  1. the news is, this article is from "Tue Dec 3, 2013 6:21PM GMT".

it comes from the iranian government news agency based in tehran - the bastion of democracy.

thanx very much for heads up, editors, and for my lost time

Nonsense ! The fact that it comes from an Iranian website is irrelevant. It comes from a journalist based in Bangkok and reiterates what the same journalist said on the Landgrabber website. This is the truth from someone who lives here, not some nonce thousands of miles away who can't be bothered to research the facts. It is a very knowledgable and well written article that I believe to be the truth. Keep it up Tony !

I would still like to know how Cartalucci's opinion is truth and wisdom, and Nostitz's one was considered red propaganda.

If we still have some balance we would say they are the two paladin's of two sides. Both of them based in Bangkok, both of them biased in the opposite direction. Nothing more than that.

  2. Tony Cartalucci ??? Who is thsi? A friend of Silvio Berlusconi? Too much alcohol already? Or just to near to Suthep??

Tony Cartalucci is nothing more than the yellow counterpart of the German journalist and photographer that was lynched for weeks on this forum (Nick Nostitz)...

There are lots of articles on the net where you can clearly see his bias smile.png

  3. This is doing my head in now.

It changes every bloody couple of hours, they are off, they are on, they are off again.

Get this bunch out and replaced with someone that knows what the hell they want.

This makes Thailand look a joke to the entire world.

Wouldn't it make sense to get rid of the whole lot of corrupt Shizens and re start with people like Korn. No families from any side involved, especially running the job from abroad.

I agree... If only would be possible a reform where any subject involved in corruption or abuse of power would be excluded by politics on a life term, would be a great thing...

But sincerely, I think even my kids in their life will not see that. Sadly.

  4. This article and several of the responses are simply typical of the mentality that pervades this country. Politics create the environment that we all have to co-exist in and Yingluck's son is no different than any other son in this country. However he does represent the fruit of the poisoned tree which is a condition the Shiniwatra's have brought down on their own head through the years of political malfeasance , outright corruption and their masquerade of omnipotence. It is a fact of life that children will always have to bear to some extent as to the actions of their parents .

I see no threat of any consequence being made to this over privileged little lad only that owing to the actions of his parents and her entourage that his environment may well have to change.

For you and all the others that commented:

If you do something wrong at job, and your boss argue at a meeting that if you do that again, your son will have to fell hungry because his dad will be sacked, how you will feel?

For God sake. Put a boy in a freaking political context is a total distortion and out of context.

Then if for you all it's good, no problem. Maybe I am the one that think it was unfair, and totally disgusting. I will keep my idea.

  5. Well, sure the "retired"s will have a voice for Suthep, but they are not appointed besides influent.

And finally there is no speculations about who was behind the "Fool" and why he continued to push on.

We all knew he had an important back up and now we know who are them (or at least we know some of them).

Next move to all the appointed authorities.

Like a chess game, but with well more important and maybe tragic consequences.

@backtonormal, why to put shame on some posters? We all can have ideas... There's nothing to be ashamed of.

  6. Nida... a very impartial source, I'd say!

    Try this newcomer :

MORE LIES FROM INTERNATIONAL NEW YORK TIMES

Yawn... I am not interested to read about Thaksin. I am against Thaksin.

I want the crooks like Thaksin and Suthep far from the power in Thailand.

Suthep promised to go out of politics and all his peoples government get a 5 year politics ban after finish their job for 14 month to ensure there is no self serving idea.

Oh my gosh... you are free to believe that. But I see that like a story, like many stories he made in the past, and the ways he avoided prosecution.

So, I don't give him a hint of trust, especially reading his daily rants.

  7. There you idiots go talking about the 'democratically elected' darlings again. Who then proceeded to break laws, piss on the constitution and they couldn't give a rats ass about 'democracy' - until the protestors, now they are hiding behind 'democracy' and the constitution just to try and make it to the 180 day mark and ram through the fugutive's amnesty. Let's have some truth here and less of the bullshit rhetoric, please !

Maybe if you would avoid to insult other posters, someone could go on to read your posts.

But oh well, insult whoever has a different idea from you, classifies you well.

@ newcomer. One could extrapolate from your post that you're satisfied with the former government although you've failed to address how you and tingtonteedood differ in that respect. "Classifies you well" tells me nothing as does the rhetoric in his post which I don't see pointed squarely at you.

Lets try to address the issues . There are many here on the forum who aren't so polarized as the two of you.

I was referring to "idiot" given for free to anyone who has a different idea from him.

I am not polarized and extremist at all, given I wish to see disappear both the Shin clan and Super Suthep.

  8. I am not living here for 30+ years, but enough to tell I am settled down.

I also have family, 2 kids to raise up and hope this country can give them a good future.

Of course I won't move from here, if not forced to do.

(I don't have a visa forever (???) but I would like to have one).

All Suthep is trying to do is make people think he want to do something for Thailand, but sure he still not said a WORD about what he will do in REAL for Thailand, except put his ass on the command chair and try to get all advantages he can, included absolute power.

And don't tell me: if he do that people will protest and he will have to go away. Look at the Shin clan, how long they have been there?

So I respect your opinions, but I sure not agree with them. Plus I feel is funny how you talk with others like they (and me in this case) don't care about Thailand.

I care about it, as I love this country, so: reforms are welcome and necessary. Suthep is a cancer as Thaksin.

I meant not to insinuate that you "don't care about Thailand".

    I never said that.

