed by your Thai lady she owns you.
I take my T/g/f but will not partake in something I don't believe in
I once went to a Catholic wedding and sat when everybody kneeled at prayer the priest asked me if I had knee trouble as he noticed me sitting, I just told him I kneel before no man or idol.

If thinking of house visit the area at night before committing to see if it is infested with dogs that bark all night at the slightest noise one dog sets of the others.
If a condo is your choice again check the place out for building work around the place and also for large workers camps in the vicinity they start to make a noise very early in the morning and at weekends
Try and stay clear of Soi Watboon and anywhere near Park lane resort

Another reason to transfer money online is you have to show the money has come into the country from Australia to be able to buy a property in Thailand

I brought a Bank cheque from Australia 2 years ago and tried to deposit it in the Bangkok bank first they looked at it upside down and tried to read it, then called the manager out to look at it, she said it was ok but would take 6 months to clear, when I informed my bank in Australia of the situation they said there is nothing they could do to help me, told me to cancel it and draw from the visa card, it cost me $2000 to draw $50,000 from the machines ,in hindsight it would have been better to fly back to Aussie and get cash.
The best thing to do is leave the money in the Aussie bank and transfer on line, I use Westpac to transfer my pension to my account in the Bank of Bankok they charge $20 for any amount not a percentage like some banks and I get the money in one day, beware of some banks as the money goes through too many other banks to get here and they all take their cut. Always transfer in Australian dollars to get the best rate.
I did a lot of research and the Westpac was the cheapest for me
You are allowed to leave Aussie with $50,000 cash as long as you declare it on departure, suggest using a money belt so much safer, use some to open account at bank and change the majority of it at a money exchange booth to get the best exchange rate.
I hope this has helped you not make the mistakes I made

My dad used to say: "English people tell me that Brits are God's gift to the world..invented everything
The French invented a machine for removing people's heads.
The Yanks created a bomb that can devastate huge areas of the earth in one blast, and then continue to kill for a long period of time with radioactivity from the blast, allowing the ability to kill nearly all life on the planet.
nyah-nyah!
Winston Churchill was quoted as saying " being born white and British is like winning lifes lottery"

Don't put too much in the will and never tell her as you might live shorter then you expect. Happened to a friend of mine... He can't tell us anymore. Took a life insurance on his life and the beneficiary was his wife. She didn't wait for a natural death to (try to) cash in…My T/g/f wanted us to buy a house too but I needed security into my old age, not risk being evicted at a later stage if things went wrong.
So I bought a beach side Condo in Bang chang in my name and will arrange to leave it to her in my will, I bought in my name only. I have been married twice to the" love of my life"so no longer believe in the myth of soul mates.
She now loves living here and we have made many friends in the complex both falang and Thai.
In short do not be conned into buying in her name only and join the long list of disappointed ex husbands thrown out of the house and with no recourse in law.
I like doing most of the cooking so should be safe, but I know where you are coming from, happened to a mate in Australia he was close to the end when he realised what she was doing but could never prove it

install a camera in the car to show the accident how it actually happened could save you a fortune in bribes and costs, I also turn mine to the side to record the cop who stops me for no reason, they are not happy being filmed extracting T/money.
The gps can also be downloaded to show your speed at any time of the the day and the location

How quaint. A foreigner in Thailand complaining about foreigners back home.
What's that, the 354,756 post like that this year? From a Brit too! Who would of thought???
I think the gist of his comment was the loss of jobs to the British to foreign workers, most of us retire here and create jobs and bring money into the country where as those foreign workers in Britain send the money out of the country

would have been a good idea to try the reverse scam when he asked you if the 20 bt was a large note, by asking him to give you $20 for it

I wish I had the ability like some of the people on TV, they see a person in the back of an ambulance and say he was drunk, 221b Baker St is where they should be living. He may not have been wearing his seat belt, but who does in Thailand. I had been driving for about 2 weeks while on a holiday and it felt uncomfortable not to wear one, it was just habit to put it on when I got into the car. Why is it not compulsory. The car should be left there for everyone else to see what high speed can do. Was he drunk, tired, swerved to miss something on the road (bike with no lights). He or the police are the only ones who know. Maybe if he reads TV he will let us know.
It is compulsory to wear seat belts in the front and many are fined for not doing so, after 45+ years of driving I would find it disconcerting and uncomfortable not to wear one

At his age (43) he should have known better than to race home in the middle of the night. One can assume he does now, having learned it the hard way. I hope he makes a full recovery nevertheless. Maybe better not to judge too quickly, he might even have been sober, but his wife called him to go home ASAP because of some kind of emergency.
Thrown from car found in road means idiot had no seat belt on too, potential Darwin award

I have had mine for 12 months and done 30,000kl it's a 4 door turbo diesel two wheel drive, I love it, get 1000ks from a tank and the performance and acceleration is terrific with the turbo.
I also find the Mitsubishi service in Pattaya second to none.
A word of warning to all pick up drivers the spare wheels tends to get stolen at car parks so invest in a very stout chain and lock

My T/g/f was a caddy for nine years in Nawkon Sawon she is now my golf partner, she is lovely and reads the course so well

1. Would she have found the gun before the burglar had legged it?
2. After pointing the gun at the burglar would she have pulled the trigger?
3. How would she feel after shooting a policeman who feel through the roof chasing a burglar?
http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-kellermann.htmKeeping a gun in the home carries a murder risk 2.7 times greater than not keeping one, according to a study by Arthur Kellermann. The National Rifle Association has fiercely attacked this study, but it remains valid despite its criticisms. The study found that people are 21 times more likely to be killed by someone they know than a stranger breaking into the house. Half of the murders were over arguments or romantic triangles. The study also found that the increased murder rate in gun-owning households was entirely due to an increase in gun homicides only, not any other murder method. It further found that gun-owning households saw an increased murder risk by family or intimate acquaintances, not by strangers or non-intimate acquaintances. The most straightforward explanation is that the presence of a gun increases the possibility that a normal family fight or drinking binge will become deadly. No other explanation fits the above facts. Most of the things in the kitchen drawer can be used to kill even golf clubs have been used, even an empty booze bottle has been used in the past, do not trust anti gun people to ever give the true facts.
If you carry on down the report to the criticisms you can see what a bullish-t study this is designed to only give one outcome

Who is this anonymous prick, looked at his other post about giving 20 bt to a beggar and getting pissed because the guy did not kiss his feet in gratitude, go back to your worm hole sunshine!

Australia has crocodile farms in the North mainly run by the indigenous people, the leather is used shoes bags and belts, croc in Australia are not an endangered species any more, I have also seen bags made from cane toad skin, beautiful soft brown leather but they did not sell well because of what they were made of

I have a great phone, no camera no internet I can make and receive call and I think I can text (not tried to do that yet), and it only needs charging once a week, all up cost less than 500 Bt
Ps have dropped it a few times and it is still going strong
Oh whoop-de-do. So why are you posting in the Apple forum trying to look cool by saying you're stuck in the 1990's. I assume you also use a type writer rather than a computer, as who'd need all those 'fancy' features such as email, right?
No I have used Apple desk top computers for around 10 years and have never had a virus attack in that time, also have an Apple Air lap top for traveling, great machines with terrific operating systems.
I love seeing the plonkers get out their huge telephones and try to work out how to use it, scrolling up and down like a demented banshie.
