  1. Poor woman!!

Walking home after dinner and getting killed by a speeding Thai idiot!!

By an idiot. Nationality makes no difference.

License plate Kor Por 0139 indicates to me that this particular idiot was Thai.
Wow, you are good. I have a Thai license plate on my truck to, and you know what? I'm not Thai.

Just look at the figures in countries handing over their people to the USA and vice versa.. you will see what I mean.

They simply must not turn him over. Even a foreigner would get refugee status over this with Thailand's current situation.

Typical American reaction.. hand us over anyone we want.. but vice versa.. no no no.

    Real arrogant attitude.

I can still remember the Dutch people ticked in the US and extradited. The Netherlands should never again send anyone to the US untll they clean up their act.

    .

Typical Dutch arrogance: assume facts not in evidence, and make unwarranted attacks on other posters.

    NeverSure never said other countries should hand over everyone the US government demands;

NeverSure is not the US government. So don't blame him for the sins of his government.

    Remember the killer Amanda Knox.

Not saying the US should hand over everyone to Thailand... but in ways of treaties and such.. the USA is severely lacking.

    Of course you mean

Remember Amanda Knox found innocent and released and returned home? How many times do they get to torture someone by dragging one into court and when found innocent just start it all over again. The Italians are showing they have not become civilized since they had innocents thrown to the lions in the colluseums. What a disgusting lot. Boycott Anything Italian. No more Italian anything .bah.gif

    Typical Dutch arrogance???

You realy don't have a clue, do you?

  3. If you buy a Thai calendar, it will tell you the holidays :-)

    Afook, you are right!

So many people can use the internet and there so called smart phone, but still can not read a calender.

    Just wondering!

  4. This is from the local press back home in the UK (Newcastle upon Tyne area to be specific) - also, scroll down towards the bottom for the initial article. Makes for curious reading, especially with the lad being on benefits :-

(As a slight aside, most people including my family would not know you needed a visa or a visa waiver stamp for Thailand, let alone that you could overstay.)

It look like the benefits in th UK are very good! Traveling to Thailand 4 times a year.

Man I hate it that I was born in the wrong country and had to work for my money.

  5. We just went on quite a long tour. If I had 100B for every bike we encountered in 5 days without a functioning rear light I would be a millionaire. There is clearly a fundamental design fault on all bikes when it comes to rear lights. OK I know there are decrepit old machines on the road. Surely not above the wit of Honda/Yamaha/Suziki etc to come up with a rear light design that functions? Oh and we drove from Korat to Khon Khaen at 18.30. Again if I had 100B for every driver cannot even turn on the side lights in the pitch dark .........Maybe why Issan is in Conflagration Mode...Don't need road lights as we have bonfires?

Only the rear light? Come on, just drive around when it's dark sometime. There are a lot of people drving around without lights at all, and not only motorbikes.

  6. Thanks everyone for their opinions. I actually have to give up many things when I came here. I actually manage a mobile phone shop, a karaoke which I shared with a classmate and an Inn which is a family business. All my friends said I was blinded and stupid. I'm here on tourist visa and often do visa runs to Laos just to extend my visa. I know im stupid but I just feel that I had to do something.

Would you believe she said her whole family will die eventually because my gf is not working? Who would buy into that sort of crap? Her mum has hands and legs, she can work, not drinking "whiskey white" until she mumbles crap until she sleeps.

You have a tourist visa and you are putting all your money in a little store?

Please OP, read thevstories on tv and every other website. You are to young to waste your life.

  7. What's the reason for wanting a Thai passport?

My daughter now 12 had one and it never got used in visits. It's a complete waste of money,

If you can't get a visa to stay in Thailand then how would your daughter stay there?

Save your time & money & use her British passport & get her visas as yours.

A lot of Brits who have Thai offspring thinks it's cool or the 'done thing' to have both passports but as I said it's pointless.

You can go & stay a far more places with British.

Complete waste of time & money.

  8. Thailand does not allow duel nationality.

So for her to get a Thai passport, she would have to relinquish her UK passport.

Surely a UK passport has more value than a Thai passport.

This is answered by other form members already, but I still like to reply.

Pattaya28, please don't post anything that you don't have a idea about.

My son has two pasports, Dutch and Thai.

I love tv because I can find information that I need. People like you make it verry hard to get the information needed.

So, please don't post anny BS.

    Thank you.

  10. You got to love this new Greek government for standing up to the Germans and defy their austerity program which is sinking the once leading continent on people's rights and social welfare, into poverty.

I watch a documentary few weeks back from 2012. When EU and IMF aided Greece with 130 billion euros(80/30 bio), 98.2 cents out of every euro went straight to German and French banks.
Give the link to this documantary, and than we can agree to disagree.

does the dutch ambassy give statements too and do they ask for proof ??

The Dutch embassy gives a statement of income, but you have to fill in yourself how much. You don't need to show any proof.

There is also a possibility to do do it by mail, but if you live in a part of Thailand where the mail is not trustworthy you'd better go to the embassy in person. I always go to Bangkok myself for that reason (och, het is een leuk jaarlijks uitje!).

I just send for a proof of income to the Dutch embassy, ems, got it returned to me, by ems, in 6 days.

No proof needed anymore. But make sure you have original papers to proof income when you go see immigration.

    The reason for this is that on the form the Dutch embassy gives is this line;

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands accepts no responsibility for the contents of this document.
