  1. Gee, maybe when the government makes their decisions one week prior to opening it might just impact people's plans...
  2. This might be the biggest bunch of BS that's ever come out of the mouth of this government. Yeah right. THEY'RE CONCERNED, LOL
  3. How about spending that money on the Thai people who are literally starving to death? What a sham!
  4. Thanks for the details and the suggestion, but I got my jabs in the USA and just have my vaccination card they gave me at the pharmacies. I expect that to be sufficient in most places since it's from the USA.
  5. So stupid. What percentage of the tourists won't consider traveling here if the bars aren't open? I think a lot. And many will come here, just assuming there's nightlife, be sadly disappointed and never come back. If you're going to let vaccinated foreign tourists in then give them Thailand.
  6. So one week out they've made a "decision", lol My question is, when will they change their minds? This afternoon or tomorrow?
  7. This government just can't do anything right. This is just like the Phuket Sandbox. It's October 20th. People would like to make PLANS. You Thai people do know what plans are, don't you? Wait, never mind. My wife doesn't make them either. But seriously! Make a decision, announce it and stick with it! Tell all of your embassies what that decision is. What a frikin joke. At least this time I'm in the country and not trying to get back in, dealing with their inept embassy!
  8. I find it very sad that these poor people get long prison sentences, while the people making the money rarely if ever get caught.
  9. Good! It's about time the lousy cabs here had competition! When I lived in Thailand the thing I hated the worst was taking taxis. They were constantly trying to rip you off in a variety of ways, especially in the tourist areas like Nana and Soi Cowboy. Uber had been discriminated against for awhile and now they've made it totally legal. I say it's about time! It's a much more dependable and cost effective service.
  10. This always cracks me up. They sell these things out in the open on the streets in Bangkok and every once in a while they have a raid. Kind of like the sex trade. It's "illegal", but there's an occasional "raid". Nice to see the fine men and women of the Thai police are keeping us safe!
  11. Oh my goodness, that's terrible news. So I won't have to walk around and smell the stink of as many smokes? Glory be!
  12. With a BJ, but it rarely happens, lol
  13. The man can't get out of his own way. I don't understand his words, but it's obvious to me he flaps his lips waaaaaay too much. He's in love with the sound of his own voice and has a major power trip not unlike many other military men and politicians. In this case you have both rolled into one. IF there's a fair election he'll see what the people think of him soon enough. That's unless he declares another state of emergency and decides to cancel the election. Nothing would surprise me.
  14. He's such a fun guy. If he had done his job we wouldn't be in this pickle.
  15. What a misleading headline. The people who run this site need to go to journalism school.
  16. What BS! The guy was protecting his home and his family. This is disturbing on a number of levels. What was the guy supposed to do, let him rob and kill him?
  17. Why aren't the borders not being better guarded? This is why we're in this situation in the first place.
