Well... I did say produce offspring. Not adopt offspring from other Thai. By the way, I am curious. How can they adopt a child if the Thai are in a same sex marriage? I did not know 2 women can make a baby together with only each other. or 2 men for that matter. Perhaps you misunderstood what I had said.

Never heard of that, but as i think about what happened there is one thing i forgot that could make her drowning while in the hospital.. Perhaps the hospital did not check lungs for water. The hospitals are not known for their excellent thinking and care. So I guess it is possible she died with fluid in her lungs and the hospital is saving face by not disclosing this.

yeah pathetic isn't it. I have never seen so many fat old ladies trying to be bar girls that are out there now. It is scary to think what it will be like in 30 years hmm... As for their population, I donated 3 kids already. Can not give more haha... It begs to wonder with their acceptance and promotions of LBGT that perhaps they encouraged many to have same sex relationships which would never produce offspring? Hence aiding in the reduction of births.

Neurologist recommendation at Sirrirat Hospital
thesetat replied to MattATX's topic in Health and Medicine
The pain management center there has a neurologist there and the doctor in that pain center also has after hours offices in the newer hospital building. I know because I go to both. -
Sorry for asking, but why would you hope she had drowned when the article clearly states she died 30 minutes after arriving to the hospital? Clearly drowning is impossible unless they smothered her head in water while at the hospital. Perhaps this is just a case of being hit in the head and having getting blood in the brain. Since obviously the foreigner carried her downstairs while she was alive still and perhaps still awake. I would agree with you that automatic suspicious falls more quickly to the foreigner doing foul play though. Seems to happen a lot in Thailand.

Neurologist recommendation at Sirrirat Hospital
thesetat replied to MattATX's topic in Health and Medicine
If you have good insurance. go to the pain management center there. Or go to the private one there at Sirirat.. My last back surgery they imported a surgeon from Australia to sever some nerves in my spine using lasers. -
I send mine to Bank of America and then do a one day wire transfer which is free. The bank changes the currency to Thai baht automatically and sends that. I never lose more than a few baht to the current exchange rates online. Then when the money arrives to Thailand my local bank only takes out about 1 or 2% as fee.

You can not read i guess... i clearly said watching them get customers.. I did not know men go to those bars to find customers. but maybe you do hmm

sounds like you have a lot of personal experience with dealing with this. It seems safe to assume you went through this yourself and have now shared your own private insight and experience with everyone else. Thanks for your insight and experience. I hope it has gotten you happy in your new life with other men. As for the story, there are many men who go to these type of bars without ever taking a woman. Personally, I go to watch their antics trying to get customers. Occasionally I will take a woman for a drink or more if she interests me enough to consider paying a few hundred dollars on her for drinks and bar fines and then some playtime. It seem easy to come to the conclusion though that you personally go to the bars for other men and you are still fighting to come out of the closet or just recently did and trying to convince yourself that other men are the same as you.

That is a lot.. In the USA they just had a promotion for hamburgers at McDonalds for 1 cent.. Burger King also ran a promotion for New Years weekend to give hamburgers away for free. Your 165 baht was really a lot.

US citizen, better to marry Thai in US or in Thailand (registered)?
thesetat replied to JTXR's topic in Marriage and Divorce
First you need to go to the US Embassy in Thailand and get a letter stating you are not married in the USA. Then have it translated to Thai. Take your woman to an Amphur with 2 witnesses and file your marriage. 100 baht i think is the fee. Then take their document and get it translated and stamped at the Thai consulate. Take that English version to the US Embassy and register your marriage. Keep your documents for immigration if you plan to change Visa to a marriage visa. Just a note. The actual marriage is done in the Amphur. Any ceremonies that may be done with the family is unofficial. The document can be signed at the Amphur or by the monks I think. Either way the process is not difficult. And should you choose divorce in the future you do not need to return with her to divorce in courts like all the divorces in the USA. Get a lawyer in Thailand to make and use him to enforce a pre-nup if you get divorced. But as i said before you are best to keep your retirement visa if you have the money. Marriage Visas require a lot to get it and keep it. But that Visa does allow you to work if you want. -

