  1. Was it a siamese cat breed?

There the one of the few breeds that are tough and bulky enough to take on dogs and some humans.

A tomcat scratched me as a kid unprovoked when I was in a field

Had a cat at our apartment with kittens, didn't mind any of us touching them too much, and never attacked.

I'd put this down to the dog trespassing on the cats turf more than anything.

  2. 18th Jan?

Sounds pretty bitchin', me CBR will be ready by then but as it's on the other side of the Gulf I'll be in Hua Hin then for the ride onward and down to Pranburi. :o

It's a shame as the dates clash with biker week there.

  3. Cheers brothers!

Yep the camber was a c*nt alright but I was perhaps also to blame for not taking the turn at a more shallow angle.

The pillion gear probably didn't help though :o

Lessons have been learned and yes it did feel like I was tipping into the abyss somewhat! :D

When I get the fairings back from the spray shop and fitted I'll fire another video for us all to chuckle about :D

Hopefully of me not smack-downing the CBR :D

  4. There has been some discussion on this forum regarding nationwide apparently blocking cash withdrawals in LOS.

The advice given was to inform nationwide about your travel plans in advance.

Today I have spoken to nationwide as I travel to LOS at the end of the month and this is what I have been told.

Nationwide will only block withdrawals if there is an obviously unusual transaction happening.

There is no mechanism for informing nationwide in advance about travel plans.

Normal uk withdrawal limits apply wherever you are located.

So it seems that those people who have had problems have operated outside of normal parameters.

Hope this is helpfull and will re assure travellers.

The thing is people have still had accounts on 'soft hold' while operating WITHIN normal parameters. :o

  5. Watch out for the camber! :o

  7. Ok, just established from my local bike dealership that farang to farang sale of a bike is NOT possible.

Only thai to farang or farang to thai!

Asked around town and the biking farang confirm this.

It seems the law is to prevent farang biking monopolies and unoffical farang dealerships or something.

Can sell but have to do it triangle-like to a thai first then the thai sell on to the farang.

  9. Hey folks!

Well the faithful 'blue wolf' CBR 150 will shortly be getting sold on to another farang here in LOS.

    What's the deal here?

We've agree on a price the bike is in my name but registered in Chiang Mai. I'm currently away from the province and will not be returning for a while.

The whole 'transfer of ownership' thing is a bit grey in my head.

Has anyone done this on TV and if so what was the deal?

    Answers appreciated.

  10. Taken by surprise by a pedestrian while filtering through stationary traffic... the rider was right to berate himself in the way he did.

Ohhh & you ride a motorcycle in thailand & you've never filtered thru the stationary traffic....with the millions of other riders that do it.

Being a pedestrian in Thailand, one would have to think twice before dancing out amoungst the traffic without looking.....of course being a thai and living amoungst it for 30 or 40 years....you think she would know better.

Good thing he bothered to weave around her & not go over the top of her, like so many others do.

Well said, some car-zealot farang in Thailand would sht themselves if they actually rode a bike so his comments, while ridiculous are understandable :D

I would pay money to see him on a bike in Bangkok with about 100 bikers up his back end while he blocks the filter lanes between traffic :o

  12. The gene pool of available minds in the political sphere

is too small to support many great thinkers, so those that CAN think,

get unavoidably hamstrung with those that can't for organizational reasons.

She maybe a pimp, but I would say she knows how businesses run.

Posiedon is one of the big zoot operations with a international clientel.

Many who like a more discrete rest stop. I'll give her some points for

political horse trading to get in this far.

If I compare her to Chalerm...

hmmm she smells more roses. A little.

Yes no doubt to farangs it seems madness, but TIT.

Defo 100% agree, the squares, prudes and puritans in the opposition have a bee in their bonnet as it is and *oh* how its soooo earth shattering that a Cabinet minister is connected to an entertainment establishment :D

Poseidon wouldn't even be open if it wasn't for the patronage in the first place folks :o

Good on the PM for making a brave choice and a fresh change from the usual dinosaurs fossils in thai politics :D
