  1. "The driver, Udon Buarapha, 27, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after tests revealed that his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit."

Interesting they managed to arrest and breathalise him but allowed Anna Reese to say she was not ready for arrest and go home.

Of course she was driving a Mercedes while he was riding a cheap motorbike.

    Where have you been?

Over here, nobodies go to jail. Somebodies can get away with anything.

If you drive a nice car, the police have to think twice before stopping your vehicle, let alone booking it.

Kill someone if you're a somebody? "Talk to my lawyer before you arrest me. I need my beauty sleep."

  2. Good for her! and this does seem like a very clear cut case of self defense so no prosecution should be brought.

While I'm happy she survived defending herself. 'Good for her' isn't something that should be used to describe the situation. She did after all have to kill her own son. I'm sure she's gonna feel like crap for the rest of her life.

  3. Unfortunately, this is the 21st century and the modern 7-11s, Family Marts and supermarkets will always beat the ugly mom and pop stores. It's business.

While I personally would prefer to support small businesses, let's be frank, would you buy from these small and unclean non air conditioned provision shops or would you prefer the nice, bright and cool 7-11s?

Yes, I would. I don't like CP products..t think they are rubbish and avoid them as much as possible

Good for you. You can support the small businesses. They need people like you.

  5. No danger of the army or police raiding a TV station in the US - we have our freedom of speech. There are media who hate Obama, and others who praise him, yet both can co-exist

Hence I'm confused why some TVF posters applaud this action here. Perhaps they have gone native (Bangkok style) and forgotten their civics training.

Don't compare the 'freedoms' in the United States to what's happening here.

When was the last time you had bombs exploding and armed rebels(oh sorry, peaceful protestors. Hah!) trying to overthrow the government? This with the aid of 'neutral' 'Peace' TV stations egging on the crowd? Or idiots going on stage calling for the burning of Bangkok and cheering when bombs blow up kids?

Things have been pretty peaceful since the Army took over. That's good enough for most people.

When was the last time you had bombs exploding in areas excluding the South and Bangkok during political protests?

Bombs exploding? A hand grenade or an M79 wouldn't be classed as bombs either, so when is the last time bomb(IEDs) like Syria and Iraq see day in and day out have exploded all over the country?

Things have been pretty peaceful ......unless you lived in the South.

Things have been pretty peaceful for many places all over Thailand even during the 2014 protests.

    Sensationalism much? ?

I'm sorry we're not all ex or claim to be ex military 'experts' who know the difference between a 'bomb', an 'IED' or a grenade. All I know is stuff blew up prior to the Army taking over and people died. Anyone blown up and die since they took over? To make it clear, I meant anywhere else but the South. Since when has it been peaceful there whoever is in charge?

It's not sensationalism, unless the violence that took place before the coup was nothing to you? I mean I can understand that sort of skirmish would be nothing if you served in Iraq or Afghanistan. But most of us here lead a relatively peaceful and sheltered life.

  7. That's pretty good news. To be fair, TG food is actually quite good.

Not in First or Business. TG is one of the few airlines now where premium class food is neither plated, nor garnished in the galley, and it shows. Food is often dried out and/or over cooked.

Glad to see someone is aware of the fruit issues. I had more than a few instances of rotten or poor quality fruit.

I just hope they emphasize the Thailand aspect in their menu.

Never been in first so I can't comment on that but business and economy food has always been up to standard. People will inevitably compare TG to SIA and Cathay and other 5 star airlines which I think is unfair. But if you compare TG to other 3-4 star airlines like BA or EVA or Lufthansa among others, service and meals on TG is actually very good.

    Gerry !

take a same price category of your ticket and than compare !!

Thai is 305 more expensive than other star alliance or AF, KLM , BA airlines !

You have to compare with SGP, Emirates and so !!

Haven't flied KLM before but frankly BA and Air France sucks ass compared to TG. People who bitch and moan about Thai need a dose of BA to wake them up.

And seriously, try finding an SQ or Emirates ticket that's cheaper than TG. It's possible but very unlikely.
