What overpaid official public servant came up with this astounding earth-shattering conclusion? Such genius and insight!

Thank you all for your answers. I'm currently on Thai spouse extension with eligibility of 400K in bank. If I go for retired Visa, won't I need 800K instead? Going back to my original question, so I could renew/reapply for Marriage Extension every year without limit (as long as our marriage still valid)?
Yes. As long as your local immigration office finally is the rules of Thailand and don't make up the rules to suit themselves. I had a few run ins with Thai bureaucracy and systems and this was the one that drove the last nail in my long stay coffin. That is why we don't live in Thailand anymore

If you keep your bank balance below 800,000 theyt cannot force you to do anything.
I had been on a retirement visa for three or 4 years but was fine in the 800000 got thing a bit onerous so I wanted to change to a cheaper option with the possibility of a work permit. After several attempts to get them to change their mind my wife and I decided to return to my home country and we have been very happy here except my wife misses her mother who is now in her 90s. And of course, the weather. I'm not an Australian. They have good weather in many parts.

I was told by my local immigration branch several years ago that because here was more work for them in a marriage extension, they will not do marriage extensions for farangs over 50. You therefore had to apply for a retired long stay extension in certain immigration districts if you are over 50. Regardless of the inconvenience of different financial rules for you. Not sure if this has changed now. That was in Sri Racha office, Chonburi.

Walking around Sukhumvit I used to see a break in the traffic and think I can make it! I can make it! now I think do I want to risk my life to save 30 seconds? Which makes me wonder if pedestrian deaths have gone down at all.
Well, you'll chance of dying that way certainly has!

There we see it, Thailand will not do or say anything when they see horrendous international law violations, outrageous immoral actions and behaviour and unspeakable international political actions.
Just nothing from Thailand because they can't see how to make money from supporting the legal, moral and proper political position.
Don't want to risk offeding prospective Russian tourists or condo buyers. Funny. I thought that Saudi and Middle East were going to save the tourism. So the price of T14's and fighter jets will have come down now for other despots to buy.

No more of these vaccines for me. I've had the 2 they told me to get.
For me to have another one - I need some evidence that it is going to be beneficial to me.
Three makes most over 60s up to 50 times less likely to die or become seriously ill. That's good enough for me. What more do you want? This is an evolving situation. That means that we continue to develop new data and improve things. You need to watch the movie "Don't look up.!"

Seat belts and airbags might have had some ameliorating effect. Hope all were compliant. Oh dear! Looks a right mess. Seems the MB veered towards the well stationary Honda at speed with no sign of slowing or emergency braking.. Inclined to agree with possible/probable distraction in the M.B.

Why? Why would the police be interested in a photo of nothing more than a man holding a helmet that is widely available here in Thailand? How could a photo such as that show that he was a thief or that what he was holding was stolen property? What about all the others who have the same helmet, should they be accused of thieving or possessing stolen property also?
On that basis, the police would be entitled to enquire how someone came across such a helmet and it does have a unique identifying mark, known only to myself and the police. Providing the helmet has not been repainted, I would know it right away. QED?

So, just a random guess here..... But you are not a dog lover, then???

Would he be able to prove that the person holding the helmet was the thief or that the helmet he was holding was the OP's considering that those helmets are widely available here and probably don't have VINs or registration numbers?
Holding the helmet might show his face. Then if you are rich enough or have the proper connections, you could contact the police.

I am complaining about a senior policeman warning people about something so obviously stupid as firing a bullet in the air; the chances of injury/death is tiny. I draw a parallel with the lack of action on the roads. As you are a dog owner your intellect is obviously below average so get one of your neighbours to explain this logic.
Perhaps you could explain your logic of dog owner's intellect. By your own definition, if you are right then you must also be a dog owner. Touche!

Not sure how "well" he is though given the partying, loss of employment, gambling and the thai partner.
Presumably it is an improvement on bein missing, possibly dead. No mention in the above part report of his immigration status.

Top prosecutor in Red Bull heir hit and run case dismissed from service

If all the charges in the Red Bull case have now expired., then it's just the perfect time to sack him. Job done already. Mission accomplished according to original plan. Safe to come home yet? P.S. The prosecutor possibly doesn't need a salary now anyway.
