  1. My wife has a 1 mill company with me and a Thai person as shareholders. I obtained a WP on behalf of special skills.

So it should be possible and no personel needed. Some may say this isn't possible, but I just told it.

    Edit for typo

Thank you, the same situation and I sure this possible. Especially in my case, where is my profession and skills are no question for company business ( IT / engineering ).

  2. Hello, everyone

I'm in process of changing jobs now, and hope someone who have experience will share it, for which I will be very appreciated :)

    1. Foreigner on NON-O THAI WIFE visa + extensions of stay (more than 3 years), have yellow Thabien Baan / Taxpayer ID / Social Security / Fluent in Thai

    2. Wife is shareholder in her own company, 3 people in company (Thais) - this is wife company.

    3. Type of business is 99% relevant to my education / job.

    4. Location Bangkok and Pathumthani

Is it possible to obain WP via Labor Department? As I understand, there is 2 thais per married with Thai national farang, and 1 mil. THB registered capital. All of these wife company have already.

and, is this possible if wife company sign a contracts with clients to send me work at client's places? Or any other possibility to foreigner from one company do job for another company legally?

  4. A lot of recommendations given already. The other point is language skills. A lot of Indian people here can speak Thai, and for Indian study Thai is MUCH easier than for ANY other nationality in the world, because of Pali - Sanskrit roots in Thai.

So, if you serious in your wish to stay here, you will need to know local language. English is not a local language.

  5. IT Manager and System Administrator with 18+ years of combined management and full hands-on experience, available for part-time or full time job in Bangkok, or anywhere in the Thailand with possible business trips to ASEAN/Europe/USA

Resident in Bangkok, do not need NON-B visa or Work Permit for contract/project jobs, fully legit in local job market.

For full-time employment WP may be changed from current company to employer company.

Can speak English, Thai and Russian languages.

Please contact me via Private Messages here.

    Regards, Meow

  6. Please be aware, the Krungsri ATM cards is not accepted in Hong Kong or Mainland China for cash withdrawals in HSBC or Hang Seng ATM's. Transactions just cancelled without any clear explanation. The same ATM cards works w/o problems in Standard Chartered (both HK/Mainland) and China Construction Bank. I saw such behaviour at least 3 times in the last year.

Maybe this happens, because HSBC sold his Thailand business to Krungsri then for some reason decline all transactions from Krungsri ATM cards.

  7. >All in all I cannot recommend it enough as a cheap and different alternative to Thailand for a break.

I think every 95 from 100 foreigners crossed this bridge for one purpose - to reach as fast as possible Thai Consulate and apply for their new visas :)

Anyway, place is worth to visit once, but, apart from beer, I can say it's much more expensive than any Thai city.

  8. As Russian, this is very easy for me to explain such a behaviour of russians, chinese and other mass-tourists. This is a complex of alcohol, fear (yes, fear being in overseas foreign place), impoliteness and so on of people, mostly from "bannok' places and small cities, where alcohol is a only one way to "entertain'.

If you look closely to routes from DMK, this is mostly ones, which is go/come from small (by Chinese measures) cities. A lot of people is just first time come to another country. A lot of then will not go to any other vacation places for years ahead. And the same for any other mass-tourists...

They is the centres of their universe in heads. In Egypt they "locked" in all-inclusive hotels, but this is not possible in Thai reality.

So, I really dont know what to do with this, except of huge fines. Last year russian airlines finally start to put them to jail, ban and fine in tens of thousands dollars for flight delays/damages/fights onboard.

  9. Great idea. But not forget, in last 2 months russian currency drops dramatically and now 35 satang / rouble rate instead of almost 1 baht / 1 rouble in August.

Fortunately, I not have any roubles anymore. And another side effect, this season will be almost without russian tourists, because income in USD/ EURO is 30% from what they have before. Average Moscow office clerk with $3000 equivalent income now have only $1000.

  10. To obtain CC from Thai Banks, typically foreigner need to produce 6 months to one year old WP and payslips. There is no exception to obtain "true" CC, I mean use bank's money.

Another way is "secured" CC, when foreigner can obtain CC with deposit to locked account in Bank. The credit line available can be from 90% to 100% from deposit amount. Secured CC can be done on "lowest' type of NON-VISA such as NON-ED without any WP. This will be a normal CC, except bank protecting his money using non-working foreigner deposit.

And third way is AMEX card, which is AMEX promote along foreign Bangkok Bank customers. You don't need to have CC with Bangkok Bank, just normal savings account and be a registered Frequient Fly member of Thai Air. AMEX will give their card for working foreigner or for anyone who have 3 mil + baht in accounts in the thai banks.
