Good luck!! I applied for a 2 week holiday visa for my wife. Despite being married 4 years,my mother living in surrey,me owning a 300K house,having over 100 K in UK bank and having over 10 milloin in thai bank and owning 2 property here ,they said no!! The reason they said was my wife didnt have substantial money in her own account for 6 months and she might not have enough money to support herself,even though i stated that the trip would cost nothing as i was paying for it and my mother also wrotea letter confirming she would pay if need be!!

Trying again in a month but not holding my breath !!

Most of my friend here are thai. I have about 4 farangs i would class as friends,all therest are just people i know to meet when im out in a bar or restaurant. I prefer to hang out drinking with thais compared to farangs as they seem more fun and they dont just sit about talking as if they are the best thing since sliced bread.Too many people i see in bars seem to think they are Mr Big until they get beat up by someone half their size!

I have the box and paperwork from my omega i bought in siam paragon. if i was leaving the country for good it would not be difficult to buy a fake of the same watch and sell it it the original box.Think this is what the guy has done,paid for an expensive watch and then got most of his money back by puting a fake in the box of the original watch and floging it to this guy.

As far as i know your partner cannot claim anything you owned in thailand before you were married if you can prove you paid for it.

Am not sure but i think i get charged 7-8% tax and thais just pay 2%. Hence why my wifes name will be going in it and not mine! I aint bloody paying that again if i sell it.This was done at the government office.

I recently borrowed some money from a local thai and put my house as guarentee incase i didnt pay it back.

When i added his name to the title they charged 90000bht tax although my name was still in the deed and now to remove his name they want 37000bht!! Is this just a farang con??

The cost to change a name in a car is only about 2000bht!!
