@MikeandDow sorry mate but your advice is both wrong and potentially very dangerous. If anyone is found to be on overstay by the police they are arrested and passed to immigrations. Its only 'no big deal' if you don't get stopped AND the immigration officer at the border accepts your reason for overstay.
another incorrect statment quote: and the immigration officer accepts your reason for overstay end quote, what aload!!! you do NOT have to give ANY reason, just pay the money NO BIG DEAL
Mike its is starting to look like your need to make yourself correct is stopping you from seeing what being posted not just by myself but by other BM's.
Read what I have written again I make no mention of Immigration Police I simply state the fact ANYONE stopped by the police that are unable to produce a valid visa will be open to arrest and detention leading to expulsion. Immigration at the airport will accept any reason for the overstay as long as you have the money to cover the fine BUT at land crossings they do on occasion refuse.

A pity she's an Apple IOS fan and is using her iphone 5 happily, even after it ran into network problems in it's 1st year and had it replaced with a refurbished set on a one-to-one exchange.

Seems that my IQ XA has been superceded by a new flagship called IQ 6.1 using latest MTK 6589T but resolution is still the same.
http://product.i-mobilephone.com/1321_
Unlike Chinese made Zopo C3 with the same MTK6589T plus a full hd resolution of 1920X1080 with a very high pixel density of 441ppi!

Joys of technology unfortunately as soon as you buy it they supersede it. Maybe Mrs RevStar Zen would like a nice IQX?

Dear Mat
Be careful if you need to move. You are in illegal situation, if the police control you they will arrest you. The sentence is 500 per day of overstay and direct in jail.
I suggest you to go faster in the immigration checkpoint to pay with apologizes but I think they ask you to go back in your country.
Other solution, see my private message
Good luck
This is Incorrect They do NOT ask you to go back to your country just a bullshit statement just go to the boarder pay fine and come back no big deal

Pressing power and volume down does a reboot (similar to taking the battery out), it does NOT do a full reset.
I've done it on my own IQ XA when it 'locked up and wouldn't switch on'. When I pressed the two buttons it rebooted and everything was saved and in the same condition it was in immediately prior to locking up.
Incidentally when mine locked up I had fully charged the phone and the power lead was still plugged in. I unplugged the power lead to check something then immediately changed my mind and, without thinking about the phone being fully charged, plugged the power lead back in. The phone locked as I put the lead in. As I said, I pressed the two buttons and it reset to the last condition it was in. Everything saved and remembered.
+!
My mistake joys of assumption. Different phones/ROM's use different key combinations to access they lower level functions. I have used pwr + Vol- before to get ot the recovery mode where you can reset/restore a phone. As you correctly said on the IQX it takes you to the 'Factory' mode for testing and rebooting.
I wonder if the long press on the pwr initiates the same reset as pwr +Vol-?
-
When you say 'the long power press', to reset the phone it should be 'hold down the power AND volume down button at the same time for more than five seconds'. Is that what you meant/did?
No its not what I did/mean.
A 20+ second press of the power button alone can sometime cause the phone to reboot if its stuck. You are correct though saying powering on with the power button and the Vol button depressed will get to the recovery mode so you can do a full reset. Useful to know but obviously a bit drastic if you can avoid it.

Anyone got any tips on how to remove the battery? For some reason my phone has just shut down and wont power back on.
EDIT
**FIXED IT**
How did you fix it?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Not 100% if I fixed it or it fixed its self.
Tried the long power press with out luck. Removed the SIM and MicroSD plugged in the power left it for 5 minutes then log pressed the power and it came back. More luck than judgement I think.

