  1. I've been officially invited to tomorrows afternoon session.  I registered via expatvac 05 august.

I have family members assisting with the vaccination process so I know for sure its happening.

    Keep your hopes up.

  2. Theres a big expat Pfizer vaccination day tomorrow 1st September in the vaccination hall at the park on the lake.

I believe names from expatvac and others, some of whom registered with their local clinics are being contacted. Morning and afternoon sessions.

This is the 1st Pfizer expat allocation vaccination program as it only arrived late last week.

  3. Wife sent some durian to a friend in Bkk last week. The friend got a call and were asked to collect it from the flash depot or it would sit there and spoil. They were also asked not to send anything perishable until the backlog was cleared

They saw a huge backlog of parcels. The guy explained they had a lot of staff in covid quarantine.

I also have lazada items sitting in Best and Flash Bkk distribution centres for the past week.

  4. Obtained my thai 2 year licence earlier this month upcountry.

Immigration wouldn't issue a residence cert unless until I did my 1st 90 day report and had a request from DLT.

DLT looked at my licence and IDP then issued a letter requesting residence cert from immigration. Took 20 minutes.

With DLT request Immigration issued a residence cert free. Took 30 minutes.

Doctors cert took 10 minutes and cost 100 baht.

Made copies of passport, licence, IDP and took them along with residence cert and Drs cert to DLT.

Only required to do colour, reaction and 2 white sticks depth perception test.

Back to counter and paid 215 baht. Photo taken and licence issued. Time at DLT about 45 minutes.

Absolute nonsense, where did you dream that figure from?

Please do not insult me by saying that is correct, i am married to a  grade 8, she has over 30 years in her job, and does not take home that amount.

Dont feel insulted. Maybe she's in a different field. I'm also married to a grade 8 in the medical field and her take home pay is that.

Tricky one as importing, you could well be opening a can of worms with those Customs boys and quality could be an issue too. My experience of getting stuff fabricated in Thailand is that unless you are extremely lucky to find an accommodating fabricator who can work from a drawing/spec, nearly all of them will only want to copy something that you physically bring to them............

I discovered even if you find a good one the welders around my area want silly money for build stuff. They charge by the metre and going rate seems to be 700 Baht a metre.

Recently wanted a workbench made. Quoted 7k Baht just for the frame.  I bought all the materials plus welder and made the complete bench myself for less than that.

I'm in Quarantine  in Bkk as we speak & due to be leave on the 29th , I live in a village around 50km from chiang rai & will fly to cr from bkk,

Surely someone who has done the mandatory  14 days quarantine  then fly to cr doesn't  then have to do another 14 days quarantine  THATS CRAZY

I did my ASQ early January. On departure they require your next address for the ASQ completed letter. That gets forwarded to your local covid team who will contact you on arrival.

In my case contacted my wife prior to my arrival. They also took the details of my driver on leaving ASQ. I had to send daily photos of my temp to their line account for 14 days.

  8. Cant give you a price as it was included in the build price.

The roofing is PU FOAM. It seems to be delivered in the lengths you order. Those sheets were 10 metres long and come with about 3 cm aluminium covered insulation foam.

  9. This is my newly built 8 metre deep x 9 metre wide garage area with no centre pole.

Beams across are spaced 1 metre apart with the strengthened double beam mid way.

Lengthways they are 2.5 metres apart.
