Yes there is a appeal allowed. You complete a TM11 form, pay the 1900 baht fee and they have to respond to it within 7 days.
So what happens during those 7 days? Stay in immigration detention until they respond?

I was there on that Friday afternoon around 2pm. Took me 7 mins from getting a queue number till getting my passport back with the extension of stay for a METV. I don't know if this is a fastest record ever in Thailand but it sure was for me. In BKK it's absolutely ridiculous having to wait the whole day even if you arrive there around 10am!

Has the taxi driver been also banned from driving a taxi and had his taxi license taken away from him? Or is it business as usual?

Does anyone know of any good dentists in the Pattaya area & BKK (around Silom, Bangrak) for teeth cleaning and roughly how much they would charge for it? Looking for ones around 800 baht or less is ideal.

You're not really puzzled you're just trying to have a wind up.. There are thousands of blokes all over the world sending money to these sponging little trollops.
I've recently been asked by a good pal of mine to go and make sure for that 'his girl' that he's sending 20,000 B a month to is no longer working in her bar. And he's not a newbie. She's told him she's being a good girl back up in the boondocks working on the family farm.
So far I've passed the bar three times and not seen her there. But that does not mean that she's not changed bars, there are hundreds or possibly thousands of bars in Pattaya.
He's made the same mistake before but he's not that daft that he would dream of blaming her punters for his own naivety.
Now that is a definition of a total idiot. Lots of them in Pattaya and in Thailand that it's super common. Sending money to a girl let alone a bar girl lol....

I'm pretty sure they don't care...
Just put down any address you want ????
who is going to check that ? ? ?
They just want a name of any hotel on the paper. 1 Time i did not give a name on the paper, they stopped me and said i need to fill in a hotel. I said i didn't know yet what hotel i was going to stay in.
No problem he said. Just give a name.
Who says "they just want a name of any hotel on the paper"??? Who told you that? I've always put down my condo address with no issues. I'm sure an apartment address would also be ok.

How did you notice the chlorine in the water? Are you using it as drinking water?

Last week at Suvarnabhumi I couldn’t use the Thai line with my partner because the Thai didn’t go through a manned station but through automated gates with passport scanning.
At Suvarnabhumi & Don Muang, do all the Thai lines have automated gates or only some of them?
To the people that said "yes", would both of you present yourself at the immigration desk together when at the front of the queue, or separately?
-
If travelling with a Thai gf into or out of Thailand, can we use the Thai line with her at airport or do we have to use the foreigner's 1 hour queue while she goes express through the Thai line?

i like your post but even higher levels of society share the "money worship" style. i know a farang that rents a condo to a thai gal with a good management position with a japan multinational company. she has car, big bike, house, etc etc, nosy uni grad juristic office women ask her how much farang pays her every month in addition to providing car and bike.
As far as I know, my gf has never been asked that by her co-workers or her friends. If she was asked then she would tell them truthfully that it's absolutely nothing, zilch, nada, zero. ????

My BTS Rabbit Card from 5-6 years ago still works. The Yellow/Orange coloured one. Your one doesn't still work? Or did the staff tell you they can't top it up anymore and asked you to get a new one?
How much was the issuing fee & deposit for the old Yellow/Orange Rabbit Card? I forgot how much it was.
Also, I never had to register this card. I just top it up at the window with 100 baht each time no problems.

I'm not sure if they have access to the full records at the front desk. I've heard accounts previously where people have been taken aside and a supervisor is able access a more comprehensive history than the front line staff. Also unclear what kind of records are visible to them at border points. The perception of a clean passport is far from foolproof, but it would at least remove the written comment, and create a better perception when applying for new visas at regional embassies.
I don't know, but maybe they do. Or maybe the guy in his 50's or so who was my IO was a supervisor working at the front desk and had that access available to him.

"Been dating a Thai woman for over a year now. her co-workers and friends only asked how much money do I send her each month. And when I'd she moving to USA." - seems like her co-workers & friends are a bunch of whores. What type of work does your Thai gf do? Seems like she doesn't have good friends or co-workers...

I know a guy that got denied entry then got back in with his second passport, so yeah it works. But it's also just luck of the draw with which IO you get and whether they look into your history and take issue with it. Avoid female IOs, they tend to be worse
If we aim for the male IOs, should we aim to queue with the young ones or old ones? How to select the "correct" one that will be the least hassle? I usually just looked for the shortest queue with the quickest moving lines.

If you're back in the UK, a new passport would erase visible evidence of the visa history and the 24 hour remark, which would at least avoid higher level scrutiny at embassies and border points.
It erases visa history in the passport but not in immigration's computer system. When I came in with a brand new passport because the old one was expired, the 1st thing the officer said was "new passsport?" then looked at the computer and said "many entries into Thailand".

Thinking along the lines of the OP's challenges in this thread:
I'm wondering, if someone has two passports (one passport each from different countries eg. US passport & an EU passport), would Thai immigration somehow match up the names in the system if you got a METV tourist visa in the 2nd countries passport (EU Passport) and entered Thailand with it? So if they said you've had too many tourist visa entries on the US passport and swapped to the EU passport it would solve that problem?

Since it's written just on your passport page and not on a Visa, I wonder what would happen if you were to accidentally scribble it out with black pen or somehow accidentally have a big tear in that page so that part is missing. Would anything happen? You could say your kid or nephew was playing with your passport lol

Hands up if any of you here are that Brit old man in the OP's photo ???????????? Surely he's a member of this forum lol

I tired to get a replacement lens for my very expensive Ray Bans, I gave up in the end, one because matching them seemed to present enormous problems for the repairer, but the cost was half the cost of the whole frame and two lenses. gave up and put up with the scratches. Good luck with your attempt.
Too many scratches on mine, can't see out of them clearly so it makes it blurry. Plus it's recommended to get new sunglasses every year or two because the UV protection on the lenses become useless after a while.
-
Does anyone know roughly how much and where is a good place to get new sunglasses lens put in? Ones that provide 100% UV protection? Mine are super scratched already and need either replacing or buying a new pair of sunnies.
Nearly sent back at airport - IO says after this 60 day stay I can't come back for 6 months

So it's a good idea to pre-fill in the form and have it in your carry on luggage just in case, and of course have 1,900 baht on you.