For anyone needing 850, 900 and 2,100 for 3G - I've just seen the new iMobile 6.1 in the iMobile service centre in MBK. It also has a new 1.5 GHz quad core processor and a 5 inch 720 HD screen.
It has the same "18 MP" camera as the IQ X .... but in my opinion with these tiny phone sensors 8 MP is probably more than enough and anything more just gives you more noise .... so 13 MP is OK for me. Does anyone really do big poster sized prints from mobile phone snaps?
Nice one mate maybe the two BM's looking for multiband 3G can buy this model and start a new thread for it.... -)

i-Mobile IQX rebranded to Starmobile Knight Android Jelly bean that has 18 Megapixels camera
Starmobile is now giving us more thrills on their recently announced line up of Android phone. One of those 11 devices that will surely catch your attention in terms of specifications and features is the Starmobile Knight. This device sports an 18 megapixels rear camera and 8 megapixels on front, both has autofocus and a BSI sensor that helps enhance photo quality at low light shots. Isn’t it awesome?Starmobile Knight Specs and featuresAndroid 4.2 Jelly Bean OS4.7-inch IPS HD Display in Corning Gorilla Glass1280 × 720 pixel resolution18 megapixels rear camera with AF, LF and BSI8 megapixels front camera with AF and BSI1.2GHz Quad-core processorPowerVR SGX544MP GPU1GB RAM4GB Internal storagesupport up to 32GB on microSDDual SIM / Dual Standby3G / HSPA+/ Wi-Fi / Wi-Fi hotspotBluetooth / GPSNon removable 2000mAh batteryThe device was also featured at Unbox teaser post titled ‘Starmobile K’, also credit goes to those who pointed a link to the original device name of Starmobile Knight. Knight is a rebranded i-Mobile IQX, a mobile brand from Thailand where the said device is available.Specs above are top average, with only one weakness which is the non removable battery. 1GB RAM on this device I think would do and renders the speed you want knowing its quad core processor. Design also looks sexy on its slim body with slightly rounded edge that makes you think of comparing to iPhone device. Here’s more about i-Mobile IQX (Starmobile Knight), a post from this site pointed out that it has only 12.7 megapixels. They take apart all the parts of i-Mobile IQX and found out that the camera module has only 12.7 megapixels. To support on what they found out, they also pointed the Mediatek CPU used which is MT6589 supports only 13 MP while i-Mobile IQX announced with 18 MP camera. See photo below, credits to the respective site for the photo as watermarked. To end up this case and to clear all your doubts, i-Mobile personnel mentioned on the forum updated that what found out is right. The ‘software interpolation has come a long way’ to attain that 18 megapixels.

Received my bight green and black case today and have to admit its pretty good. Phone is held in a gel mount with a side flapped opening. The opening has slots for 2 credit cards and a small insert for some money. Only worry would be the magnetic clip against the cards but its only my Oyster so easy to replace if damaged.
Not bad for 350THB.

To be honest, this word viral is being misused here... first off, viral always indicates something dangerous and infective always is connected with bad things... in the fashion industry, they have their own words for these kinds of things.. so its a bit stupid to copy others, just coz others do... the ole, "monkey see, monkey do" sort of way... and anyone with 1/2 intelligence could state it in a way that fits its use... then, ok so thai girls and katoey's like to show off... the girls, its great... so its not a bad thing, not a virus(where viral comes from)... then we got the fact that trends change, in china they've been wearing push ups for a long time, not to mention western countries forever... this is fashion this is what people do... soon bell bottoms will be or going bra-less will happen again? "in fashion" or "viral"... and in the final words... "who in the hell cares if girls do that?" why do we need to make this a news subject... our world is going mad... hehe as bad as NBC news talking about the soaps on news times.
I would of agreed 10 years ago but now the word viral is also accepted in the world of technology.
ViralFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThe adjective or adverb viral and the noun virality may refer to any viral phenomenon, that is, an object or pattern that is able to induce some agents to replicate it, resulting in many copies being produced and spread around. For example, virality relating to social, cultural, emotional, and affective contagions that spread through socio-technical networks.
In medical terminology "viral" means pertaining to a virus.
More specifically, the terms may be used in reference to:
- A biological virus
- A computer virus
- A meme
- Viral marketing, the use of existing social networks to spread a marketing message
- Viral phenomenon, relating to contagion theory or the "virality" of network culture
- A viral video, a video that quickly attains a high popularity

Interesting case in them being tried seperately...
I wonder that if Söderlund escapes justice by putting the blame squarely on Ljung, the when Ljung comes before the court that he simply says..'you freed a guilty man!!'
He and he alone killed the other guy..i am innocent 100%...
Then what?
Two creeps , both apparently guilty of killing another human being, get off scot free...quite possible IMO
Never heard of accused being split in Thailand as you say it gives them a chance to play off each other both blaming the other till one walks then possibly accepting blame hiding behind double jeopardy. Wonder how much they paid for such an exception?

