  1. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/foreign-woman-slips-and-collapses-on-breakwater-wall-at-pranburi-beach They should have known of the dangerous situation created
  2. Ask the Embassy at CRC tower (even via mail)
  3. In the Philippines they shoot, plenty of guns on the roads
  4. Fully agree, my experience too, and I am in LOS since 2012
  5. They are listening too.. days ago I was discussing with a friend which is managing a surf's company in Bangkok. I did just enquire about his job, I do not surf and have no interest in such activity, never checked anything surf related - phone was in my hand. Following day, YouTube reels prompted me surf adv first time ever. Spooking.
  6. Obviously both rigorously with no helmets - and in front of police officers.
  7. The same is happening post covid to Gateway Ekkamai. Mostly of coffee shops are now closed, as well as Educational, Yoga, Toys, stalls. In my view as often happens here in LOS, landlords are trying cover the previous year's losses by doubling rents and tenants just give up. May be the value of the area will eventually justify a luxurious condo vs a relatively old mall and both malls will disappear in some years from now.
  8. Hypoxic blackout, is more common than one thought. Hyper ventilating can be a cause, but also trying to keep the breath while diving.
  9. Cialis used to be called the "weekend pill for married men". Works great and half pill might be very well enough for some fun time
  10. I think the unpaid bills are from foreigners which were transported to the hospital following an emergency e.g. accident, stroke.., not planning to go there for a disease. After life saving treatment the bill is asked and in some cases their funds or credit cards cannot sustain the expense.
  11. Were you just walking or with car/bike/bicycle? In the past I did never had issues while walking, cycling or riding Mototaxi though Raja by the Som Tam or the Mexican restaurant - unlike the Shama passage where the guard on Soi 4 by the ATM was more strict and annoying expecially if coming from Soi 2 to Soi 4 even just walking. With car I understand - they might ask for a park fee or be very strict like Hotel Parinda in the past. Having said this, the main road opening at the end of Soi 4 is very useful to move around soi 4 and soi 2.
  12. Inform the Airline when you will get new number - you might have to pay a fee for change of data. IO will know about your overstay in the past but will not stamp it again on new passport, all should be ok upon arrival.
  13. MRT also mentioned
  14. Just considering, once you get Thai passport, doesn't your child also need US Visa on that passport to travel?
  15. Might be Muslim.. in the article it is mentioned he has 6 kids, 3 with each wives
  16. the Chula Pharmacy between Sala Daeng BTS and SamYan MRT on the west side of Th.Rama 4 is the best downtown
  17. I have no experience but yes why not you should be able to get a Tourist Visa in Manila. Remember I read in the past here that it is not the friendliest Visa Embassy but if you do not have history of Visa runs in the past and all documents ready (bank account, flight bookings..) should be easy to get in a couple of days. Question is, why getting Visa when as UK citizen you can enter Thailand for 30 days with no visa and get another 30 days extension for 1900 THB in Bangkok? Easier and cheaper.
  18. Guess many like me have read this comment with Aussie accent
  19. My wife's passport did expire before the 1 year of a new visa extension, so although her visa could be renewed in December until December the following year, it was renewed at the expiration date of the passport, until September the following year. Six or seven months before expiry date she did renew passport and first transfer the Visa onto the new passport, then September got one year extension to September following year.
  20. Just watch out, as Phuket police might still anytime ask for passport as per Thai law one should always carry. Get a copy in case and prepare to negotiate. Keep a low profile, avoid renting a motorbike and in case always wear helmet - as a foreigner will be likely stopped at roadblocks and passports will be asked.
  21. There is a skilled guy on Sukhumvit between Soi 4 and Soi 2 by the small Police hut.
