Flew Qatar this week BKK-LHR business. The first flight delayed an hour because of some paperwork we were told, but arrived to pick up second leg on time. BKK business lounge good. Doha business lounge very busy. Transit security also at 6am. I would say that the food offerings and lounge comparable with Emirates at BKK. A380 both legs. Next flight booking also Qatar but only 777.

I take your point, but in general i would have to disagree with your comment "Thai women are no different to American ones"
American women in general, there are exceptions, are self assured, confident, ready to defend themselves, verbally and physically. They believe men and women are equal, sometimes better than men. I could go on but you get the picture.
Thai women, unless they have lived in the USA for some time, are not so?
They are more feminine, more friendly, in general of course. IMO they have a much better attitude.
I would much rather work in an office full of Thai women then American women.
"In general" a load of old school sexist baloney.

This thread seems to touch a sensitive part of obvious liberal mind-sets which it should. The world outside is not as civilized as people think and what was an error in judgement with the dance teacher would have not caused any concern for the hundreds of working girls there unless it was threatening her with physical harm (we can't see the whole story from the above). The tolerance of these working girls for being poked and prodded, and molested by would-be clients is shocking when viewed by the outside. I just don't go to the gogo scene and I would suggest you keep your wives and daughters away from there too or also end up trying to get the BIB to help you sort it out at 3am which is easy to avoid. It's not Kansas anymore!
"an error in judgement". Amateur defence lawyer on the loose.

There is a big difference between "asking for it" and bringing yourself in a dangerous situation.
Let me try to explain it again: Why do sex workers often wear sexy short skirts and maybe stockings and high heels? Because lots of guys get horny when they see women with clothes like that.
And obviously women know that.
So if a women want's to avoid that guys think she is available what do those women do? They don't wear short skirts and stockings and high heels and walk at night on the streets.
It's not so difficult to understand this connection.
Is every woman who wears such thing a prostitute? No. But does she run the risk that horny guys who are maybe also drunk misinterpret her. Sure!
"Misinterpret". Just an excuse.

Until such time as words, adjectives, and behaviors are defined properly, we have no idea of what really happened, and so no real reason to use the word 'victim', when referring to this event.
The claim is : "a foreign tourist inappropriately touched her", and
"a foreign man secretly snuck up behind her and touched her without her consent. ".
What in this world does that mean? She was touched, oh darn. Inappropriate way, now, what in her mind does a touch become "inappropriate"?
I remember starting a chat with a girl while shopping. I ended up invited her to go have dinner in the evening. All seemed positive, until, when I had to go on my way, I touched her on the side of her hip, candidly, I do not know why, just to establish a contact perhaps.
Well, she got really offended, started telling me that this is not to be done in this country, or something to that effect. And she hinted at a possible complain. I remember getting uneasy, and was very glad to be able to just walk away from this entitled lady, entitled perhaps to the sanctity of her own body.
Lesson learned....
"I do not know why" Really?

It is more often than not stupid Trumpers who go round accusing everybody else of being sheep. One of their dogwhistle calling cards.

Seat preference is really an irrelevance once a ticket has been issued.

Interesting question as to what happened after the passenger was ejected from the flight.

You forgot the drying cost or do you take it home wringing wet and hang it out yourself?
Almost sounds to me like you have an interest in this laundermat but i'm probably wrong about that lol
After using wm clothes are damp but not wringing wet. Can be hung up on drying rack. Happy to begin discussion on different types of clothes pegs and electric iron brands.

The real reason for not doing their own ironing is that they probably can't iron anyway.

Problem is most of the lawyers here will lead you up the garden path. First task get a recommendation for a lawyer
In that case the OP can just wish his neighbour "Good Luck" in sorting out a solution with the lender. And avoid being blamed for any specific advice.

Many of the shops inside and alongside TukCom will have for sale new but older model budget Samsung phones for sale. You might still need to push that budget up towards 3k though.

There's a place on Soi Buakhao towards the Pattaya Tai end and on the corner before the Tuesday/Friday market. It must be the real thing because there are a number of bean bags outside to roll about on.

Thanks for the useful comments. I do not have any further details at this time. The only suggestion I can give to him at this time is to contact a lawyer to assist if possible. Difficult to comment when only have partial info.
Contact lawyer is probably the only appropriate advice irrespective of information provided.

If, in applying for a policy, you are asked if you have any pre-existing conditions and you make a false declaration, then that policy is invalidated in the event of you making a claim.

No you pay rent...owner is responsible for all repairs, unless caused by your negligence of course.
Has anybody here ever taken a landlord to Thai court for failing to fix stuff?

Second Road past the junction with Pattaya Tai. In the direction towards Jomtien. Maybe 50 metres on the right-hand side. School opposite. Open most days between ~ 3pm and 7pm. Makes shoes and does repairs. Other leather goods.

This is good evidence based advice.
But I have a question (vaccination sceptics please don't bother responding). What happens after having taken the second booster?
Wait 6 months until eligible for the next one assuming you are in Thailand.

The headline price for some eateries on Soi Buakhao is the price of the food which brings in the customer. Margin is made on the drink so even a bottle of water may be 30 baht. The complaint is probably more about the customer not thinking about the price of the drink or having some assumption about what it might be without first checking that item on the menu, but anyway even if he did he was probably already sitting down.

Some years back a friend of mine offered to replace the air-con unit in his rental unit. The landlord agreed. And then put the rent up at the end of the contract since the unit now had a new aircon unit. This was after he had agreed not to do exactly that.

Some of us were around, what maybe 2 decades ago, when there was a 500 baht exit fee collected at the airport. The process was quite straightforward. The problem is more about what happens to the money afterwards.
