The freight numbers shocked me as well
Many airlines are keeping themselves afloat by aggressively converting aircraft for freight, in point of fact I just read an article on KLM's freight strategy.
TG just has an inbuilt ability for incompetence. Real airlines are converting capital assets to move freight to generate revenue.
TG is moving aircraft seats to donut shops!
THAI is also converting passenger aircraft to freight. Just watched a documentary on TV about the process focusing on a THAI plane.

15 years ago I flew THAI internationally all the time.
Then some genius started pricing the passenger tickets above ALL other air carriers. They were still doing it when the pandemic arrived. Plain stupid. Although I always compared prices I have not purchased a ticket on THAI in 15 years. Its not rocket science.
I am not sure if high prices is the reason. As reported in the article, the airline's passenger load factor was 80% last year. At this point, a regular carrier would already have reached its break-even. So something else seems to be mis-managed.

He also urged restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions, shopping malls, sports stadiums, retail shops, transports, health and beauty centres, exhibition centres, theatres and travel agencies to implement preventive measures, such as setting up Covid-19 screening and hand sanitising checkpoints.
He urged them to set up Covid-19 screening??? Or did he mean temperature screening?

Parents were also warned that giving children razor blades may also be harmful
No, they will only be warned by a competent medical expert once a child has played with razor blades and caused harm.

Yes, the reduction of quarantine to ten days is looking better and better all the time ????
The point is that the infected person is not cantagious anymore after few days and hence the reduction (some studies have shown).

I guess arrivals tested negative intitially before their flight or upon arrival. I am wondering, did they also get infected in the quarantine facilities then?

It might be light from somewhere scattered by the vapor in the atmosphere

Check-in with a driving license and say no passport on hand if asked.

True, I once refused to pay the taxi fare and asked to let me out after I realized there is no possibility to buckle up in the rear seat. As far as I know it is required by law to buckle up in any seat and accidents happen, even with taxis in Bangkok.
Just wondering why they waited for paramedics to arrive and give first aid. Aren't officers trained in first aid?

I rather think the guidance exists already but has just not been followed.

2 hours ago, JusticeGB said:And Anutin wants to reduce the quarantine period to 7 days.
Because studies have shown that after few days (was it 5, 7 or something like that), the infected person is not contagious anymore and therefore the quarantine length could be reduced.

Seems she was set up. I could speculate on the obvious reason, but that would be a conspiracy theory, so won't.
6 hours ago, Asquith Production said:This stinks why did the Police think to raid her place?
I guess this was a so called controlled delivery. The parcel came from abroad, customs flagged the parcel (they often use x-ray and sniffer dogs), handed over to the police who then staged the delivery to make an arrest.

Do you need a test to fly back to your home country?
No, I did not require. But same goes for other nationalities such as Thai who also don't need a test before coming to my home country.

All the symptoms of covid. My wife and son were also incredibly sick but we got through it with mass amounts of antibiotics and everything else. Wasn't like any flu we've ever had before.
So if antibiotics helped to get through then it might not have been a virus (flu or covid).

The main point is he wants the tourists' money to revive the economy. He doesn't care about the tourists themselves.

Quite right. Here is how it works:
1 - The investigator in charge dictates the letter to a police clerk who types it up on a 100-year-old manual typewriter;
2 - The letter then needs to be signed by the investigating officer before being submitted to the police chief for endorsement; which of course can take about 1 - 2 weeks as the police chief always is busy practising his golf game;
3 - The letter then needs to be translated into English, which takes between 6 and 8 weeks;
4 - The English translation must be signed by the investigating officer and endorsed by the chief of police; another 2 weeks down the drain;
5 - A low-level office is dispatched to go buy a postage stamp, which will take him at least 1 day;
6 - a committee researches the actual address of the authority in the U.A.E. to where the letter is to be mailed; time effort: 3 months;
7 - It turns out that the letter's weight is too high for the postage stamp, necessitating another trip to the post office; chalk down 1 more day;
8 - The letter is finally delivered to the post office and sent on its way, taking about 3 days to arrive in Dubai;
9 - As it turns out the U.A.E. addressee has moved to another location in the meantime, with the result that the letter is being returned to Bangkok as "undeliverable"
10 - repeat steps 1 to 8
Sounds pretty much correct...however, they want to send the letter to the UAE embassy in Bangkok I understood.

zoom in on warning lights, seems out to me...
40 minutes ago, Kaopad999 said:Maybe the warning lights at the crossing were not working?
many possibilities...Railway crossings usually have a railway crossing sign which gives the train the right of way in any case, even when signals are not working.
(I know, not in Thailand) It is a basic lesson at driving school to slow down in any case, look left/right before crossing, not to shift gears and not to stop on the tracks.

If infected persons were found among STV tourists, the operation will not proceed to the second phase, or even the third phase that would allow tourists to travel freely, if they are proved to be free from infection.
I understand, if 1 person is found positive, the whole group will need to remain in ASQ for the rest of their stay in Thailand.

I often have the same issue. Annoying. I thought smoking on balconies was banned few months ago?
Yes, that is also very annoying.
I do and smelling it is annoying for me.
