I considered South America for some time--not anymore.

Started from Dominican republic--two hours fly from Miami is the only benefit. Visited 4 cities--all distinct 3-d world smell. Beggars, rip-offs, garbage etc--keep it. Females consider themselves high level and speak only Spanish. Food lousy, properties overprized. No public transportation from airport.

Costa Rica--visited multiple times--lousy--overrun with homeless in capital--negative impression on everything.

Panama--no public transportation from airport, high crime.

Ecuador--on internet was looking good till this virus hit and suddenly everything bad and corpses laying everywhere.

Columbia--you need good luck having with you.

Mexico--no, thank you.

It maybe strange but you need good luck to survive.

Lets see today Florida.

Florida don't care much about rest of the country as millions from up north take vacations here and, as a result, we don't have state income tax. Now supposedly all country under lockdown except Florida--yes, we don't care about virus-I am not required stay home or wear mask and supermarkets have everything I need and all transactions are online anyway. Sure government offices closed and police stay away from chasing idiots and giving tickets.

Lets get to the point. After I hit 75 the only country that accept me is US where I pay taxes but when

traveling I rely on cash and credit card.

My favored country Thailand make all kind of trouble for old farangs so I start thinking of buying Elite visa to go around. American medical system is not bad but too complicated and is not free. Its complicated because lots of people make good living from it and fights between political parties common and never ending. My impression is Japanese system more reasonable.
