Yeah the portal has been working fine for me too, the URL is the same and the same one I have used for so many times I've lost count. Just this time. For that reason I'm wondering if something in the system got changed either at extension renewal (it's the first 90 Day since then) or when I did the Cert of Residence, either that or something at the staff end. I'll try the app tomorrow if the latest portal attempt fails.

In preparation for (hopefully not) another rejection email I just opened the "IMMe Service" app which I've not used to report before and I notice that, unlike the web online reporting, the app does have a 'TM6 number' question and a 'means of arrival question'. Given the way things work here, makes me wonder if there's some new staffer going through the applications and, because the online application lacks answers to questions that it doesn't ask, has considered the form incomplete? If it bounces again I'll give the app a try and see how it goes before doing the in person trek.

Well that's annoying! Been using online reporting for 90 day reports since I can't recall when. This time I noticed I didn't get the 'report due' reminder email I've been getting previously but I did the report anyway (due in 13 days). Chaeng Wattana (BKK). Filled the online form in EXACTLY as I have filled it in EVERY time before (I even take screen shots so I remember when / where I used upper / lower case etc.) and absolutely nothing was different. Submitted yesterday and I just got a 'Rejected' email giving the reason "Information invalid or incomplete". I have absolutely no idea why or where they consider the information being "invalid or incomplete" as it was filled in exactly the same as last time. Very strange. Just sent off another one with exactly the same information again! Will see how this one goes. I even went back and checked the actual reports that the system sends to them comparing the last and previous, nothing different at all. Nothing has changed since the last report, same address, not left the country. Only two things have happened, renewed my extension and applied for a "certificate of residence". I hope nothing with either of those IO interactions has messed up the address record so that it no longer matches. Hopefully it will get approved this time and I won't have to make a trip out to CW to try and get it sorted so it works again. If it gets rejected again I'll try the app before reverting to manual.

Previously I used to buy Cathedral Cheddar at Villa. Pretty good value, THB 209 for 250g. Now it's THB 320! Switched to Mainland from Makro but as has been mentioned above it's been out of stock for some while, replaced with a pretty bland (albeit cheap) HoReCa cheddar at THB 349 per kilo. I tried as we were out of cheese and I was done on the cheese hunt for that day. At a real push I suppose it's OK for grating onto whatever but it really is bland otherwise. Can't expect much else for the price I guess. Mainland has been out at all the places I shop (and can be bothered to go to) so I'm guessing there's a freighter due soon. I also used to buy Brooke baked beans in preference to Heinz, not much cheaper but a bit. Tasted just as good but again, not seen any for a year or more now, mostly replaced with Watties that are not so nice. Mostly I try to buy from Food Variety via Shopee, it's delivery prices are cheaper than Siamburi mostly.

I'm getting the same annoying "Subscribe to Asian Now" yellow box ad EVERY time I visit the site. There's also no way to select a "Don't ask again" option with it. Getting close to pull the plug time with all this junk.

Ordered several times from them. Never a problem. No duty / VAT on books. Only issue is the generally longer delivery times (3-4 weeks), never bothered me though.

Might be useful unless the Killjoy Squad dream up some hurdle to make it impossible for use unless you are a Thai citizen. Thailand version -4.0 ????

Just by way of an update to this (in case someone comes across this thread, pondering the same questions in the future), still fairly happy with the Dunlopillo Ecstasy mattress we bought aside from one thing. It is fairly significant problem though. It weighs a ton! Or to be precise 200Kg! I knew latex mattresses are heavy but I didn't realise exactly HOW heavy and it's something I forget to physically check in the store. I wrongly assumed it would be about the same as the Omazz Falcohn we had, also latex, and could thus be flipped easily. No way can the Ecstasy be flipped unless you have 3 other guys to help you do it. 2, maybe if they are strong burly guys. The Falcohn here was around THB 80,000 when we were looking, the Ecstasy we got for 40K approx. Were I shopping again, I'd go for the Falcohn for sure, so much so that we are thinking of getting rid of the Ecstasy, selling it second hand while it is still in excellent condition. The weight is THAT much of a PITA.

‘No bikinis’ sign on Samae San Island removed by the Thai Navy

Maybe the tourists wanting to wear bikinis ought to go somewhere where they are more made to feel welcome. Then they bitch and bleat about the lack of tourists and their FAR more important $$$$$$ ???? -
Those looking for local vaccinations sites can download the QueQ mobile phone app and, once registered, you can select 'Vaccination Centres' and it will bring up a list of all the vax sites that are currently active, you can then register / book. It's in Thai so folks that can't read Thai will need assistance from someone that does (not hard to find here though ????). Easier than trawling through the various social media feeds, the CCSA/C19 page also gets updates with new sites as they open up but they too get quickly buried under the update / general info posts (and FB search is pretty erratic in terms of effectiveness).

Beginning of the year I was buying the Cathedral cheddar cheese from Villa. THB 209 for 350g. Surprised me that Villa was then one of the cheapest around for cheddar of decent (enough) quality. Now it's THB 330 for the same pack, a 50% increase in price. It actually makes the imported stuff at Central Food Hall cheaper. I suspect there will be a lot more steep price hikes as old stock runs out and the latest shipments of imports start to hit the shelves.

We can never be sure I suppose but my suspicion is that people who have got away with doing that just got lucky. It does seem strange though, and as I said, when I went to transfer the stamps into my new passport that did check that I had been complying since renewal. Seems odd they'd bother about a few months but then not care about a whole year. If I had to do the change in method again though I'd still take both sets of documents, either that or renew early and be prepared to have to go to Immigration again. For me though, preparing both sets of documents was less less of a PITA than having to go home, start again and go to Immigration a second time.
