  1. I've seen a few troubling posts about bank issues with the "BB" regarding the 400,000, bank statments, frozen accounts etc for the Non-O marriage extension, so been pondering about the DTV. My question for anyone with experience is: can I obtain a DTV visa based on a 6-month dental program and use that for the next 5 years, instead of jumping through all the hoops now and potentially in the future linked to the Non-O? I just want to stay here with the fam with as little ball ache as possible What do you think, doiable without more ball ache?
  2. Never been to that border, so not sure, there's a thread about it somewhere on here though
  3. I'm in the same boat. Did you end up getting your new card sent to Thailand? Has anyone here had their card posted to Thailand recently?
  4. It's very busy until about 2 PM. I try to be there after 4 PM, and it’s much easier. The border is open every day and closes at 6 PM.
  5. Additionally, you can fly to Hat Yai and take a minivan to the Wang Prachan border in Satun, which is located on the border with Malaysia. The journey takes around three to four hours. When you arrive, before you stamp out, there are a couple of windows to the side of the Stamp Out building. Go to the end one and explain that you want to return the same day. Give the Imm Lady your passport, fee of 2000 baht, and TDAC details, and she will provide you with a ticket number to present on the Malaysian side. You'll then walk over to the Malaysian side, give them your ticket, and they will stamp you in and out. Then you return to Thailand to get your stamp back in. If you can arrive around 3 to 4 pm it's not as busy, and the whole process can be finished in less than 30 minutes from my experience. Done this six times now, including this week, and I have had no problems at all.

  7. Yes, before you stamp out, there are a couple of windows to the side of the Stamp Out building. Go to the end one and explain that you want to return the same day. Just give her your passport, fee, and TDAC details, and she will explain the rest.
  8. If you fly to Hat Yai, you can take a minivan to the Wang Prachan border in Satun, which borders Malaysia. The journey takes about three hours. When you arrive, explain to the immigration officer that you want to pay the "fee" of 2,000 baht to return on the same day. The officer will direct you to a window around the corner, where a female immigration officer will provide you with a ticket number to present on the Malaysian side. You'll then walk over to the Malaysian side, give them your ticket, and they will stamp you in and out. Then you can return to Thailand to get your stamp back in. I've done this five times so far with no problems at all.
  9. If you can get to Wang Prachan in Satun that borders with Malaysia, the "fee" at the border is 2000 baht to come back the same day, not sure how relaxed the others are but this one is.
  10. The code to receive that offer is *900*7164# Try it you never know!
  11. No need for contact details for this process. When you get to the building where you stamp out, you’ll see two windows on the side. First, you need to go to the end window and let them know you want to come back the same day. Just hand over your passport and 2,000 baht. They’ll stick a sticker in your passport and ask to see your TDAC details. After that, you’ll need to go around the corner to stamp out. The immigration officer there will give you a ticket number that you’ll show to the Malaysian side so they know to stamp you in and out. Then, head back to stamp in without any fuss (that’s how it’s been for me). Hope this helps 👍
  12. Yes, the 'Fee' is for same-day bounce and costs 2000 baht.
  13. Update: I was at the Wang Prachan border over the weekend, the only thing that changed was they asked to see my TDAC QR code when I paid my 'Fee' the rest went smoothly as usual.
  14. I've never done it that way but never had any problems at the Wang Prachan border going out and coming back in the same day on visa exempts. The 'Fee' is 2000 baht, but you pay this on the Thai side. You should be fine without the service if you're already in Malaysia and want to come back in.