Give this a read and think about it,

Thanks for your reference again, but as I posted you in another place, NIDA is what's most close to Suthep, Yellow Shirts and Democrats. I will pass on it smile.png

And I guess we don't have much more to talk about this topic, because it's clear we have totally different ideas and both of us won't change them smile.png

  9. If you want to get stuck on this one point that is immaterial, that's up to you.

Just sayin'. Changing the government will mean changing the people who make up the immigration rules. Don't be surprised if backing Suthep will backfire for Farangs, he isn't exactly all open arms to foreigners. Immigration is the only material point that I relate to, others are Thais own business.

I for one have been here for 30+ years.

I have family and interests here.

I will live here for the rest of my life.

    I have a visa forever.

    Your problems are your problems.

Thailand's problems are my problems too.

I am not living here for 30+ years, but enough to tell I am settled down.

I also have family, 2 kids to raise up and hope this country can give them a good future.

Of course I won't move from here, if not forced to do.

  11. Ever hear of the term 'arbitrary execution'? There are many ways to 'rationalize' the use of lethal force but there is no way to legitimize it.

They were warned. These people were terrorists and the govt. allowed the army to remove them.Once the army was fired upon the army did what armies do.When the public take up arms it becomes legit.which will be borne out if it ever gets to court.

You are sure all 90 people were terrorists, right? And nurse killed inside temple during her duties should have been home right?

  12. Let's imagine a Thailand without Suthep and his demonstration:

    1) Dr T is back and cleared of all wrongdoings

    2) His confiscated money is returned to him with %

    3) 2.2 trillion loan is ready and waiting for further instruction to which private account to transfer it.

    4) senators are wifes and family members of lower house MPs which means that whatever party get's the majority of votes have no one to be accountable to.

    5) Dr T can run for PM, or maybe since the constitution can be amended any way the goverment wants, for even more lucrative position.

Now if there were no protestors and no Suthep Thailand would be half way there as we speak. Does that sound democratic to you? Why are you pretending that there is a democracy in thailand and protestors are ruining it?

The system is broken and needs to be changed to ensure the voted in goverment abides by the rule of law. You might not like Suthep and his buddies i don't like him ether but is there anyone else offering change? Seriously, anyone?

And the staff he says about the police is just too good not to likebiggrin.png .

Offering change and effecting change are vastly different. Nothing Suthep is offering resembles democracy. He moans and groans about the amnesty. Here is a person evading an arrest warrant and he failed to show up in court to face a murder indictment because 'he is too busy'. Rule of law? Who needs amnesty when the crooks who stay in the country can act with impunity? It all boils down to whose bread you are buttering. If Suthep can't get the military to enforce his PDRC, what is he going to do? In the meantime, every academic will crawl out of the woodwork to offer the 'best' solution for Thailand. Get on with the elections! After the elections, call for a Constitutional Convention. The mechanics of the Constitutional Convention can be worked out after the elections.

Yes, lol, the mechanics of a Constitutional Convention can be worked out after the elections. 55555555. ...by the majority. That just sounds like an absolutely swell idea!

You must have just gotten off the latest telcon with Dubai. Well, you do get points for being a good listener.

Thaivisa official sport is: label whoever has a different idea from you a Thaksinist... :D

  13. Reform the government to reduce corruption?

    Restructure the policeforce ?

How can anyone argue this doesnt need to be done?

There is an oportunity here for all Thais (reds yellows greens...)to change things for the better. Lets hope the Thai people see this with a little more clarity than many of the posters here.

It's not hard to understand: believe me.

Many posters here are not against changes and/or sent Thaksin out of this country for good.

But these changes are at least not much plausible with such a despotic delusional.

I still want to know his plans for achieve what he is promising. And also who met him until now have still to know...

  14. So let's say: (it's an example, don't get me wrong).

You have been kidnapped by a crazy criminal, the worst of all.

Your wife (or your family, up to you) let another criminal (less dangerous maybe but still a criminal) giving him full power, after he promises to her he will solve the problem and in some time you will be free again.

Yep, you still have more chance to be safe, but how many?

You are correct, i will choose the option that gives me at least a chance of survival.

Hum, so no hope to see you saved by Police, or Government Forces?

By the way I understand it's your opinion, and I respect it, besides I am totally not for the risk of see Mighty Suthep doing of this country whatever he likes.

I wish there would be a knight in shining armor riding his white stallion to save my sorry behind, but being realistic and knowing royal thai police i see no other options. If suthep does nothing better then balance out Shin clan so Thai politics are not so onesided it would be a step forward for Thailand in my opinion.

I understand what you say, and no... I did not mean Thai Police (I was still referring at your hypothetical case, in your country or wherever else :)

But in any case, for someone Suthep can be a hope. I don't see it like it, because the sea of nonsense and his total non-transparency a bout his "plans" (if he has any...).

Thailand needs a step forward, and not with a megalomaniac that yesterday at the meeting with professionals and economic vip said if they agree with him good, if not just stay away and don't disturb his Council. Worrying, a lot.

  15. And who do you expect to fight a man who can order a killings of thousands of Thai innocent people, deploy large private paid militia force in the heart of BKK for months, got every law inforcement institution in his pocket? Someone with no power or backbone? I have not seen him concentrate the power in one hands like his opponents try to do. Time might prove me wrong but right now you are comparing a clearly rotten apple to one that might prove to be rotten so excuse me if i will take my chances with the latter.

  16. I thought HM passed a decree stating elections Feb 2 and Yingluck would remain as caretaker, why is this go showing so much disrespect?

Somebody very strong and high ranked is behind this, Suthep can pass HM and overrule a royal decree, this (Suthep) Hitler of Asia has a lot off power. ! Scary to hear that high ranked police and army want to talk with him. They turn the clock 30 years back.
