His business model was to get a run down place and redevelop it into a restaurant, then have a menu of stable western favourites at a cheap price.

Cobra Gold 2021 will take place in August.
Pattaya expects up to 2000 US military personnel to visit during this time for R&R.

If we're living here it's to everyone's benefit for everyone to get vaccinated regardless of nationality. The virus doesn't check!
Come on Jingthing, please don't tell me you would be surprised at this?

The response I got was extraordinary, telling me how they care for all Nationalities then saying I cant register without a Thai ID.
Yes, Richard Barrow posted the same the other day.

Far enough out in the Boondocks that it will be inaccessible for the many farangs living near the beach who don't have their own transport and depend on Baht Buses to get around. I should have thought that PEACH would have been a better location, at least for the Bright Side population. Makes no difference to me, just thinking of my fellow expats, some of whom don't have their own wheels.
I agree about the location, but this will not involve Foreigners I would have thought.

June, so must we presume it is AZ?
Not sure.
Vaccinating 300,000 seems to have been mentioned.

That said, I do not yet feel confident to say it is 'very hard to contract the virus outdoors'....
Well, I have always been of this opinion, but it has still surprised me to see some of the so called covid experts now stating it.

Surprised to see that they are going to use, the indoor stadium on Chaiyapruek to start vaccinating Pattaya residents in June.

It doesn't. Sunlight kills it on surfaces. Salt water kills it too.
At first glance, beaches are the safest places to be.
But.
People gather in groups on the beach, that's the dangerous bit.
Agreed, but even the biggest backers of lockdowns now admit its very hard to contract the virus outdoors.

All the beaches and restaurants down in Sattahip closed on Friday last week (April 16).
Navy closed them until further notice.

Mostly it is just the girls scrounging before the cameras.
Put Pattaya into a 24 hour search on youtube, and near every video is of girls in closed bars.

If it wasn't for Government payments
Yes, that 1000 baht credit a week, to be spent in selective shops was a big help ????

So, Witherspoons on Soi Buakhao has been sold.
Witherspoons is in the process of moving to what was one of the R-Con Sports Bars just up from the S-Bend.
We await to see what Witherspoons will become.

Yes, I have now seen it on Thai News.

The objections to Songkran in Pattaya are that it lasts too long and is impossible to avoid.
I remember when Songkran in Pattaya was only the one day, the 19th, and there was just as much whinging about that, as there is nowadays.
All the usual suspects, Bad Farangs, Dirty Water, Ice, Dangerous, Can't dress well when I go out at night ... and on and on it goes.
Most seem to be smokers for some reason.

Mayor addressed the Jetski competition yesterday, in that it would go ahead, as its outside and there will be no spectators.
The Kite Festival on Pattaya Beach was also mentioned, and it would go ahead as planned until the 19th.
