Anybody see the video where Kurt Schwab, president of the WEF, wants everyone to have a chip implanted in their brain? "Think of that".. he thinks it'll solve everything, can't even imagine that some may not want that.  You'll be able to use it for getting social credit points, permission to travel abroad, to support the latest official line, spend money, say what you think. You can't change human nature, but you can change human behaviour. This isn't a conspiracy theory, they keep telling us what they want to do and nobody listens.

CBDC most worrying . It’s dystopian.

Which part of CM are you in?  I know of 2 local ppl, both very knowledgeable.

I used Uwe Conrad’s firm 15 years ago, German engineering and parts. No problems.

Again look at this from an International perspective.

As a generality when countries get more successful they tend to raise the bar for retired expats if they have such programs at all.

    Try retiring in Singapore.

As mentioned the requirements for Malaysia were massively increased resulting in a huge exodus and almost no new applications.

Malaysia does have a budget loophole in Sarawak.

News is the Philippines will soon kill their famous three years before a visa run scheme and change to 90 days. That will cause a mass exodus. There are examples like this globally.

The USA and uk are just 2 examples of countries losing their grip on immigration. Thailand has a fairly firm grip(except For Myanmar) on immigration. Thailand will still want those with sufficient money to stay longer term, particularly those who are educating their children here, employing local people and patronizing the private health care systems. Maybe

it will be very different for the low Enders with modest incomes.

IMO a person should never wait until 6 or less months before renewing their passport because some countries require at least 6 months left on a passport when traveling to that country AND you want to ensure you have your renewed passport in-hand well before any important event like an annual extension of stay.   Renew 9 to 12 months before especially when renewal can take numerous months.  Yes, I know, that effectively turns your 10 yr passport into a 9 year passport due to renewing around a year early, but at least it can prevent major problems like not having enough time left on the current passport.

There is no time limit as to how early a person can renew their U.S. passport....you can renew it years before expiration if desired.

Pay people a living wage so they don’t need to strike.similar problems in the uk too about to begin with strikes at uk passport offices. Staff there have had no pay rises for several years  and inflation etc eroding wages.

Hope this post and the ones above won’t lead to people looking for forged passports!

Yes the lazy, lethargic, ineffective, indifferent, pathetic, so called leaders do nothing. They are not stopping the farmers from burning crops, even though the law was passed. They likely continue to accept massive payoffs from the sugar industry. Thailand continues to be one of the few countries continuing to promote filthy diesel vehicles. So much could be done. Wildfires and pollution from neighboring countries are an issue. But, it is only part of the problem. The lack of leadership is a huge problem.

A vital point re leadership, but ASEAN leaders also lacking in a decisive leadership plan.. Technology exists in the form of Mulcher machines as an alternative to burning. Govt should encourage this and the sugar industry division forced to use some of their massive profits to fund mulchers. Burning is banned in Europe so why can’t Thailand do likewise to correct such dangerous practices or am I just naive?

Authorites are just figuring it now ? I believe the 1st Russian aircraft arrival in October had a 2 truck water cannon welcoming.........I'm sure if Immigration clamps down on corruption, most will have to leave at some point ????

Thailand is not a signatory of the UN convention on refugees. Most unfortunate as many Burmese are fleeing persecution for reasons outlined in the UN definition.

A lot of the world is in financial trouble, and these are countries that are not at war.

My question is when was the last time the USA paid down any of its massive debt?

The same goes for some European countries, and other parts of the world, when is the

last time a lot of countries paid down at least some small percentages of their debt?

It actually is a scary world we are all living in. What would happen if there was a global money melt down?

I heard that another bit coin company has failed. Will there be any that survive? Just thinking.

I am sure glad that I did not invest in bit coin, or be involved in bit coin.

Hope you bought some gold or silver as fiat currencies are on their way out due to the worlds unsustainable levels of debt.

That's like saying "rent, don't buy."

Not always true. Depends on your situation.

Renting is better for some. Buying is better for some. Some can live with either choice.

There's no one size fits all solution.

Good luck to the guy. Life is too short to be miserable all the time.

    Great thread by the way.

"I just don't know what to do...I'm thinking, how long have I got?'"..... for what? To save your marriage? That ship has sailed. Move on. It's over.

A classic example of why marriage cannot provide all physical, emotional and economic needs.

Crikey, scary stuff! Thanks for feedback

Going back to UK is not a good option at the moment though surely? NHS is on the brink of collapse I'm reading. Would I get treated/operated on if necessary?

So where else could I go for it?

    Any recommendations anyone?

Go to Singapore competent doctors and we’ll equipped, though expensive I fear. Forget the Uk nothing works and the health service is on its face.Good luck.
