Sign me too. I have been smoking for over thirty years. 20 more cigs a day, in fact smoking as I type. Visited my friend in hospital with heart problems yesterday thought I should stop. I saw this post, so I'm motivated TODAY

There’s another alternative, you pack up and move on, leave the girlfriend behind with her debt. She incurred it let her pay for it. Just my two pence worth.

Hi dragonman,i went to the DL ofice in Chonburi but went to the Immigration in Pattaya,so u mean u just took your renting contract to the Immigration?I have in all in thai language,signed by the owner,it says since when i stay there and how much rent i pay,but like i said Immigration in Pattaya said it is not enough

Strange I have renewed my Thai driving licence 6 times. with only my old D/L and my passport. I only needed proof of residence on the first occation when I applied for the licence. The last time they issued me with a five year licence.

BTW I have always done this in the Pattaya licence centre both old and new. Never had a problem. I have always found them to be the best officials money can buy..........

My wife just read the article and said it was all true. I wanted to get more information from her but she said she did not have time as she needed to scrub the floor, walls & ceilings. She needed to get that finished before she went out to plough our field. She thinks she will be finished by midnight then she can do the washing. With these tasks finished she will have time to make breakfast.

I just wondering if I remembered to give her a job for the morning?

You may remember a few months ago a British couple were murdered by a Thai Police officer after they had been drinking in his bar. Does anyone no the conclusion to this story, if any.

Yes,it was a one year multiple entry visa.I have never applied for one in England,only in Penang.My neighbour gets his one year multiples in Abu Dhabi.I e-mailed the Thai Embassy in London last year about getting one at my local consulate-a jewellers shop in Liverpool.The reply was no problem.However,as long as I can get the visa in Penang I don't need to return to England.

Thanks for your help. I'm due to renew my one year multiple in two months was not looking forward to a trip to the UK.

I will check back in just before I go to penang just to make sure they are still doing the visa.

You get so much different advice. I just wish they would stick to the same formular.

Yes.I was there last week.Take original wedding certificate and photocopy,copy of wifes I.D. card.I also took photocopies of tabien bahn and childrens birth certificates.Forgot to get them signed by wife,but no problem.Cost 500 ringgit.Only a couple of people waiting at the consulate when I arrived.Very quiet in Penang.

Went by Thai down there,next time will be with Air Asia.Thai arrive in Penang around 2230 and flight back to Bangkok leaves at 0830,means an extra night in Georgetown.With Air Asia I think you can pick up your passport and fly back to Bangkok the same night.

Did you get a one year multiple entry Non Im 'O' or just a single or double entry visa. I heard for the 1 year multiple visa you had to return to your country of origin..

Is Penang still issuing 1 year multiple entry Non 'O' Visa's for farangs that are married to Thai's? Or do I have to return to my home country England to get one?
