It was funny last night to see so many of them lined up in rather close proximity, all parked and doing the same thing at the same time.
must have been ''pissing time''
More likely a "pissing contest" !
I'm surprised that the OP was not involved in the contest. A serious contender - he can piss and moan with the best of them.

Close to my home is the Crystal Design Center, and the Crystal Park shopping center. Both of these have large parking areas. Further down the road towards Ram Indra, the parking lot at Tawandaeng beer hall would be good. This would actually be ideal, because there is usually nobody here in the morning / daytime.
Maybe if you posted the area of Bangkok where you are, another member who is familiar with the area could provide some suggestions.

I would suggest an outdoor carpark or an industrial estate, early in the morning at a weekend, when there is no one about.

has any one ever caught a two legged rat on these boards can i ask.
No shortage of those!
And no need for glue boards. Most of this type become ensnared by a relentless pussy.

Whilst I agree that cats are an excellent deterrent - mice will avoid them, they are not the solution for an exisiting mouse problem.
Every cat I have ever known likes to "play" with the mouse before killing them. They will catch the mouse, claw and chew on it for a while, and then release it to play the game and catch again.
If you think glue boards are traumatic for a mouse - imagine being hunted and maimed over and over again by a feline.
Also, the cat does not win every time. Upon release, the mouse can go and hide somewhere where the cat can not get to them. The cat will eventually lose interest and move on while the injured mouse dies a slow death as I have described above: inside your wall, under your refrigrator, or whatever other inacessible location they hide themself, only to rot and stink in same difficult to access location.
Lastly, not everyone wants the responsibility or expense of maintaining a full time pet.
STATUS UPDATE - the mother in law just took another board outside and dispatched another mouse. I thought we had them all, but yet one more just got caught. Score is now Glue boards 8, rodents 0.

I hate the glue boards , as other creatures like gekos get stuck to them . We use pink pellets that you can buy in a box at Lotus , it may be slower but it gets rid of the mice .
Hmmmm... slower, and allows them to be poisoned slowly and die inside your wall, under your refrigrator, or whatever other inacessible location they hide themself, only to rot and stink in same difficult to access location.
I'll stick with the glue boards (pun intended) , seeing the vermin die and leaving the household permanently.

Really cruel way to solve the problem, me thinks, I'v seen a friend having to bludgeon them to death in order to get them off the board.
Why not just use the metal traps, similar to the way we caught birds as a kid, ( can buy them in the "plastic" shops) then drive a couple of clicks and release then away from houses, like in a field. That's what we do and I have to say.....feel kinda good after it.
Why on earth would he even try to get the mouse off of the board?? Trying to save money? The boards were 32 baht for a pack of 2.
Dispatch the mouse and throw the whole lot away.
Mother in law / extended family live in a house in the middle of the village, and do not have a car to escort the vermin out to a better life in the country. What would be your solution in this case? Release them into the neighbor's yard?

My BIL just buys them from Big C (no idea what brand) and just puts a piece of food in the middle.
This is exactly what we got – Big C brand boards. I was expecting the rectangular boards that you put along the baseboards in mouse path areas, but these had a circular swirl of glue with a place in the center for bait. They worked well. We had 4 mice within 20 minutes of setting them out, and 3 more overnight.
I take a long, fairly wide pvc pipe and cover their head and put all my weight on it. It will break their spine quickly and then I use the same pipe to crush their skull completely with the edge.
We didn’t have any PVC here, but I found a 3 foot long piece of 2 by 4 the served well to crush the mice that were caught. I told the women that they would not want to watch this part, but the Mother In Law was right there beside me. After seeing how to deal with them, she had the three mice caught overnight dispatched and cleaned up before we woke up this morning.
Just live with the local wildlife- they won't harm you and just maybe in the future we will have a planet where the indigenous species are not just found in Zoos ?
I beg to differ… mice and rats are potentially dangerous. Look at this website.
Diseases directly transmitted by rodents | Rodents | CDC
Indigenous? Rats and mice are indigenous worldwide, and in no danger of extinction anytime soon. The only time they are an endangered species is if they want to share my living space.
Yes, peanut butter has always worked well for us in a variety of different rat traps.
The 'Willards' on this thread should acquaint themselves with the dangers of leptospirosis spread by rat pee. Also the very real possibility of a short-circuit caused by rats gnawing on wires. The fire hazard in wooden houses is very great if your place is infested by rats.
Peanut butter was the bait of choice, and it worked well. Mother In Law freaked out when I took the peanut butter and slathered it onto a piece of bread and ate it for breakfast. She thought it was poison!
I’m with you DaddyWarbucks… rats and mice are vermin that can turn into an infestation quickly if left unchecked. At best they are messy pests, and at worst they are a health hazard and can cause serious damage to your home. They definitely have no place living with humans.
Needless to say, Mother in Law is thrilled beyond belief to have a rodent free kitchen. She and sisters are three women living alone with children and had no idea what to do. They were absolutely astonished that we caught so many, and so fast. She is going back to Big C today to buy more glue boards and peanut butter to keep them in household inventory.

