  1. Kiss Food & Drink restaurant on 2nd Rd in Jomtien has a pretty good plate of barbecued ribs all for 170 baht. Though a little small they were definitely fall off the bone good with plenty of sauce, I didn't even touch the extra sauce.0c84a925d53f04d5d96771b4e4ab14e4.jpge6915c2791b11759b352db59f3327a54.jpg

Next time I'll have to try the strip loin for 270 baht. Not sure if this special is offered at their other locations or not.

  2. For those who like American style BBQ ribs give Smokin' Joe's on Soi Lenkee next to the Steak & Co a try. My ribs were delicious as were the sides. They also have a short Thai menu if you have a Thai friend.  Portions large, prices reasonable for the quality. Comfortable seating, a/c, friendly staff that repeats your order.

Did you fill out the TM 30 yourself? Did you need anything other than the TM30?  Never knew there was an upstairs at Jomtien.

First time I had to I had to fill one out they sent me upstairs, this was over a year ago.  Since then I've been able to do everything downstairs.

Yes I've filled out every TM-30 myself.

This past week or so the condo where I stay posted a notice, first time so something is going on.  Hopefully I won't have any issues as I lost my receipt but I'll be less than 90 days, fingers crossed.

  4. Hello. The beef was some sort of ground beef. I had both the nachos and a burrito. I honestly thought the beef may have come out of a can, perhaps available wholesale or even at Villa market. I'm a little spoiled because at Mikes Mexican they use pressure cooked rib eye steak. Any beef entree is a portion of this as well as on the beef nachos. In addition, at Mikes they give you some sour creme on the side and sprinkle the nachos with jalapenos.  They also charge I think it's 225 Baht vs. a more reasonable 150 Baht a Sue's. I got curious about the location as I had always disliked the overbearing lights at the tailor shop. Then I saw a tattoo shop where the Blue Parrot used to be. No big deal on the location. I'll go again, Mike's is out of the way but I'll also go there and even try this "Dans" if he ever opens? Taco Bell...wish I could buy a franchise and open it here..Do you think a Taco Bell would work? Would Thai people buy food at Taco Bell? McDonalds survives. Burger King as well, but I don't know how BK does.

Ok, I guess I grew up enjoying my Mom's tacos and Taco Bell, etc. which all were made with ground beef and very texmex. Eating Mike's flavor with the shredded beef is different, in fact many times I'll order the chicken instead.
