Late 80's, early 90's, mostly on the Riviera, I was a wide-eyed teenager. It was special to me.

Subsequent visits have been very disheartening, especially Paris.

Every country's history is complicated. The Roman Empire had many shameful aspects, but few would deny the glory of their high points. Likewise, France added something unique and wonderful to the world.

It strikes me that the people who get so caught up with modern re-interpretations of the colonial period are blind to all the good that was done. Again, terrible things happened, but wonderful things happened too. Of course, the modern Twitter mob lacks the attention span necessary to appreciate masterpieces, symphonies, and architectural wonders.

Yes but, on the other hand, in general the French have excellent spelling and grammar ????

Didn't help either, unless they were writing we surrender.

I thought that the English language summary shown was good.

The explanation about mask types was helpful - should any supplies materialise around here.

As for showering when you return home and washing your clothes frequently - yes - but the village in which I live has had no tap water for over a week now. I have a tank and a cistern, but when they run dry that is it.

dig a bore,no town water here for 2 months,or surely you can get a water truck to deliver?