for #1. You are better off keeping your retirement visa. less hassles with immigration that way. for #2 If you really want marriage visa. Perhaps it is easier if done outside of Thailand for #3. If you marry in the US. You need to go through divorce court in the US as well. This means both of you in court to settle it. If you marry in Thailand, your marriage is registered at the Thai and American Embassy but you would not need to go through a US court system to finalize your divorce. Also, do a prenup in Thailand using a Thai lawyer that never talks to your wife. Have it translated into English for your benefit as well. Make sure everything is clear in the pre-nup so there can be no misunderstanding or possibilities of arguments from the woman or her family. I have been married to the same Thai woman now for 11 years. We married in Thailand, Notified the US embassy of the marriage. I originally had a marriage Visa obtained inside Thailand but after I stopped working I changed it to retirement Visa because yearly it is so much easier to get extensions with 90% less paperwork and hassles. Good luck -
actually couldn't he just get a copy of his passport notarized at his embassy?

PART 2 Thai Wife Being Bullied By Family
thesetat replied to thefarangteacher's topic in Marriage and Divorce
Many Thai parents have a lack of understanding what exactly is sinsod. In reality it is a show of money that you are able to care for the woman financially. But in the North they consider it a payment for their child so they can keep the money. That sinsod should be going into a bank account under your wifes name or both your names. It is security that the woman can live if you choose to divorce her. https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand/dowry-in-thailand#:~:text=“Sin Sod”%2C or Thai, expected in the Thai culture. In my traditional Thai marriage, I showed almost 100,000 in cash and gold. Showed is the key word here. This sinsod was placed by the family under our bed because they just wanted to see that I was able to gather money to care for my wife if needed. The family had no interest to keep it. Showing the sinsod was only for the neighbors to see so the family would save face. In the North the Thai twisted it as a payment for their child. Which is not true. You could try telling the family you will show your ability to take care of their child but the family can not keep the sinsod because it is for your wifes security. This is culture in Thailand. The North because so many are poor think sinsod is about paying the family for their daughter same you would pay a mamasan for the bar girl to keep her long time haha.. If you do not want the family to see cash... Show a bank book page haha.. That would really burn them up to be so close to getting all that money and then only find a bank book showing it is inaccessible hmm. But in all reality, the family does lose face if there is nothing shown during the wedding. The hostility will never end unless you find a solution. It will make bigger problems for you with your woman in the future as well. Many foreigners are telling you to show strength. Stand up for yourself. They are correct that if you show weakness then the family will control you through your wife. Also, something to think about would be moving away only far enough that you do not need to deal with the family on a daily basis or their neighbors seeing you together. Just remember one thing. Although you have a good relationship with your wife to be. She is still going to keep her parents as #1. At best you will be # 3 or 4 in her life concerns. So you need to make sure your in-laws discontinue their harassment of her about this. If not then you will suffer the consequences in the future and lose her. -
Tried hypnosis in Thailand and it did not work. Do not waste your time and money for this. Amatuers at the very least.

Thais and Chinese to travel visa-free, starting March 1
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
nice beaches? -
Not sure what this exactly means? Arrested and released with a fine? Arrested and detained? Story is very vague about it. With Pattaya reputation it most likely means they paid a fine (500 baht) then warned about such behavior. They really could not arrest,, charge and convict these men for the crime without a victim testifying. So I do not see them being detained.

Thais and Chinese to travel visa-free, starting March 1
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Even Thais have to go through immigration checkpoints. But just as a Thai they will no longer need to leave Thailand or renew Visa. This is bad news for Thailand and a lose-lose situation. They still will not be getting more tourists. But, the ones they get will be more criminally minded with the ability to enter the country and stay without being checked on why they are staying so long here. My Chinese friend who works in China as a government teacher said that all Chinese government workers had their passports taken away during Covid and he went to check about getting another one recently and was told they are still not permitted to get their passports back. This makes me believe that the Chinese government is not wanting normal good citizens to have passports. I dread the idea of what type of Chinese that are actually allowed to have passports and leave China coming here.- 55 replies

Chinese always prefer to have sons. The fact this man left her and returned home when learning she has a daughter in her tummy is not surprising. The Chinese app though may be a new kind means to find surrogate women in Thailand. Personally, this country needs more girls in it and more babies from anyone. Thier was a report about this and the future of Thailand. I would not mind seeing more young women in Thailand either haha...
