  1. Hi, Thanks, I already read that topic, that's why I created a new one to have specifications on my problem.

After a few researchs, I found that testamentary trust is the best solution for me. Any idea where I can make one that will be able to manage multiple countries to recover the funds ?

    Thanks.

  2. Hello,

I have several accounts in different countries (bank accounts and trading accounts).

I would like to make a will in case something happens to me. Any advice ?

I believe it might be difficult to recover all the money from all the accounts in all the countries, is there an easy way to do this ?

Also, i'm always opening and closing new accounts in different countries, do i have to modify my will each time ?

    Best regards,

  3. I have it, never used it yet but tried at one hospital (sukhumvit hospital) and the hospital refused to call my insurance saying it wasn't allowed at their hospital. I told them many times that my insurance covers me in every hospital in the world but they didn't care at all. I went back home and called my insurance who told me to go to another hospital next time if this one don't want to accept their insurance.

  4. Hello,

This is the review of my renewal of my 5 yrs driving license with elite visa.

I went to the immigration to ask for the residence certificate, it took 8 whole hours, Elite Staff won't do it for me as they don't include this service even if you can pay for it.

Then i had to get a medical certificate from a clinic, yes it's mandatory, if you don't have it, no renewal.

Then i had to wait 1 month for my residence certificate to arrive at my condo.

Then i went to the DLT at Sukhumvit soi 62.

I asked them for renew my driving license and they said it couldn't be done because i didn't have the Non Immigrant visa.

They had no clue whatsoever what was an Elite visa.

Then a very feminine guy came in speaking in thai thinking i didn't understand saying it was a high so visa for douchebags with a lot of money, saying it costed 3000 baht a week to have VIP service. He then said "tam mai dai" a fez dozen times, i had to call the Thai Elite number and after 1 hour of arguments they agreed to renew for only 2 yrs... then i had to go back home because it was lunch time, i came back and 2 hours later i got the 2 yrs driving license.

My thought is that i'm absolutely not feeling like an Elite with this visa at all, the service is inferior than for example a non-b visa, a friend of mine crossed the Cambodia border with his Elite visa and was detained for 1 hour for questioning as the immigration officer didn't know what an Elite visa was, he thought it was a fake sticker.

The only thing that is good is the VIP lane at the airport, the free taxi and the 1 yr stamp. But for the rest i would have prefered to have another kind of visa as it's much more hassle. The discounts don't work anywhere, anytime i want to buy something they always say it's already special price.

  5. Any idea where to get the real price of the car by the thai customs ?

My understanding is it is calculated on the new vehicle price.

    Some really rough numbers......

So say this 10 year old Lambo cost $200,000 when sold new.

As it has an engine capacity of more than 3000cc it will attract the highest rate and that is 328%.

    $200.000 + 328% = $856,000

Due to age (10 years) it will attract a 70% discount.

    $856,000 - 70% = $256,800

    + $60,000 vehicle cost.

    Total spend to import = $326800 ( Bt.11,456,790.67).

Might as well buy one already here an avoid the mess.

Ok well, this is exactly the price of this model in Thailand actually !

So if i understand well, taxes are calculated on the new price instead of the second hand price, because my calculation was like this :

    Car is (60 000 USD real invoice from Dubai dealer + 328%) - 70% discount = 77 040 USD

    60 000 + 77 040 = 137 040 USD = 4.8 M baht

  6. Hello,

I would like to import a lamborghini from Dubai, the cost in Dubai for this model and year is 60 000 USD.

The car is 10 years old, i believe the discount tax is 70% but i'm not sure how to calculate the final price.

I think with the discount the car will cost in total 120 000 USD only instead of the double if i pay the same model in Thailand.

Do you know any company who can do all the paperwork in exchange of a reasonable fee ?

    Best regads,
