In another tread members talk about buying property in Thailand and noisy neighbors.

Did you ever have noisy neighbors in Thailand?

Could you solve this by yourself with the neighbor?

Did you let the security people or management handle this?

Was it so bad that you moved out?

Personally, I had a long time ago a noisy neighbor. I let it slide a few times and then I just called the security of the building, every time he started noise again in the middle of the night.

I don't remember how long it took, but maybe max one month later the problem was solved.

    How about you?

My preferred solution is to wait for them to retire and then play Pat Metheny’s, Zero tolerance for Silence.part 1.at high volume. Its so raucous it would wake the dead

They should listen to the Governor - he know what's best not the self serving muppets in government

Agree in todays FT there is an article of Thailands failed policies over the economy and alarming levels of rural poverty.By removing the BOT independence means the ruling clique can borrow vast sums for their B10000 programme. Just saddle the next generation with debt. The last uk PMwanted to borrow vast sums too without it being funded and the uk economy was thrashed .

Heat for sure in summer affects tourisme. But all year round, it all the harassment from various government agencies on Visa and tax issues,  that not only affects, but will push the quality retirees to sell their property in Thailand and move to other near Asian countries.

Or better still, move to Mauritius

Urgh... thats rather horrific...  What a horrible way to go, not just for him but all those around him too.

I'd have been sh!#ing it on that flight...  fear level 9 unlocked as I start to suspect something like hemorrhagic ebola...

One question though: If he was so visibly unwell, how come the boarding crew (gate staff) didn't raise concern ?

This happened to me a few years back when I suffered a stroke and 3 hours later internal bleeding through the mouth and nose. Fortunately I was in a Chiang Mai hospital and got appropriate treatment.

You can't blame the students the failure lies squarely with teachers and their obvious lack of skill and or knowledge in actual teaching

Raise the standards of teachers and pay them a living wage. This new govt. have earmarked 2 a measly 2.4% of GD for education. They need to start investing in their Human Resources and more science, technical and vocational training.

Makes me think of Bobby Charlton who recently died in a UK care home... result of a fall, not really his age ( 86) or dementia. Yes a Thailand care home is a good option... but hard for close family to visit regularly!

There are always apps and Zoom to stay in contact with family and friends so a minor inconvenience when compared to the advantages of staying away from the hellhole that is UK.which is fast becoming a failed state.

I would never buy in a gated community the houses are on top of each other , no privacy , your neighbors can hear everything

Clearly you have not looked very carefully as there are many available . Best to hire a driver and explore the options in the Hang Dong/Canal rd area as well at contacting some agents..the O/P is looking to rent not buy.

Why were they given cards and loans if they did not have the ability to repay said cards and loans. Shameful....

When a foreigner gets a credit card they must deposit an amount equal to their credit card limit. Why don’t banks do likewise with their Thai customers?
