  1. I recently had a similar problem. Couldn't find my original blue book. You can only get a replacement and as the dealer said expect the value of your car to drop. Private buyers are wary also. I was lucky. My broker kept saying they had returned it to me. My original blue book was eventually found at DLT and returned to me when the broker asked for a replacement.
  2. Years ago I remember meeting a few american contractors in Saudi who had rental wives. They had an official marriage to enable the wife to get a Saudi visa but a private agreement on how long this paid marriage would last.
  3. Having been married to one for over 2 decades and know of 2 other farangs within 60 km of me also married to pharmacists its not impossible to meet or date them. However me excluded they tend to mix with professionals their level or above. There's also lot of unmarried pharmacists either career girls or left it too late to marry. Suggest asking around if she's married or in a relationship. Adding line is a good idea. Don't expect to jump into bed the 1st date. You'll possibly find she'll bring a friend "chaperone" the first few dates.
  4. Why do you continue to talking rubbish. As the holder on an Elite visa I can assure you a re-entry permit is not required. I leave for however long and upon return receive a 1 year entry stamp.
  5. Wrong...elite visa holders come and go without the need for a re-entry permit.
  6. In my province residence certs are free and done while you wait if accompanied by a request letter from DLT. No probs renewing my drivers licence with yellow book less than a year ago.
  7. From what she was saying it was money in her hand. Can only imagine her generous sponsor covered other expenses.
  8. Overheard conversation. An occasional part-time maid was all smiles. She received 500baht to apply as a candidate. Another 1,000 baht to be selected plus another 1,000 baht to vote for a preferred candidate.
  9. This is quite common. It takes time for the hospital to receive funding for new employees. Most hospitals will advance pay from hospital funds until the new employees funding is approved and arrives.
  10. I had a 90 day reject a month ago. This info was given to me. This is the process on how to do the ONLINE 90-day Report or Notification (TM47). Before you actually use your mobile phone or computer to do the online reporting, there are few things you need to do first: This reporting has to be the SECOND 90-day reporting or later on your current visa or visa extension of stay. This is important. You have to report in person or by mail on your current visa or visa extension once in the past before you can do an online report. If you have not done so, please report in person or by mail this time.
  11. Before buying a map it could be worthwhile checking if your device is region restricted. I checked with a garmin dealer. My garmin drivesmart 60 purchased in Australia is region restricted and won't accept garmin thai maps. I did find a 3rd party thai map that works as a map but street names etc are gobbledygook. It works fine with middle east and European maps. I've read in the past there's been disagreements between the Thai garmin map supplier and garmin.
  12. I use IPVanish. Just tried williamhill. Wouldn't open their website using Firefox. Had to connect to the UK and use google to access the website. I couldn't entet the website as it says I'm using a data center and it says i cant use a data center as they need to check if I can legally gamble in my location.
  13. Might be worth checking if this is a scam or someone's mistaken. There was a senior PEA official on the Thai news (workpoint 23 i recall) yesterday apologising for not notifying they had changed the format and colours of their bills.
  14. Overnight parking available. As you enter theres a free non secure carpark on your right with a 150 metre walk along the road to the terminal. Across from the terminal is a secure 150 baht a day carpark which I regularly use for 3 or 4 day stays.
