  1. No one out there seems to understand my situation (many people are anorexic but I'm the opposite! They can't identify with my disorder and I know I'm all alone in this problem.

Actually, you’d be surprised at how many people can relate to you. An eating disorder is an eating disorder, regardless if it’s going in or coming out. A small percentage of disorders are due to hormonal imbalance, but many are due to psychological issues which manifest through eating habits. Family conflicts, strained relationships, abuse, etc may all play a part, with such issues as control, identity, and self-esteem arising.

Do not see a GP or regular doctor regarding this issue, as you yourself have experienced, they will most likely prescribe antidepressants (quite often depression is linked with eating disorders). See a psychologist who will advise you on the appropriate therapy, such as behaviour modification or other counselling techniques. All the best. :o

  2. Just picture it yourself... A guy dressed as a success in life, well groomed... gold Rolex and expensive camera in his hand, or the same guy dressed in overalls, hair a mess with a screwdriver in his hand... How does he look most attractive to 'most' women??

If he’s got great big bulging :o muscles and nothing on under those overalls, I know which one I’d choose :D:D. When it comes to raw sex appeal the workman look will win, the diet coke ad is a perfect example of this, along with male strippers, like Chippendales, using this look in their shows. :D

  3. a very nice Australian girl with huge tits
    :D
of course it could just be the tits

Nah, the rest of the package is pretty good. :D:D

Is this a phaze I'm going through or have I come to realize that in three years, I haven't found what I need in a Thai girl?

Scampy, I’d say you were broadening your horizons :o. We all get disheartened in the game of love and by limiting oneself you only run the risk of never meeting that “special” someone. There are many wonderful women all over the world – enjoy yourself. :D

  4. Is it really “hypocrisy” :D? It all depends if the old buggers making the snide remarks are doing it themselves. Honestly, if you’re happy with the situation, then who gives a toss? Be proud. I’ve been on the arm of a man twice my age and didn’t care less what people thought – so if the woman doesn’t mind nor should you. In regards to money, sure, it can buy plenty of things – it just depends on which ones you want to buy and which ones you believe can be bought. :o

  5. Where abouts is this Brit coub on soi thong lor? Newly opened? is this the same place as the brit club that used to be on Petchburi road?? ha...maybe Thong lor is getting all cool and hip to hang out in again...

I think the "Brit Club" you refer to on New Petchburi Road is actually the Old England Students Association - it's still there.

Not to be confused with either the British Club on Surawong

That’s the only Brit club I know and there are plenty of poms there :D. Actually, it’s a lovely place and Britstock was thoroughly enjoyable.

But what sort of crowd does The Queens Arms attract?

    A smelly one. :o:D

  6. The best experienced waxers I found were the girls in a salon off of Khao San rd, right hand side walking toward the temple, in a small alley that goes off to the right opposite a second hand book store, and very reasonable prices, used to cost me 600 Baht for full legs, underarms and bikini.

I once tried a place off Khao San (not near the temple), I couldn’t fault their work however privacy was not their forte :o. I ended up going to a salon in my local Central – they did the job.

  7. how long is "life" in Aust?

Life is usually 20 years however a judge can order a longer term to be served.....due to their age I would suggest that they will be shown some leniency....Unfair yes....thats the way it is though

Life imprisonment (in general) is normally 20 years, non-parole, however this is depended on subsection 3 (of the act) – so in the case of murder it is 25 years non-parole.

  8. "Ong-Bok - Thai Warrior" is playing at movie theatres in the States now.

Also playing in oz theatres and receiving rave reviews. The protagonist doesn’t use any wires and does all the stunts himself. I watched an interview with him and he was inspired by Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li, which can evidently be seen. Tony Jaa is amazing in this role and it’s hard to believe that once in his life he was only a stunt double in Mortal Combat (which is amazing when compared to the acting in that movie :D ).

Bridget Jones' diary PT 2 is mainly shot here... it is not very good though...
Thailand was a fragment of the novel and was exponentiated in the movie. However, Colin Firth was as sexy as ever grrrrr.
That was one..there was another on the same theme 'Bangkok Hilton'

I loved the miniseries and thought Nicky (along with the remainder of the cast) did a great job :o .

