  1. So no checking of fingerprints on arrival
  2. A lot of people think that this is a crazy idea because everyone will switch from a non o to doing visa runs .What they’ve overlooked is that the 1900 baht for an extension 4 times a year plus the border runs will probably bring more money into the country
  3. Uk government website has been updated to 60 days from June 1st
  4. If you get knocked down by a mad taxi driver or motorcycle expect a nice £20k bill from the hospital. Is it not worth paying for it ?
  5. ATM do we know if enter visa exempt from uk ,60 days ,will a border run be an additional 60 or will they restrict it to 30
  6. Sandy f if you look at the OP you will see that he has a gmail account not MS and so therefore MS would not contact him Google would Correct??

  10. Of course you have to show it otherwise it could be a copy of someone else’s account.I think you need about £2k balance to be a sponsor
  11. There was a slightly larger plot but more rural for 1.6 million so I made a judgement that it was a good price .Only 5 minutes drive from the main road to udon Thani and the neighbors are all professional workers
  12. You get what you pay for and as life is cheaper in the rural areas save enough money to have the odd excursion to a city .Just purchased very large ,over 1 rai, land in rural area for 850k whereas smaller land plot next to my house in Pathum Thani sold for several million
  13. I’m pretty sure that when I got my Evisa in uk they didn’t ask for flight details so maybe a VPN method would work
  14. When I said 3 years I was referring th its end date not the notion that you can drive in Thailand for 3 years. When I return next year it will obviously still be valid
  15. I think if you stay on a non o extension you have to get a Thai license,I think you are right and IDP only allowed if on tourist or visa exempt
  16. Paid £5 for my IDP in uk valid for 3 years so no excuse for any uk citizen not to have one
  17. Was much easier this time and got mine within a day .Had to supply wife’s ID card,as in staying at her house ,as an additional document after submitting
  18. Yes £38k a year .Luckily I have done a lot of OT this year so just sneak through
  19. That will be my local IO and I will probably need one to open a bank account so not great news lol
  20. Can we just clarify if a multiple entry non o is available in the uk .I thought it wasn’t
  21. My main reason for this idea is that I can maintain a uk residence so won’t have any bank account issues and I will also receive,a few years ahead, the state pension increases .It also takes away the issue of opening a Thai bank account with all the current issues
  22. If I wanted to split my time between the uk and Thailand and used the non o marriage visa .Can I use a non o for say 90 days and return to uk then maybe a few months later return on another non o .Are there any rules stopping multiple non o visas