What a nice change to the normal crap we all love to moan about so much.

Now you are just being obtuse.
Dam aimed for sarcastic and got obtuse.

I think the reporter mixed up the alleged street value and quantity of heroin found. 200kg seems like a lot. How much space would that fill? Looking at the picture that seems a substantial amount of H.

Then consider if they were going to fly it back how much luggage they would have!

In a moment of madness I uninstalled Adobe Flash which is obviously fairly useful. Tried reinstalling it from XDA but it’s not working right. Could someone look at the version installed on the IQX and post it for me so I can hunt it down? Cheers.
On my IQ XA looking at the app info in settings it just says Adobe Flash Player 11.1 version 11.1.115.34
When I select the flash player settings app in my apps it takes me to this web page
https://settings.adobe.com/flashplayer/mobile
Don't know if this helps at all. Hope so.
@sumrit cheers that that seems I have pulled down a slightly different version I will hunt down 115.34.
Thanks.
EDIT. In case anyone else has a vacant moment like me here is the APK.

Thanks to a new native Android tool, you can now easily locate your phone and (in a worst case scenario) perform a remote data wipe. Read on as we show you how to activate the feature on your phone.
Why Do I Want to Do This?Whether you’re just prone to losing your phone in your house or you’re worried about data security if your phone is actually stolen, there’s no good reason to skip turning on the security features available through Android Device Manager. It’s free, it has next to no overhead, and you can access it to locate your device and/or remote wipe it from any computer you can log into your Google account from.
Even if you think you’ll never need it, it takes so little effort to turn it on that it would be outright foolish to not do so.
What Do I Need?To follow along with this tutorial you’ll need the following things:
Note: While Android Device Manager has been available to Google business account users for some time, Google only started rolling it out to consumer/standard accounts in early August, 2013. If Android Device Manager isn’t on your Android phone yet, check back in a few days to see if you’ve received the update.
Turning On Android Device ManagerBy default, the new Android Device Manager feature is turned off. In order to enable it grab your Android phone and navigate to Settings -> Security ->Device Administrators. This menu will be available to everyone, even if the update hasn’t officially rolled out to their phone. If your phone has received the update, you’ll see the following entry within the Device Administrators menu:
Go ahead and check the checkbox next to Android Device Manager. You’ll be prompted with the following security screen:
Normally those kind of sweeping powers would be a red flag, but in the case of this particular app we’re specifically using it to allow us to remote wipe our phone and change security settings. Go ahead and click the Activate button.
Note: Users on earlier versions of the Android OS may be required to individually check “Remotely locate this device” and “Allow remote factory reset” before accepting the changes.
Once the Android Device Manager has been activated, you can return to the home screen and resume using your phone.
Managing Your Phone via the Device Manager Web PortalOnce you’ve set up the Android Device Manager on your phone, you can begin managing it from the Android Device Manager web portal, available at: https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager. The first time you access the service you’ll need to accept an agreement to allow Android Device Manager to use your location data.
After that you can select your device from the dropdown menu in the corner and perform one of three tasks.
First, using GPS/Wi-Fi location data from the phone, you can locate the phone. This feature is dependent on recent GPS data and if the GPS/location functionality has been turned off on the phone for a period of time (say, several days) it will simply remote that the location is unavailable.
Second, you can ring the device to locate it if it is in earshot. Even if your phone has the ringer turned off or set to vibrate it will switch to the default ringtone at 100% volume. This is the most practical feature of Android Device Manager as not many people routinely deal with device theft, but many of us are guilty of misplacing our devices.
Finally, you can remotely wipe the device. This function initiates a factory wipe on the device. The portion of the warning “We may not be able to wipe the content of the SD card in your device” is a bit ambiguous. Internal storage designated as /sdcard will be wiped. Removable SD cards may be wiped depending on the hardware/OS version. The business version of Android Device Manager has a specific wipe-SD-card functionality which if not already deployed in the consumer version of Android Device Manager will likely be deployed in the near future.
