  1. I had a 20-minute wait at my local petrol station in the South a few days ago, it seems to have calmed down due to news that we have reserves to get us through it, but I'm not entirely convinced. LPG Gas is next, so stock up on that too!
  2. Iran strikes Thai ship attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
  3. Iran strikes Thai ship attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. I think the prices are going to go up soon in Thailand.
  4. Wang Prachan Border Run Update: All went as usual, got my 2nd 60-day VE stamp for this year at the same price of 2000 baht. Asked the most important question of how many more I can do this year, and was told they're not sure yet because they're waiting for the new government to introduce their immigration plans. As of now, she told me I'd need to fly out and come back in after a few days for my next 60-day VE. I'm assuming this is done by using a safe entry service. Has anyone used a safe entry service for Hat Yai airport? If so, how much does it cost, and which one did you use? Thank you
  5. Has anyone been to Wang Prachan recently? Is it still okay for same-day bounce? Will be going there this month for another VE. Will update when I get back
  6. Always check the Vouchers Tab at the top of the main page, and claim them all, weekly. Restart the App on your phone to enable them. I've gained big savings this way.
  7. Read this today on Pattaya Mail. I know it's not the best source, but it's still positive news for some. BANGKOK, Thailand – The Anti-Fake News Center Thailand has issued a warning regarding false information claiming that a new rule permits foreign nationals to enter Thailand visa-free only twice per year. The Center noted that this misinformation has led to public misunderstanding and confusion. Wetang Phuangsup, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, dismissed these rumors after confirming with the Immigration Bureau. He clarified that no official announcement or legal amendment has been made to limit visa-free entry for foreign nationals to two times per year. Furthermore, no legal guidelines or regulations have been established regarding such a restriction. The Immigration Bureau continues to enforce existing measures, including enhanced screening of foreign nationals who frequently enter and exit the Kingdom in a pattern consistent with visa-run behavior. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society advised the public to rely exclusively on information released by official authorities, to verify facts and website links thoroughly, and to share content responsibly in order to prevent the spread of misinformation. 8. Went to the Wang Prachan border this week near Malaysia. Things went smoothly; I was out and back in the same day and got another 60-day exempt—my eighth one since my Non-O visa expired. Paid 2,000 baht fee at the Thai immigration window before getting my exit stamp. The nice lady there told me I could do one more this year, but that might change after the elections in February.

  10. Earlier Post ---- Wife spoke to her Imm friend today, who works at the Wang Prachan border in Satun next to Malaysia. The word there is, it's back to 2 visa exemptions per year, so if, like me, you've had more than 2 this year, don't bother going there, you won't get another. I was paying their 2000 baht fee every 60 days, which was a good deal for me, but that ends now. They also said it could change to something new in January lol Update Coming Soon --- I'll be there this month and will update this thread for this border, hope it helps a few of you chaps out.

  12. I recommend MyThaiVisa. They handle everything, including filling in the application form. All I did was sign 2 forms, give them my photos, and a phone bill to show my address in Thaialand. They can send you everything in the post, or there's a shop in Pattaya so you could pop in. I had a stress-free experience with them a month ago, and khun Som, who handles it all, was always available to answer any questions. Mine took less than 4 weeks to get back. Her number is 0934938170. She speaks great English FB Link - https://www.facebook.com/mythaivisa
  13. Tried all kinds of things, but the only thing that works for me quickly is cucumber. I munch on one, and about 5 minutes later, my acid reflux is gone.
  14. This is the same for the Wang Prachan border crossing. The immigration officer there told me they're only used at the airports and not land crossings.
