  1. I thought You guys would have nailed it by now..

All our plugs fit into the universal socket, but no 110 American equipment will survive unless it has a charge adapter.

I brought my guitar amp to Thailand and never played it 'cause I never had time to by a voltage adapter!

"wall warts", transformers..smart phone chargers, my laptop, all fit AND don't burn up!

All 110-120 Volt appliances need a voltage adapter.

My computer plugged right in at Incheon airport, as pointed out by a Scottish lady, even though I got the adapter.

Plugged right in in Laos also, Universal outlet plugs..

By the washer dryer or refrigerator/AC in Asia or Europe, no prob.

    aloha

  2. ^^ choochoo..(cool name)

Yeah, docile, obedient.. I used a thesaurus online to try to recreate the feeling I had when I heard thus story while awakening on the radio..racial [national] stereotypes! EEOC Asians helping Asians, which I'm used to in Hawaii..I wanted to make the pre- judge, assumption point...alohz

Sent from my GT-P3113 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

  3. Ancient thread! I'm in Kona Hawaii..its cooler here than Thailand, same latitude..subtropical. I heard someone on Hawaii Conversation, on Hawaii Public Radio, which can be found on Facebook, or as a podcast, was talking about the engineering of hydroponics, the plumbing is the magic key, he said its all in the angles of the plumbing!

I'll try to find it for the sake of all. Maybe you all have figured it out!

    I'm ready to try!

  4. Apparently can work freelance if one pays taxes of a large percentage..

The phone, no way without huge roaming fees.Just get a Thai phone near the airport.

Skype works great on a smartphone.

The reason people do visa runs every sixty to ninety or 270 days is so as not to overstay.

Dont even consider overstaying more than a few days. The fine is minimal on circumstances beyond one's control..have fun, good luck!

    alohz

  5. My friend Dr. Kandis 'adopted' our hostess..supposedly. As above, ^^I don't think adults can be adopted in Thailand..

True or not, She had to file every sixty days, even with 800 K baht in the bank..

    No free nationally..

I wonder if Your mom in law knows Eve, who now has a spa called Kandis' Spa above Chaing Mai

    on the road to Pai..

    Small world tho'

  6. Righto, Tubemate insists You only download updates from their recommended providers..!

    Alohzwindow.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());

A consequence of the weak control of the apps in the Google Play Store. As annoying as Apple's requirements are for submitting apps to their app store store, it does have its reasons: One being protecting people (and the stores' reputation, of course).

Where does it say this has anything to do with an application downloaded from the Google Play Store? Actually it specifically mentions the dangers of downloading things not in the operating systems official app stores. Whatever system you use.

Guess Apple has tightened up (or not)...here's a story from mid 2012 regarding virus infected app from the Apple Store (also on Google Play)....basically the infected app would steal your contacts data and spam your contacts. Link

  7. http://hpr2.org/post/latest-settlement-announced-mistreated-thai-farmworkers

The stereotyped view that Thais are easy to control by withholding any rewards,

came back to bite several Hawaii corporations who have been ordered to pay millions of U.S. dollars to the very deserving Thais.

The corporations also offered many 'millions' of USD in employment..?

I guess that would include a visa..

Our Thai brothers and Sisters were reduced to eating birds..

Hawaii Island Mac Nut growers and others were involved.

    Aloha Oi !