We are upcountry visiting the mother in law for the holidays, and I have noticed many mice in the house... scurrying through the kitchen area, and can clearly hear them at night ripping into stuff. I want to go shopping and get a bunch of glue boards,
I want to know if any TV members have any experience or suggestion for the best brands available- typically at Lotus or Big C. I know some have the food smell, and also have some form of euthanasia to dispatch them quickly once they are trapped.Any suggestions welcome- thanks in advance!

Som nahm nah has been said several times on this thread already.
OK... how about ...

Many do... Also many TOURISTS enjoy returning to a cool room between the beach and the massage table - is this unreasonable when they are enjoying their hard-earned, capital-depleting two week break from the rat-race?Why not leave the lights or TV on all day, just because you can?
I like to leave the TV on and enough light to show under the door, as a security measure. A room that appears to be occupied is less likely to be robbed.

My girlfriend wanted to buy a smartphone for her sister who had never had one. She wanted to keep the cost down as much as possible. I went to LAZADA.COM and found this TELEGO W 408 ( http://www.lazada.co.th/telego-w408-blue-3g2gwi-fi-324509.html) B1690. I wasn't expecting much but the specs looked good for the price and OK for a beginner phone. Lazada has a 14 day return policy so if it was no good, I could return it.
This does look very decent for the money.
Question - does it have Google Play store installed for access to downloading and installing apps?

The last communication from the cockpit to air traffic control was a request by one of the pilots to climb from 32,000 feet (9,754 meters) to 38,000 feet (11,582 meters) because of the weather. The tower was not able to immediately comply because of the other planes, said Bambang Tjahjono, director of the state-owned company in charge of air traffic control.
NeverSure / other flyers out there ... can you tell us if this is normal? How often does this happen?
Even though this was a "modern plane designed to withstand severe weather", I am sure that most passengers are not so agreeable. It seems to me that if there are other aircraft in the area tht complicate this, surely they would be in the same weather situation. Would the air traffic control get busy adjusting all other flights to make room for the one who is requesting it, or is it a case like this where they reply with a Sorry- no can do..... good luck?
Was Indonesian Air Traffic Control doing anything at all to help this plane in those final four minutes after denying the request?

There just had to be a stingy one posting exactly that. If you had a coffee shop in Central please enlighten us as to what price you would charge for a medium latte (105 Baht in Starbucks)?Anyone who pays their crazy prices for a cup of coffee will find the internet to be a bargain.
You should try Cafe Amazon. The same fresh ground beans, steam pressed cup is 50 baht for their Latte Amazon house blend. 60 baht if you splurge on the premium blend.
Everything on their menu boards is 50% cheaper than Starbucks. It just shows you how bad you are being zoomed by the big brand name.

He opposed the poll, so he is going to bring lawsuits against the people who disrupted it??
Wouldn't they be on the same team / common cause??
I just don't get it. Words fail me.

How many rapes/sexual assaults do you think occur weekly committed by drivers of "normal" taxis in BKK?
Probably 50 times more than the Uber guys who pick me up in their black suits and treat me like a guest at a 5 star hotel.
So your suggesting that Bangkok taxi drivers rape 50 people a week!!!!
Are you suggesting that an Uber guy, in a black suit treating passengers like a guest at a 5 star hotel, is raping someone once a week?
Right- The equation needs one Uber driver times 50 to equal 50 Bangkok drivers committing rape. Otherwise, zero multiplied by 50 is zero.
However, it does happen. Maybe not outright rape, but harassment and assault of female passengers. Just about every Thai woman I know is hesitant or outright afraid to travel alone in a taxi at night.
I would certainly be more comfortable sending my Ms. in a taxi such as Uber that has been specifically called for her and have a record of the journey as opposed to the risk of a creepy driver flagged off the street.

Any punishment or sentence would be better than the "transfer to an inactive post" that is handed down to the most corrupt group in Thailand when they are caught out.

Sounds like somebody got to Anek and made him an incredible offer if he could get the amnesty included into the new constitution. I wonder how much was in the pastry box?

From what my wife told me these twins are implanted and not from a natural pregnancy.
I could believe that. If you consider the birthdate, it would also seem that they were targeting a most auspicious date but missed it by one.

So for who need take a shower in PKT airport ??? I have no idea.
If someone checks out from their room at the usual 11-12 check out time and has a late flight, they could store their luggage, and may wish to go to the beach in the afternoon.
A lounge / shower facility would be a godsend to freshen up and wash off the saltwater residue and sand, and change to fresh clothes before a flight.

All of that crap is required if you check the box to register the domain with godaddy as a business entity. If you register it personally, none is required.
