  1. I remember there's been a relatively recent change towards this policy.. in places like Kao Yai as resident foreigner you could pay as a Thai. I was surprised last time in Kao Yai couple of years ago had to pay Farang's fare showing work permit, and they told me that that was changed from previous times.
  2. indeed, aka the HUB of brake failure excuses for watching their phones all time
  3. I live in Soi Nana, dozens there staying at the hotels toward the end of the Soi.
  4. Agreed, mine and my family names were in the system so it was always easy to book and we did not have to retype passports numbers. I did book with no issues so many flights pre-covid. Only thing to watch out was to skip the insurance, their web page before final payment was tricky.
  5. I did stay there as Hotel, I think it was 2006 - Breakfast was served in the ship. Here my pics
  6. In Italy one can barely see a cam indoors, and very few outdoors due to very strict and useless "privacy laws". I bet he was relying on this, not knowing that Thailand is monitored by thousands of cams, everywhere, every time. Will soon be busted - expecting to see a good index pointer in front of the BiB

  16. I use Xatral, same indications. Available at pharmacy down Ploen Chit, 950 THB (elsewhere is 1400).
  17. Mayday Fuel is enough as is recorded in the black box and ATC controller is responsible in case of issues.
  18. With still more that 30min of fuel left but burning fast the Pilot can declare "Minimum Fuel" and ATC will TRY to prioritise the clearance to land. With 30min or less, "MAYDAY Fuel" can be declared and any ATC MUST allow the airplane to land (in many cases even at an Army airport), then assessing any needed paperwork later once is safely down. This is what they did - I also see no drama but should have been avoided wit proper paperwork in place
  19. Definitely, thicker envelopes vs. the initial ones
  20. Some thicker brown envelopes are still passing hands
