Did you isolate for 14 days? Were you monitored? Who checked on you? The people I know quarantined in Bangkok, then came to Pattaya and conducted there life, business, work and pleasure as normal.

A representative of my local covid monitoring team showed up prior to my arrival requesting passport etc details about me. The ASQ or whoever the department is they report to had sent my details through.

Since arrival I send daily thermometer reading pics via LINE to the monitoring team. I've been told they could insist upon a daily visit to take my temp but we are familiar to the person responsible for monitoring me.

Did thailand take into consideration that most tourists wont come because not only quarantine in thailand but quarantine on the their home country.

Dont think many fancy 3 or 4 weeks of annual leave in quarantine hotels.

Add to that certain provinces are enforcing an additional 14 day home quarantine upon arrival from thai virus hot spots.

Why issue a traveller with a CoE paper copy at all? Just have an online version sent to immigration at the passenger's final destination. No CoE in situ, no entry. OK, no CoE at point of departure but would anyone buy a ticket if they knew there was no CoE for them on arrival?

This obsession with bits of paper and multiple copies of this and that just makes Immigration's job that much more complicated than it needs to be.

If you get rid of that there's also the other bunch of docs in the folio you need to show at check-in and departure lounge and then again on arrival and at the ASQ.

COE, ASQ booking, covid insurance, PCR certificate and Fit to Fly cert plus maybe health insurance depending on visa type.

  4. What they don't mention is the possibility of an additional 14 days home quarantine after your 15 night ASQ stay. As I and a couple of others I know are currently experiencing in a number of provinces.

These are local regulations some provinces have introduced and not listed on the TAT website as requirements.

I'm here because I wanted to be here. I cant imagine tourists wanting to endure 4+ weeks of quarantine just for a holiday.

  5. We're currently building with around 280 sqm floor tiles being laid as I type. Its all part of the deal but we upgraded our contract spec tiles to larger better quality ones. There's a mix of smooth internal and non-slip for balconies.

The tiler is working alone and its taking time. He did have another with him when they were doing the bathrooms. We asked why he was working alone. He said he didn't trust his helper with the more expensive tiles we bought. ????

  6. I cant confirm this but I just asked a visiting foreign worker employment agent relative. They said a new law was released yesterday requiring all visa renewals from today to have a covid test.

They said covid tests are available in Ubon for B 4,500 and bangkok B 3,200.

Immigration was also asking them for B100k per foreign worker visa renewal.

  7. After your 15 nights quarantine don't forget depending on the province you travel too, as a couple of us who have just completed ASQ and traveled to separate provinces discovered, you could be required to undergo a further 14 days home quarantine. This is despite the TAT website listing this as not required in the province.

Prior to leaving ASQ you are required to list an address you will travel to. This is listed on your certificate of ASQ completion. It appears behind the scene this information is forwarded to the medical authorities near the address you list. A follow up team then makes contact soon after your arrival.