  9. My favourite carrier, Singapore Airlines works out at $1200 including all taxes.

That's interesting, I'm paying the same amount but departing from Melbourne, but I'm flying over easter (possible reason for discrepancy). I do remember Flight Centre imposing some "increases" when I purchased my ticket, however can't remember what they were for (just handed over my credit card without asking questions :o).

  10. One thing I liked about Cleo, though, is she sure as he11 didn't repress any of her own desires.  :D

Repress one’s desires? :o In this day and age that has to be a joke :D. I might be getting a bit ahead of myself :D, but suppression of desire never results in satisfaction – which (as I understand it) is the main goal for everyone :D.

p.s: I enjoyed Geisha, purely as a novel – it helped kill the hours in an enjoyable way :D.

  11. Collingwood are bringing out a new bra! Plenty of support, soft and no CUP!!!

Reckon Eddie's wife will be wearing one of them? :D :D

Q: What are Collingwood’s chances of getting off the bottom of the ladder?

A: Buckley’s and none. And Buckley’s injured. (Very true at the moment :o)

Q: What is Eddie McGuire’s best chance at a new flag?

A: When Australia becomes a republic.

Q: What is a Collingwood fan’s worst nightmare?

A: The all-too-real threat of the existence of a third Rocca.

Collingwood have appointed a new assistant coach from China. His name is Winwun Soon :D:D

  12. After doing a quick google on her name it seems she may have died in Goa in 2002. Very sad, if true. Anyone know for sure?

I read the same thing about her passing away. :D

What do you ladies think of Cleo Odzer's book Patpong Sisters? There's nothing else like it, really.
I really enjoyed Patpong Sisters, however found it read more like a non-fictional novel rather than an academic piece of writing (that’s me being pedantic). However, I commend her for broaching the subject (at that time and place) as a woman. I doubt a male could have established the same rapport. Obviously things down Patpong have changed, but it would be interesting to see to what extent in comparison to Cleo’s observations. If I had more time I’d love to do it (have already befriended quite a few girls there) :D:D.
I particularly liked her comment about Thai feminists that she met at a conference - they thought prostitutes were "immoral" not because they slept with guys for money, but because they slept with more than one guy.

I do find the “immoral” issue interesting. If it’s a case of notches on the bed, then quite a few of us would be deemed as scarlet women :D:D. I recently watched a documentary about what defines a woman as a “slut”. The literature on the area is growing and it’s quite fascinating what men and in particular other women think. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. :o

  13. Few ladies who met me down in Pattaya for a TV Meet - were mistaken as working ladies from Russia.

    :o Forgot about that.

Same thing has happened in Bangkok, but less aggressively.

I’m unfortunate to have a Russian name, which is also the term used to refer to Russian prostitutes in Turkey – that explained the big smile on the men’s faces when I’d introduce myself. :D

  14. Ok, I'm posting this here because I bet the women of the forum have more experience at this than any other group.

I've got a Thai bf who is, let us say, "all boy."  This extends to a love of clothing which has outlived its natural lifetime, by any normal definitions I would use.  He has this one ratty pair of jeans held together by threads and a prayer, which just manage to avoid showing anything completely indecent when he wears them in public- which he LOVES to do- still, they show a fair bit of boxer shorts from the back.

What tactics have you found work to get rid of embarrassing favorite old clothing like this?

    "Steven"

Conditioning usually does the trick. Buy a new pair of jeans and pair them with positive reinforcement ie. "You look great in those"; "ooh you look soooo sexy in those grrrr" etc :D (not only from yourself but coerce others to remark upon them also). It’ll be a great ego boost and with all the flattery before you know it your partner would’ve forgotten all about those old jeans. :o

  15. I have been reading posts on here and elsewhere and have a couple of questions which I hope someone can answer.

1 - If you teach illegally surely the authorities would come down on you if they found  out.  Do they?

2 - What are the pros and cons of teaching illegally.

    Thanks in advance

Answer to the first question: Depends upon the institute you’re working for – it’s up to them to hide or conceal your employment.

Regarding the second question: the Pro is that the students receive the education they’re entitled to (sometimes) :o . The Con is that you (don’t) get caught. All the best (but think that the students deserve the legit thing). :D
