They’d be happy if he’d resign. -
MOPH: Drinking alcohol increases risk of contracting COVID
brucegoniners replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Where did this guy go to medical school? Yes, alcohol is evil. Keep saying it. -
Well of course not. Why would they? The pandemic is still an issue and this government has given them absolutely no time to plan their trips. People plan vacations months and sometimes years ahead. Are these guys so ignorant and/or dense to think people are just waiting for the word to book a trip to Thailand? Tourism will be back, but it will be mid 2022 at the earliest and most likely the usual high season next year.

A real barnburner I’m sure. Soon we’ll no doubt lose him to Hollywood.

Thai PM’s odd suggestions cause quite a stir

Speechless... -
That's funny. Trust me, with these guys in charge there is no bottom.

Just a great way to make sure the country continues to suffer. This is keeping tourists away (along with all of the government's other missteps) and the longer they keep bars closed and don't allow alcohol in restaurants the worse things will get for the people here. Even if this is just a rumor it will keep many people from coming here for what's left of the high season. These guys just can't get out of their own way.

Thailand to target ‘quality’ and first time visitors
brucegoniners replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
These guys crack me up. Still looking for the bucks, huh? Meanwhile they are alienating all of the people who normally enjoy Thailand. Not smart at all. If I didn't already live here I'd probably choose to travel somewhere else. -
Leisure travellers unlikely to visit Thailand until next year

Gee. Really? Brilliant deduction. Maybe people like to make their vacation plans more than a few hours ahead of time... -

Health officials warn drinkers not to breach COVID-19 rules
brucegoniners replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Give me a break. How about just warning all as&holes not to break rules? -
I wish these people would learn to get a leash for their dogs. We are dog owners. With 2 abandoned puppies we adopted over the weekend we now have 6. Our dogs don't run in the street, we walk them. And if they make noise we get them to stop. Rotties are beautiful and wonderful animals IF THEY'RE TRAINED PROPERLY. It's like any other dog. This guy should have his dogs taken away from him and the authorities should find a good home for them. It sounds like they need a responsible owner and some training. No dog is born bad.

I've got news for these people. 1) If they don't lift the booze ban and open the bars they'll get a small percentage of the number of tourists they expect and 2) Those who travel here, only to find out there is no alcohol served will be so <deleted> off they'll never return. Pretty much everyone likes a drink or two on vacation with few exceptions. Why this government is always so anti booze, acting like it's the answer to every one of the country's ills is beyond me.
