There're not enough teachers, mainly because the TCT always changes the requirements.

I would have to agree with you. I worked for 5 years as a teacher in Bkk at Assumption and another 2 years at one of the best gov schools in Thailand. Yet, when I moved to my wife's hometown, my license was refused because my university lost its accreditation and was no longer showing up online.

With all of my references and experience and with a degree I am unable to work legally now because of TCT. My school won 2nd place in Thailand's national English competition while I was there.

None of this matters now. So let them sweat it out and eventually the laws will change again and the schools will have more of supply of teachers to choose from. Until then, do as I do! Kick back and relax to a movie in the arm s of someone you care about an don't let it bother you.

Don't Thais think they are invincible and that everyone has their eyes on them? I can't count how many times I have had a car or motorcycle just pul out from a side street or store and the driver doesn't even look to see I m coming. They can afford gas but they can't fix a he'd or tail light. In my rural area although I am sure they know what a helmet is. It is a side decoration until they get into the city.

I have been in some small accidents and let m give you some advice. Get a camera to prove your innocence. Your guilty unless it is totally obvious they other guy at fault.

It is not just the hospitals at fault here. Drug companies give doctors perks for prescribing their brand of medicines. The more scripts they write the more perks they get. The pharmacy doesn't choose to give you the most expensive. They just fill the doctors orders. I tested this theory at a Bangkok hospital. They gave me an outrageous price for what the doctor had written. When I asked if they could fill it with something that costs less, they did. Commenting to my wife that next time we should tell the doctor to use a different and cheaper brand medicine.

You will not see a doctor writing those expensive scripts to some poor Thai lady. They are just taking advantage of people any way they can.

Don't know where you lived before bit things have changed. You can't even insult a policeman in the US now without getting formally charged with a crime. Duh! Why make a new law for this when their is already a law for gatherings of more than a few people in force? Just use that with the article 44. These gangs are a nuisance and a danger to themselves and to others when they are racing. You won't see them racing without a crowd of friends so using this part of art 44 would be legal. Then scrap their bikes or send them to the poor people and make the family pay huge fines. These kids will get the message after they lose all and their parents have to bail them out of jail with say (20,000 baht) in fines. Where is that? My wife insists on the nets on doors and windows. Calling the neighbor loud "A-sokaprok" for having things not cleaned up. So this article only claims the police found the drugs in the car yet they may have been planted by the police. Why did the cops shoot at the car if no weapons were used by the other men? Is it police procedure to shoot first at unarmed suspects? Many more questions need to be asked about all of this story than just "were the drugs planted?"

Their effort in tackling this problem as far as I can recall has yet to incriminate a single boss or leader. Only small amounts of lower level people have arrest warrants. People who were paid to look the other way and people who profited by aiding the traffickers. This is a start but it is a far cry from a solution. Those kingpins and leaders of these groups will just be back in business as soon as the pressure is off of them. Those gov officials and police who were moved to inactive posts will be doing the same thing given the chance. So basically their efforts are still just for show. Patting themselves on the back and hoping the world sees only what they want them to see so they get their tier level raised.

Education and student needs should not be used in the same sentence. Students don't have a clue what they need as far as education goes. It is up to the educated adults to determine advancement and education standards that not only prepares them for the world but also to prepare them for a University and for their futures in the modern workforce. Discipline in moderation and better study habits as well as curriculum also needs to be changed. Their "no fail" system needs to be scrapped and students need to be taught to be responsible for their learning.

So they believe the kids mother who is not even in Pakistan with those kids that their are no links to insurgents. They don't think the mother might be clueless about her sons actions just like most insurgents mothers?
