  1. It sounds a little immature to be honest..

you may wish to impress on her that un-tattooed people farrang or otherwise also come in bad flavour.. youre girlfriend shouldnt need convincing as to whether you are a good farrang - tattoo or not - its irrelevant

if youre happy with your tattoo and it means something to you - be proud of it - and tell her to accept it or hit the road

if youre not happy with it - get it removed

    simple

/edit - having read the OPs next post with the txting, I concur with Ashacat - grow a pair of <deleted> man - jeesus! :o

  2. anyone have any preference when domestic flying in Thailand?

Thai Air are hideously expensive compared with Air Asia or Nok Air but are you paying for just the "Thai" name or is the service and organisation of the bigger airline far superior to the low cost alternatives..?

I fly Air Asia domestically, the seats are a bit scruffy and some of the seat belts don't work but it's always left and arrived on time in my experience and who cares about the lack of a free OJ and a stale sandwich in a one hour flight.

yep i couldnt agree more - i dont particularly care what freebies or food are on offer for an hours flight.... as long as the plane goes up, stays up and only comes down when its meant to - im happy :o

  5. ill be there just before songkran..

ive heard that at certain times of year the beaches of phuket are particularly hazardous for swimmers etc... what months does this apply?

  6. naihan beach is worth to go... much cleaner than others, and tranquil...

for most of the year and then the "hoards" arrive and its like a smaller version of patong albeit without the jet ski's

what time of year do these "hoards" arrive..?

  7. Applogies for Title.. pressed the send button too soon :o

Have been to Patong a few times, will be coming back in March/April but would also like a few days somewhere else, a bit quieter but not dead, nice beach with reasonable rooms and bars/restaurants..

ive had a look on the net at Phukets other resorts but having not been there its hard to know what theyre really like.

can anyone give me a few ideas wheres well worth staying or avoiding i.e. kata, karon, surin, kamala, nai harn, rawai etc etc

  8. Anyways, best of luck and look my up if ya need any help.

i might just hold you to that.. :o

/edit forget the above, not on the same realm anyway :D

  9. There are also 2 promising MMORPGs new out this year

    1) Vanguard - from the people behind the original EQ

    2) Conan - from the people behind Anarchy Online

Personally I think Conan will be the better one but doubt anything will break WOWs stranglehold until World of Starcraft or World of Diablo come out!

theres also Warhammer Online and Lord of the Rings Online due out later this year I believe... but im solidly hooked on WoW at the moment, its so much more involved than GuildWars

  10. no reason why not run RAID 1

it offers redundancy but no performance increase and you are halving your storage due to the second drive being the mirror... nothing wrong with it all. The benefit comes when you have a disk failure, your system can and will continue to work on the remaining disk no trouble.

depends what sollution youre after really.

  11. in the OP's defence he has probably been spending too much time on TV reading how every members wife here has a masters degree in nuclear physics, a 200,000 baht a month job and never set foot in a bar and wondering where he to can find one of these imaginery women.

every now and again i come across a post that makes me think

"yep thats it - i wish i had said that"

    brilliant :o

  12. <deleted> is this post a windup or what?

fking high end middle class, been to thailand many times... where can i find a classy chic.... jeeeezus h

how ever have the classy upper crust hi-so thai birds managed without you up till now?

  13. we send £200 once every 2 or 3 months from the UK, to take care of the family, but my wife works here and i have absolutely no problem with it. my wife doesnt have any children but her parents do look after her sisters daugher (5 years old) and we're kinda providing everything for her.... but again i have no problem with this.

i knew that most thais are family orientated long before we married and accepted that i/we would have to provide some financial help from time to time... its just part of the package, i have quite a few friends (UK) that are married to thais and they are all in the same boat.

if youre happy with your arrangement - who cares what others think.. i guarantee you there will be some replies telling you that youre mad...
