I can only reflect on the crazy driving by many delivery drivers in Pattaya. The absence of any mobile, traffic enforcement and the lack of consequence for illegal driving, is a contributing factor in this mess.

I read the OP. It's just another business added to those you mentioned. None are conspiracies, but merely an opportunity to make money from hysteria generated by the media, various government and sheeple. What is the fatality rate from Covid? Less than 2%, + or -?

Maybe we English speaking countries who live in Thailand should try speaking some Thai. I bet we are worst then the Thais.
Learning the Thai language is largely optional for many expats. Learning English for business, science, research, banking, medicine, aviation, etc., seems to be mandatory, unless Thailand has no interest in moving forward on the world stage. I speak for myself, not some nebulous "we" that you referenced.

Bunch of clowns
Please don't insult real clowns. They have an honest job, pay taxes, make people happy, don't torture people and don't accept bribes for "clowning around". Emmett Kelly would most likely agree.

USA - democracy !!! 555
Corporatocracy - yes
Doesn't seem to present anything past the triple !!! and 555. Perhaps it is merely your dislike of the country and not the relevant issues that your axe is grinding.

The greatest obstacle to any program is often the ineptness and corruption of the authors.

They probably weigh a few wet, and then weigh piles, or count the number per m3 by volume for example... Different way of counting. Still counting though.
Much like the Covid case counting. Unreliable when considering who is counting and the motive.

The science concerning what has and is going on seems to not support or contradict much of this. What is the fatality rate of "Covid deaths", who determines it, where is the transparency and more. Those in governments around the world are generally in the business to amass power and wealth. The unelected forms are the worse.

Plenty of water, plenty of stray dogs , plenty of broken down footpaths, plenty of taxis not using meters, plenty of mobile police patrols...er, forget that one. The Hub of Plenty.

Warn, threaten, implore, plea advise, caution, cajole, appeal, repeat, ignore. No enforcement, no consequence, no matter.

Which crystal ball are you using? Can you forcast the economic outlook, political atmosphere and future storms as well?

It was depressing before Covid.
Living here these past years, I'm not depressed before or after. Not my circus, not my sideshow. I support small, local businesses and tip good service generously. Lip service and keyboard laments doesn't pay the rent.

70+ here. Boxing, weight training and walks 6 days a week. Other silver hairs, no hairs and vision impaired at the gym. Breakfast afterwards with my workout mates, ages 52 to 70. We chat about all sorts of things, many of which are mentioned. Got Up, Got Out, Got Moving and Got a Life. Best wishes all.
