Well he would, wouldn't he! There is absolutely no need for conscription in any country let alone Thailand!

The first copy will be sent by mail to the driver or owner of the vehicle, while the second copy will be kept as duplicate copy by the police officer who issued the ticket.
So what happened to the Central Nationwide Database that the police were supposed to have. Is it up to the issuing officer to chase up the fine?

In the three quarters (nine months) of 2020, BH witnessed total profit of Bt1.031 billion,
What are they moaning about, everybody is making less money due to current situation. Many companies have had to shut down! In my view Hospitals should be for the good of the patient and nothing else!

Naew Na reported this story referring to the police operation against "black skinned" individuals.
They referred to the country of origin of the suspects in their headline as "muang mor phee" "the land of witchdoctors" or "shamans".
How racist is that! Disgraceful stereotyping and racial profiling. This is the 21st century for goodness sake and there is no place for racism of any type.

Absolute madness!!! This virus is no respecter of deadlines and can strike you down if you do not respect guidelines, which are there to protect you. If only people had more sense and abided by the regulations, there would be no need for Government legislation!

I am hoping that he and his entourage were in quarantine and that he was nearing the end of the 14 days if he was due to meet Prayut and other cronies today! But maybe I am just a dreamer ????

On release, she'll be nearly 80 and he'll be 89 if they do the full sentence. Not sure how they will pay off the fine if they are banged up, unless they can sell their house.

In UK they say that £x = 1 day's imprisonment so I expect it will be something similar over here. Not sure how the remission of sentence for good behaviour or parole system works in Thailand either, but I doubt whether they will do the full time.

"The prime minister has instructed related authorities to alleviate the storm's impact on people's daily lives,"
Who does he think he is instructing authorities to do the job they are paid to do!

As he thinks he is God, or Canute, perhaps he could contact Thailand Meteorological Department and order them to stop the storm over Laos!

All hotels, whether big or small provide a room with bathroom, A/C and TV, which is what most people require. In better times it is just used as a base for sleeping etc. and guests could eat out and explore if they so wished. I have rarely spent more than 600-700 baht per night for a hotel room, with breakfast. Now, if some of these smaller hotels were used for "Approved" Quarantine for 14 days, it might not be OTT luxury, but would be affordable for more people eligible to return here. Elite Hotels are all very well but it is the small hoteliers who are suffering most. Give them a chance to make ends meet!

Yes but look at the resurgence of Covid in those areas as a result of opening up to all and sundry too soon! I know where I would rather be at the moment.

If it is as good and realistic and true to the Bible, as the Passion of The Christ is, I for one, am really looking forward to it. Watch the first film every Holy Week (the week before Easter).

In the UK, if the Chancellor of the Exchequer, (Finance Minister) were to resign or be sacked, a replacement would be appointed in hours, as the finance of the country is considered important! Here in Thailand, it clearly isn't as long as the military gets their transport and armaments! If a post such as this can remain unoccupied for a month or so, then clearly it isn't required!

And yet we have many Universities in this country without any military connection who probably have much better credentials to plan a future without the Armed Forces! How many other countries have WAR colleges! Says it all!!

Somsak added that the bracelet conformed to the standard of the ones currently used in court. Removal of the device without approval will entail punishment and a return to prison. In addition, those who wear bracelets must constantly report to the concerned official.
In UK, EM devices are used so that those wearing them do not have to report! They ensure curfew requirements are met and that a person is where they are supposed to be! They are supposedly tamperproof and send a signal to those monitoring if attempts are made to remove them. Prisoners on licence report to the Probation service without "tags". Failure to do so results in recall to prison!

Fantastic news! But why no comments. Khon Kaen rarely gets mentioned on Thai Visa, but is a highly politically motivated town. I am glad to see that protesters against this military government are taking to the streets here and following the lead given by students nationwide.

Sadly, discussion and critical thinking is not encouraged in the Thai education system! Students, whether in school or University are "taught" by learning by rote and what the teacher says is right without question, no debate! Teachers and lecturers would do well to read the CRC and allow students to express themselves freely!

As it is 47 days until September 26th, no-one will be getting a 30 day extension beyond that date. The clue is in the question, i.e. 30 days!

What about issuing a ball of string to each tourist, who ties it round their ankle. The other end is tied to hotel reception! If they stray too far they can just be hauled in ????
