Anyway, we have now another report of someone who got an overstay stamp because of the 90 days report.
-
I got the same problem as you, they stamped that I don't have money in my passport, I came back a month later with an elite visa, and now they escort me with a golf cart inside the airport each time I come here with big smiles and golden suits. When I was deported they put me in a cell full of africans and indians and I was treated like a criminal too.

I have an elite visa and I'm getting tired of this stuff, I will leave this country very soon. I don't feel safe here, and it's not the overstayers the problem.

It had the 90 days mentioned like that one, but the stamp was a bit different than that one. He took it to his lawyer that said it was an overstay stamp. Immigration officer also told him the same thing.

He had his passport checked by his lawyer and the lawyer confirmed it was written overstay in thai. He just paid a fine and was let go.

I deleted the photo but it was an overstay stamp.

Hello,
A friend who has a work permit got an overstay stamp because he reported late his 90 days report of address.
He asked the immigration staff if it wasn't a mistake as it wasn't an overstay but the immigration staff told him it was indeed an overstay to not report your address every 90 days in time.
This happened in Jomtien.
Is this the new rule ? Whoever doesn't do the 90 days report in time gets an overstay stamp ?

Been in Thailand for 11 years, I'm moving soon out of Thailand.
Thailand is not fun anymore, always stressed by the ongoing corruption, police checkups, immigration headaches. I feel persecuted even if I never did anything wrong. Thai people don't like foreigners anymore.
This time I stayed 2 whole months in Dubai and life is so much better than in Thailand, I will try to move definitely soon.
Also Thailand is now very expensive compared to before, for the same price you can have x2 quality of life in Dubai.

Hello,
I'm renting my apartment in my home country (airbnb) and I have nowhere to leave my watch, can I bring it to Thailand without risks at the airport (customs) ?
I will not bring the box, just the watch, it's a personal item. I'm just worried that they might confiscate it because it's expensive and also maybe tax it.
My visa is elite visa, it's supposed to be a tourist visa.
Thanks.

Hello,
Back in Sept 2017 my lawyer made a tax id for me because I opened a company, but we had an accident and we had to close the company down before I even got the chance to make a work permit. Now I can't find the tax id and I don't have the number neither. I'm worried that they might come after me because I never filled any documents or taxes or anything.
How to cancel a tax id of which I don't have the number ? Do you guys have tax ids ? What happen if we never make any submission ? I'm a bit worried about this.
Thanks.

Maybe there was a dog on the road or something, I had to do an emergency stop like this with my car in the past because of that reason. The one in the back is always at fault, if he had kept the security distance nothing would have happened. Sometimes I also "brake test" some tailgaters, but very carefully. I don't like it when I have a dude at 100 km/h at 50 cm from my back. What I do is to light my car brake lights without actually braking to see if he stop tailgating me, it works 80% of the time, when it doesn't work I know I'm in trouble in case of an accident and I try to lose that car from my back.

Since I came to Thailand I waste more and more plastic, I get plastic bags everywhere, even for a straw.

It's the end of crypto in Thailand, the 7% VAT is ridiculous. Nobody will trade. Everybody is liquidating their positions today.
The 15% on profit was ok and enough.

I'm not a receipt guy, all my receipts are in the trash, even for stuff bought last week. Most of my stuff is old but valuable, macbook pro, high end phone, high end watch, high end tablet, high end camera.

Hello,
How to declare our goods before leaving ? Has anyone done it yet ? I don't want to pay taxes again on my stuff that I already own.
Thanks

Not completely useless since you can still get all the perks from the membership especially if you travel frequently.
If would also be a good fall back if the job ended.
You can pay 2K baht per time for the perks, anyone can use the elite service.

Being a member without the visa is quite useless by the way.

Ok so I had to go to Bangkok at the transportation office of Sukhumvit, it took 1 hour only. Arrived at 3pm, it was done at 4pm.
Then I had to do it all over again in Chonburi, with the same set of papers.
3 days after I got new plates and everything was transfered into my name in Chonburi.
The car has to be inspected 2 times.
For Bangkok :
The seller came with me so the seller had his documents
Visa, stamp and arrival card copy
Passport copy
Residence certificate from the immigration
Blue book
For Chonburi :
Visa, stamp and arrival card copy
Passport copy
Residence certificate from the immigration
Blue book

You can buy a little book with all the questions and correct answers in Canterbury tales in Soi Chayapoon.
Can I use that book to answer the questions ?

Wont my certificate of residence and medical test be expired by then ? Is it ok ? Thanks.
-
They didn't ask for anything else than my lease agreement and 3 photos and 600 thb for 2 residence certificates done in 30 minutes. Arrived in Thailand only 20 days ago.

I actually regret paying that much money after what they did to me. I will not renew the visa and I will leave the country when it's over.
Thailand should have the same rules for everyone and in every immigration office, rules should be clear and not up to the officer.
