"A Danish man was shocked after finding out that his three houses he owns with his Thai wife on Koh Samui were burgled"
He will be even more shocked when he finds out one day that he doesn't own the houses. ????
Hope he has usufruct title on the deeds. That way he can use the house for the rest of his life. That way if his wife predeceases him he has right of use. He will likely leave the island after this theft and damage. Hope the cops can do a thorough job.

In the uk, and perhaps other countries, the pedestrian has the right of way at ALL times. Maybe Thailand could consider adding this rule in their Highway Code and test.

My family and I won't swim unless the water is minimum 28ºC. Which means our pool is basically only in use from late-April until early-August, and the rest of the year I'm constantly sweeping heaps of leaves out of it, keeping it chlorinated and pH balanced, repairing and replacing the pumps and filters, draining the pool after heavy rains, and generally wondering why I have a pool. It's a lot of maintenance for three months of actual use.
Swimming in December in Chiang Mai? Hope you're a polar bear ????
Consider installing a few solar panels linked up to your pump for some added warmth.

You have gone into the Devil's Den and then complain about bad things????
I want to wear 2,000,000 in gold and go to Pattaya to see if anyone will try to rob me. I've watched enough Ninja YouTube videos to be ready.
Wretched place to visit.

The Thai state do not know what to do with their graduates either .There is an absence of forward thinking policy . With tourism once its great invisible export, now in the doldrums and unlikely to recover there is an urgent need for forward thinking education policies which concentrate on future needs of the country and its population.. Thailand is slipping down the educational league tables and more quality science and vocational training is needed to raise the hopes and aspirations of these school age children..
what are the Ministry of Educations current objectives I wonder.?- 1

Gold will continue to reign supreme. Too many condos abandoned and neglected in Thailand me thinks for that sector to be profitable.
Have any of the readers here actually made a profit on real estate property?

Thank you for help here, except the British embassy.!

The first marriage extension is a bit intimidating when you haven't done one before. Best to use an agent for the first then you will know what to do subsequently.
No need to use an agent. I recently did my 11th extension at Chiang Mai immigration and never any major problems. Save your money.

Hmmm... as highlighted below... You chose, you chose, you chose....
Did your lady not also chose you?.... why adopt all of her culture and none of your own ?
A marriage between East and West is a meeting of cultures not a complete cultural shift by one part to another culture.
IF you wanted to go back through 1000’s of culture, why not involve the 1000’s years of culture whereby the father of the bride pays a dowry ???
I get the culture part, but its only a part of culture when the Sin-sod is symbolic, when the money is actually handed over it is bribery thinly veiled under the word culture.
-
It’s called sin sod not dowry which is an Indian concept

The wider issue here is for government to implement major training and education programmers to train some of the current and future generations in meaningful employment away from tourism sectors. Wonder if this current administration is capable of such challenges?

Why not consider a Chiang Mai Hua Hin flight. Test the water as I am sure it rill be popular/profitable.

Depends on the school uniform you are wearing. How many times has there been students killed or chased down and beaten with fighting between technical colleges.
Isn't this a problem for parts of Bangkok only? No such problem in Chiang Mai but elsewhere?

Not every father is permament resident, how many of u got permament residence papers?
And not every father got work permit.
Whats work permit got to do with being a father to thai kid ?
Most of this ppl are on NON-O visas. So what about them ?
Once the air travel ban is lifted I would have thought that a fit to fly cert. from an MD would be sufficient and on arrival in Thailand tested again and quarantined for 14 days would suffice. Hope the COVID committee here will consider this.

I am waiting on a small A4 sized package from Austria . According to Austria Posts website mail should still be coming in to Thailand. This includes their EMS service. What is Thai Posts policy now, re deliveries from Europe? I cant seem to get a straight answer.
